what if in the beginning there was darkness and void and utter dismal chaos, and not enough light. perhaps that is how some of us are born, or what we are born into. a chronic unawareness to the lack of light we've been given. or perhaps just dimmed in such dark circumstances that the glimpse of something brighter is more a pain than it's worth. perhaps this is mostly about appreciation, a desire to see more clearly what is given to us, what we have, and how little we utilize it and with any hope, how to do so better with hindsight and foresight.
or else fall prey to that identity of all consuming darkness
