An exciting announcement!
I just wanted to let you know that today is an exciting day! After being laid off from AlephObjects in October of 2019, and after being cast aside by the new owners of LulzBot, several of my co-workers and I were hired by a Tampa, Florida company to work on a secret project.
Today, that project has been revealed to the world, the SynDaver AXI 3D printer!
This printer is running Drunken Octopus and has many upgraded features over the LulzBot workhorse:
A 32-bit Archim 2.0 board
Color touch screen
USB flash drive support
Push-button 25 point mesh leveling using a BLTouch sensor
Illuminated, E3D 1.75 mm Hermera toolhead
Removable flexible bed plate
Filament run out sensor
In addition, because Cura LE is no longer being supported, and we found it was entirely infeasible for SynDaver to continue to support the existing code, I had the opportunity to develop an entirely new web-based slicer based on CuraEngine:

While it doesn't have all the features of Ultimaker Cura just yet, I hope it will grow up to be a fantastic alternative! Oh and it runs on Chromebooks too (great for educational customers!)

June 21st Drunken Octopus Firmware Release:
Happy Summer Everyone!
This release turns off stealthchop on Z for machines which are using a lead screw and Trinamic drivers. This should address the issue some of you have been seeing where steps are being lost on Z.
This release also adds a new build for those of you wanting to modify a TAZ Pro to use a BLTouch and a standard Aero toolhead.
I've changed the nomenclature on the version number and tags to read "2.0.x-rc18", since technically Drunken Octopus comes from the bugfix-2.0.x branch and does not track the stable releases.
