Not a great week.
Everything took more time and proved more complicated than planned.
Editing the script of scene 37 has been a nightmare. I thought it would be easy, but I couldn't be more wrong. I wanted to take it down from 6200 words to around 4200, and I miserably failed. Every time I removed something, I ended up feeling like something was then utterly missing and added it back in immediately. So I tried rephrasing, with very little success. After two days of trying to bring the word count to a reasonable number, I gave up. The scene will be bigger than the others. There's nothing I can do about that.
But that wasn't the end of my adventures with that script.
While cutting the script and preparing it for posing, I came to have some doubts about a situation I was describing. So I decided to quickly try to pose it in Daz. Only to realize that posing it was effectively impossible. I considered completely cutting that sequence out (it was about 700 words long), but it felt pretty bad, like a gaping hole in the scene, breaking the rhythm and the intensity I took 4500 words to build. So... You guessed it, I had to embark on a rewriting journey.
To be honest, it's not the first time this has happened. There have already been several occasions where I found myself confronted with a description I wrote that I couldn't pose. But I'm learning. Until now, that was the kind of issue I encountered right during the posing. Nowadays, I tend to try some rough posing before I write a description, just to make sure. Obviously, I got a little bit too confident on this one.
Rewriting done, storyboard ready. The script is now just under 5900 words. I planned 183 shots to illustrate it. I'm not planning any animations until I'm fixed on whether I'll use AI frame generation or not. There are several spots where I can plug in a loop if I decide to.
I'll be honest, I feel considerably more serene since I decided to put the animations aside.
I've only started posing this afternoon, so only three shots are posed for now. The real work starts next week.
I'll certainly take some time to quickly finish coding scene 36 with the new elements from the hard sub path and some edits concerning the dual sub path. That will allow me to finally send it to my proofreader.
I will also take some time to finalize and publish that demo version of the game I talked about last week.
Aside from that, the next 4 weeks will most likely be dedicated to posing scene 37.
The quick sum up.
