This day has changed for me over the years. Since starting the channel and learning more about the wars, I’ve come to understand that every soldier had a story, a life, and people who loved them. Those stories have become much more real and personal to me, and every loss feels like a deep sacrifice, not just a number in history. Seeing these stories come alive has given me an even deeper respect for those who gave their lives, along with a greater sadness for everything that was lost.
I hope today we can all be grateful for our freedom and remember those who gave it to us. I hope those who grieve them can feel comfort and pride.
Be safe today. I unfortunately got the stomach flu or food poisoning (can’t tell) on our way home from my sons hockey tournament Vegas, it was a terrible drive if you can imagine :( Hoping it’s over soon.
