I spent this weekend sketching out the next ~6-7 Solipsus pages. So now I know exactly where that comic is headed for the short term, which is a great place to be in at this present moment.
For God Slayers, however, I find myself a little stuck. I still have my outline that I've had for almost a decade now. I know where that comic is heading in the short-medium term, but I am, as of this very moment completely at a loss as to what to draw IMMEDIATELY. The biggest issue being that I need to show some passage of time, but I don't want to do that the lazy way with a simple box and text in it that says "Later." So my approach to simulate the passing of time has been to pop around some, check in on some of the other characters, advance some side plots... and I intend to do that, but I also feel like I need to simulate MORE time passage before advancing the next SIDE plot points too.
It's a feeling, more than anything grounded in logic.
I also think I kind of need a break. I'm pretty worn down and I don't think I've taken a true break since Christmas. AND I still need to finish that Cera x Bert art. Lagging behind on Bonus arts so far this year.
HOWEVER, I've got some kind of an existence-related anniversary coming up NEXT week, and I usually like to take a break just for myself around then anyway, and as I've been writing these paragraphs I've also been idly sketching some random Pyre fanservice in between them, so a comic to fill the sort of ? slot this week may be manifesting anyway.
So maybe I'll just give y'all some Pyre fanservice this week. Everyone loves Pyre. They probably shouldn't. But it is what it is. Some people just don't know what's good for them. Maybe this one will make some of you rethink simping over her, though. Eh, who am I kidding...
