The registration for the domain that includes https://win32subsystem.live/supermium/ has been suspended after a complaint was sent alleging that malware was distributed on the website. The complaint is part of a long-term campaign of targetted harassment against Supermium and its developers.
The registrar, Porkbun, did not acknowledge our response to the complaint, which was sent roughly two hours after initial notification, and about ten hours before the suspension of the domain, whose contents are linked from many pages by significant entities, including Microsoft).
It is possible that the Supermium website may have to be relocated to another domain in the near future. Other mitigations to prevent this type of incident from occurring in the future will also be needed, including the purchase of a certificate to sign all binaries.
