Hello friends!
I'm releasing the AI follower as a public test. I'm sure she still needs work, but I want everyone to give her a try. User guide and requirements are below. Please post comments if you find issues.
Please consider signing up to my Patreon. I really need the help and funds right now, especially as my toolset has increased in cost and diifficulty.

Overview
Sava is a Nord warrior you'll find at the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood. Born in the Pale near Dawnstar, she was raised on warrior traditions and carries the beast blood of a werewolf -- a source of both power and occasional vulnerability. She's warm, direct, and fiercely loyal, adapting her fighting style, gear, and behavior to suit whatever you need.
Getting Started
Find Sava at the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood
Talk to her and choose the recruitment dialogue to bring her along
Receive the Summon Sava spell automatically on game load or start -- use it anytime to teleport her to your side
She'll begin following you. You should pick a combat style for her as soon as possible.
Summon Spell
Cast the Summon Sava spell from your spell menu to teleport her directly to you. Works from anywhere in the world. A portal effect appears at the summon location. The spell will notify you if she's already nearby (within 300 units) or if something prevents summoning.
Dialogue Menu
Talk to Sava to access her main dialogue menu:
Option -What It Does
Follow me - Resume following you
Wait here - Hold current position
I need you to do something - Enter command mode (point at things for her to interact with)
Trade - Open her inventory for trading
I'd like to change your outfit - Opens outfit selection submenu
Let's talk about combat - Opens combat style selection
Let's talk about home - Set or clear her home location
Rest and look around - Enter sandbox mode (she'll sit, lean, wander)
I'll see you at home - Dismiss her to her assigned home (or Riverwood if no home set)
Combat System
Three Combat Styles
Switch Sava's combat style through dialogue ("Let's talk about combat"):
Style - Weapons - Behavior
Archery - Fire-enchanted bow + arrowsKeeps distance, ranged spells
Two-Handed - Fire-enchanted battleaxeAggressive melee, power attacks
Dual Axes - Two fire-enchanted war axesFast dual-wield, spellsword hybrid
Each style has its own spell loadout and combat AI tuning.
Weapon Tier Auto-Scaling
Sava's weapons automatically upgrade as you level. No action needed -- she'll notify you when she acquires new gear.
Player Level - Weapon Material
1 - Steel26 -Orcish31 - Dwarven41 - Elven52 - Glass63 - Ebony74 - Daedric
All weapons are fire-enchanted. Tier is checked approximately every 30 seconds.
Outfit System
Sava has 4 outfit slots that auto-switch based on where you are:
OutfitTriggers - When...
Adventuring - In dungeons or wildernessSleep - Near beds or bedrollsTown - In cities, towns, settlements, innsHome - At her assigned home location or player houses
How Auto-Switching Works
Every few seconds, Sava checks her surroundings and switches to the appropriate outfit. Priority order: Home > Town > Sleep > Adventuring. She won't switch during combat, while mounted, while sitting, or in werewolf form.
Customizing Outfits
Sava doesn't come with any outfits. You must add items to each outfit first.
Select "I'd like to change your outfit" from her dialogue menu, then pick which outfit slot to customize. A container opens where you can add or remove armor pieces. Only armor items are accepted -- weapons and misc items will be rejected.
To return her to her original look, select "(Reset Outfit)" from the outfit menu.
Home System
Setting a Home
Travel to where you want Sava to live
Talk to her and select "Let's talk about home"
Choose "I want you to live here"
That location is now her home
When she's near her home, she'll auto-switch to her Home outfit. When dismissed, she'll travel back to this location.
Clearing a Home
Select "I want you to move" from the home dialogue. She'll revert to her default behavior and return to the Sleeping Giant Inn when dismissed.
Werewolf Transformation
Sava carries the beast blood. When enabled, she has a chance to transform into a werewolf during combat.
How It Works
Trigger: chance during combat
Cooldown: 5 minutes
Duration: Stays in werewolf form until ~12 seconds after combat ends
Revert: Automatically reverts to human form after combat, restoring her outfit, weapons, and normal behavior
During Wolf Form
She will not speak -- no dialogue, no AI-generated lines, no combat chatter
She fights as a pure beast using werewolf attacks
She is briefly invulnerable during the transformation animation
After reverting, she resumes all normal behavior including AI dialogue
Bleedout & Recovery
When Sava takes enough damage, she enters bleedout (goes down on one knee). After a few seconds, a recovery scene triggers:
She receives a healing potion and restores 100 HP
She gets back up and continues fighting
If the player dies while Sava is recruited, she reacts with a death scene.
SkyrimNet AI Integration
This entire section requires the SkyrimNet mod. Without it, Sava works as a standard follower with traditional dialogue. With it, she becomes a fully AI-driven companion with contextual speech and intelligent action understanding.
What SkyrimNet Adds
SkyrimNet gives Sava an AI-powered personality. She'll:
React to events with unique, context-aware spoken dialogue
Understand natural language -- talk to her conversationally and she'll respond intelligently
Execute actions based on what you say -- ask her to switch combat styles, change outfits, set up a home, and more
Remember context -- she knows her current combat style, weapon tier, outfit, home status, and werewolf state
Autonomous Reactions
These happen automatically without any player input. Sava reacts to what's happening around her:
Reaction - When It Triggers - Cooldown
Combat start - She draws weapons and enters a fight - 60 secondsCombat victory - All enemies are defeated - 45 secondsHit reaction - She takes significant damage (scales with health %) - 30 secondsBattle commentary - Mid-fight attack lines (30% chance per check) - 45 secondsIdle comment - Random thoughts while exploring~2 game hoursGear commentary - Comments on weapons and armor~4 game hoursNew location - Arriving at a new named location1 - 20 seconds per locationPlayer bumps into her - Physical collision with the player - Per occurrenceDiscovers a body - Notices a dead NPC nearby - Per occurrence
All autonomous speech is suppressed during werewolf form.

Tips for SkyrimNet Interactions
Be conversational -- Sava's AI understands natural speech. You don't need exact phrases.
Give her time -- AI dialogue generation takes a moment. Don't spam requests.
She knows her state -- Ask her what combat style she's using or whether werewolf is enabled and she can tell you.
Outfit customization vs. wearing -- If you want to give her new items, say something like "I have some gear for you" (opens the container). If you want her to switch to an existing outfit, say "put on your town outfit."
She won't talk as a werewolf -- This is intentional. Snarling beasts don't have conversations. All AI dialogue resumes after she reverts.
Context carries over -- Events during werewolf form (like transforming and reverting) are remembered by the AI. After reverting, she may reference what happened.
FAQ / Troubleshooting
Q: Sava isn't switching outfits automatically. A: Make sure you've added items to the outfit slot via the customize dialogue. Auto-switching only works with configured outfits. Also check that she's not in combat, mounted, sitting, or in werewolf form.
Q: Her weapons aren't upgrading. A: Weapon tier is checked every ~30 seconds based on your player level. If you just leveled up, wait a moment and she'll upgrade. You'll see a notification when it happens.
Q: SkyrimNet dialogue isn't working. A: Verify SkyrimNet.esp is active in your load order. Sava checks for SkyrimNet at runtime -- if it's not present, all AI features are gracefully skipped.
Q: She's talking during werewolf form. A: This shouldn't happen. She's added to SkyrimNet's actor blacklist during transformation and all DirectNarration calls are individually guarded. If you encounter this, please report it.
Q: Where does she go when dismissed? A: If you've set a home location, she goes there. If not, she returns to the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood.
Q: Can I use her without SkyrimNet? A: Yes, but she is a very basic follower with zero extra lines.
Q: The summon spell says "Sava is already nearby." A: She's within 300 units of you. Look around -- she's close.
Compatibility
Works with or without SkyrimNet (all AI features are soft dependencies)
Does not use the vanilla follower system (PlayerFollowerFaction) -- should be compatible with follower management mods
Uses custom AI packages, combat styles, and outfit system -- no vanilla record edits
