Jackie and Laressa became my “foster fails”
When my beloved Ash passed away in April and I started to foster cats, I knew in the back of my mind that someday I would adopt again. This time around I wanted a pair that could keep each other company when I was not at home.
Jackie and Laressa were my third fosters, a mother-and-daughter pair that had been surrendered to the shelter together. When I first brought them home, they did not get along at all—there was much hissing, fighting, and stress! I was at wit's end and considered returning one to the shelter! By the second week, however, they began to sniff each other and their relationship began to improve. Soon thereafter, I caught them sleeping together, and later cuddling and grooming each other intensely. It was clear that they had become besties and I had to keep them!
Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday!
Drunken Octopus Release 54!
In other news, I've made a new release of Drunken Octopus. This release updates the code to the latest as of November 21st, 2022, and provides an important fix to fan PWM on Rambo and Mini Rambo boards. It also provides a fix for the TAZ Pro motion screen to allow motion once the printer is homed. The E3D_Hermera build has been renamed H175_Hemera and incorporates new PID tuning settings!
You can find release 54 on GitHub here:
