I consider this unfair, sad and absolutely out of context.
Then it is obvious and right that there are exceptions, and it is equally right that everyone does what they believe is right, but whoever does it should look in the mirror and ask themselves what they would have done in modding if everyone before them had denied them the possibility by encrypting everything .
And I think that I could probably feel above all others in this discussion as I am probably the oldest active modder, the one with the most experience and who has made cars since the days of GTR2 or rFactor.
I am also heavily annoyed and disappointed by those who have recently stolen my work and distributed a private mod just by changing the rims and also ruining my physics, what should I do? do I have to encrypt too?
Whoever steals and doesn't respect the work of others in the slightest has won? and those who share do not understand that by doing so, not respecting the work, the passion and the thousands of hours that so many benefit from... everyone will end up encrypting and making the continuation of modding impossible
forcing everyone to give up everything it gives us?
I assure you that many modders, even well-known ones, have thanked me several times and recognized me for what I have conveyed to them, and this is a beautiful demonstration of what is beautiful in people, but unfortunately not everyone is like them.
Some time ago I decided to follow a different path, precisely because too many people were ungrateful for what I gave them and I could very well not have shared with them, this seemed and seems unfair to me, I have always supported the work of those who I it provided hours of entertainment
