I feel like I have worked my Tiny little Butt off on this project for three years and it is actually starting to build some momentum now. I started this 2021 with 3,000 subscribers on Youtube, and now we're bumping towards 20,000 at a pleasing rate. I have made some music and videos I'm really proud of! And some that if I'm totally honest I'd probably not rush to see again! But I can't express how beautiful it has been to have total strangers connect with the (sometimes inaccessibly) specific things that I craft with painstaking love in my bedroom. For me, that's a feeling that can't be beat!My Spotify has also kicked off (10x last years streams, that's Nice) thanks to some help from the algorithm. Which is actually all thanks to you all streaming saving and sharing my songs. I am now making a modest amount per month from streams which is a real blessing, as I am not exaggerating when I say I have spent thousands of hours writing and producing these songs over the last few years.Countless thanks must also go to Hunter Allen. Any time you see the camera moving, it is because he is moving it. He is utterly instinctive, profoundly perceptive and generously tolerant of my Artistic Vision. And - I think you will agree - he's a wizard of an editor (cf. MSN Messenger video).
2022 is the year Jazz Emu quits his day job and does this full time! He can feel it. He just needs, realistically, to *double* his Patreonic and Musical income to be comfortable. So please keep sharing the Good News. The more you can give my videos a little boost on Reddit forums the better. (I'm aware Redditors will rage at me for requesting this, but "sorry"! Successful posts on r/videos and r/listentothis have been the only way to grow my Youtube following in the cruel world of algorithm...). In return I will continue to feed you the beautiful fruits of my mental loins.My main excitement for next year is that I've written a live show. It's a solo theatre show with live music, in which I'll play some of my big songs and explore my flawless personality before your eyes. I want to bring it to as many places as I can (probably mainly to arts festivals that have already an intrigued audience available). Realistically this will mainly be in the UK next year, but as you might have noted I'm hoping to reveal soon some other worldwide locations, pandemic permitting...Then, from the Autumnal season next year, we travel to as many places around the world as I can afford! The other big dream is playing some of these as a live music gig with a band, where you can all sing along and scream at each other and dance and drink and throw roses at me. I can't wait to see you there. And I suppose I might chuck out a couple of gorgeous and moving songs while I'm at it.
