DESCRIPTION

I learned very humbly that there are four seasons to a person’s life, and to a day, and to a creative cycle, and I didn’t understand the importance of winter. I think living in modern society we don’t 'like' winter because it isn’t as productive and so we tend to get through winter as if it’s still summer. And that was true for me in terms of the ecosystem of my creativity. I did not 'winter', let things die, to decompose and to rejuvenate the soil ,so towards the end, whenever there is a seed planted, I could push so hard and it wouldn’t grow, and then it started to feel very unnatural, both internally and externally for me, and I definitely crashed. If you don’t 'winter', nature will force you to, whether it’s land that is no longer fertile, or an inner ecosystem…”

SBIFF 2026 - Outstanding Director: Chloé Zhao Discussion

Hello my loves~ This month I finished up the final touches of our february (windows 95) and march (tamagotchi) bundles, and also published the april bundle, frutiger aero!! I will showcase previews of these below, and you can click the links below to be taken to each bundle!! <3<3

Click underlined text to be taken to each bundle: Feb - Windows 95 ///// March - Tamagotchi Color and Black&White ///// April - Frutiger Aero Windows XP /// and as always, you can find every bundle i've ever created by clicking here!

tomodatchi life, of course~ since the animal crossing new horizons phenomenon, it has been a while since any game has garnered such a wide community, all sharing their in-game creations. it is hard to put into words how emotional it makes me to see how lovingly everyone is crafting their little islands to be. we have a tomodatchi life channel in our discord, too, and i would love to see your creations!!

the sun ☀️!! i used to be such a winter and rainy day lover but gosh, every sunny day recently, i cannot stop myself from hopping out of my door and walking in the direction of the sun for as long as i can spare. every single drop of sunshine on my skin feels like it is fixing something

bird watching!!! i'd really recommend the 'Merlin' app - it is a free, charity run app that allows you to identity birds from their song or photos or descriptions!

bluebells

meeting new people, and putting myself out of my comfort zone!! it is very powerful to put yourself in socially 'uncomfortable' situations sometimes, and i've found almost all of them to be unbelievably rewarding. even a few months ago, I don't think i'd have been able to fathom it, but i've become addicted to the payoff of a little initial awkwardness in exchange for human connection. it's important to remember that none of us have it figured out, it is everyone's first time on earth. i tell myself this over and over, and now i cannot stop telling strangers the compliments i've always wanted to say, or walking up and striking conversations with people at stalls or whatnot!! i love people so much!!

rediscovering things i used to love!! - this time of year always brings such strong nostalgia, I think it is because we are finally defrosting (either from winter for the northern hemisphere, or just from the new year, for all of us - I don't think it's too late to say we are finally 'coming-to' after the new year, either: i saw a post a while ago that said january and february are for resting, march is for planning, and april is for springing into action. what a gentle approach to the year.)

i've been listening to music i used to love!! 4:00am by taeko onuki has been on repeat recently

i've been rewatching cartoons i used to love, such as steven universe, mlp, and my favourite anime, neon genesis evangelion~

there is a lot of strength in learning to re-love the things that you moved loved, but then began to find cringe, and have now come full circle to love again. the ouroboros of interests <3

metal (love love love copper and silver especially right now!!)

mangoes, and fruit salads!!

This month I finished reading 'the idiot' by Fyodor Dostoevsky (INCREDIBLE!!!) and started reading 'the Empusium' by Olga Tokarczuk - so far, the Empusium has the most compelling writing style i've encountered in a while, it is so beautifully written. Olga Tokarczuk was awarded a nobel prize in literature and I can absolutely see why!! I'm only about a third of the way through, but I couldn't recommend the Empusium enough, so beautiful, so visually visceral, so perfect!!

My friend and I have been wanted to try out this extremely fancy cinema in our city for a long time, and when project hail mary released, we knew it was the perfect movie to watch in such comfy seats with such fancy snacks. What we didn't anticipate is that our Thursday evening viewing would immediately be followed by a Saturday night viewing, too!! Project hail mary was so unbelievably fantastic that we went straight back to the fancy cinema to experience it a second time. I won't pop any spoilers in here, but I will say that I somehow cried even harder the second time. SO incredible!!

I also watched perks of being a wallflower after all these years! My letterboxd review was originally going to say 'glad i watched this at 24 and not 14' but realistically, this move wrecked me way more now than it would've done then. God, such a beautiful film. It makes me despair but feel so hopeful at the same time!!

Also, let's follow each other on letterboxd!! I don't take it too seriously but I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee reading my friends reviews and getting recommendations~! https://boxd.it/7LB6t

I am so sorry that the past three months came with a little bit of a delay on the patreon goodies and newsletters - as I mentioned in some recent posts, I sprained the wrist of my drawing hand very badly, and when I tried to work through the injury I ended up getting a really bad swelling in some of my fingers. Luckily I was still able to draw, meaning I could still get the goodies complete, but they were a little later than I'd hoped, and I am so sorry for that delay!! I also didn't manage to get the procreate brush bundle finished this month for the same reason, but after a little bit of rest, I think I should be able to get back to work on that!! The May bundle should be with you mid-may, then I am hoping to get the June bundle to you back on schedule, on the first of june! Thank you SO much for your patience, you have all been so lovely and understanding and I cannot put into words how greatful I am <3<3

The solution will be in the patreon chats of our discord server! <3

What have you loved this month? A color, food, album, sight, etc etc etc <3

Did you read any books or magazines or articles or listen to any audiobooks this month?

Did you watch any movies (that you loved, or hated) this month?

What is your favourite type of flower or plant?

I'd love to know if you have any feedback for what you'd like to see more of in this patreon community - any ideas you have, anything you've liked or not liked, anything that you think would improve your enjoyment of this patreon space, I'd love to hear it!! I am always always interested in knowing your thoughts; feedback means the absolute world to me and makes sure I can give back to you all - thank you SO much <3<3

Thank you so much for spending April with me. I cannot wait to continue making this patreon community cosier and cosier, and including more goodies for you each month. I know it's easy to say this, but i truly appreciate you, so, so, so much. I am cosmically grateful to be a part of your world, I honestly cannot put it into words, 'grateful' doesn't begin to come close. If you are reading this right now, you are stunning & so so cool. Love you ALWAYS, Bunny <3<3
