Hello Patrons! Thank you so much for your patience and support. The bug animation is almost finished I’ll be assembling it soon and then moving on to the voice-over.
I’ve drawn all the scenes I wanted for the Silksong animation and even made a lot of variations to make it more interesting. However, I’m starting to feel that I should step away from that approach, because extra versions take a lot of additional time. I’d really like to work in a faster format, similar to artists like Kamuo and Wamudraws, where there are a few simple loop scenes that switch between each other.
The end of the year is coming up, and on December 29 I’ll be turning 25. Yay! Time to reflect a bit. I feel like I’m in my prime right now the quality of my art and animations has grown a lot. However, the quality of my work doesn’t always correlate with success as an artist. I’m doing okay financially and I’m not complaining, but I’m currently living paycheck to paycheck, which constantly makes me think about how I can work more often, more efficiently, and create ideas that truly hook the viewer. I’ll be thinking about this and trying to implement new ideas in the new year.
Right now, I still owe two commissions and the Kobeni artwork that won the poll, so expect all of that next week as I try to close out the year with no (or almost no) loose ends.
Thank you so much for your support, and I hope this year brought you as much progress as it did for me or even more.
