I've always loved Mithril since LOTR so I wanted to make a dwarf and cover them in it, but without making armor. I landed on a smith/dressmaker fusion of royal lineage. The Muse typing doesn't strictly refer to bards, but artists in general (I could've conveyed that better in the icon...)
But yeah, as with any other adopt, you ultimately decide what they are!
