Happy New Year everyone!
This is going to be a long post where I discuss the past few years, and plans for the future.First off, I want to start by giving a massive thanks to all of my supporters. There have been so many times where I was in a rough spot financially, and my only safety net was income from Patreon. Your support has, quite literally, kept me fed and housed these past few years, and I can't even begin to describe how deeply I appreciate it. Since I began making art in 2023, I've had to move twice and change jobs four times, all while dealing with a multitude of financial issues, substance abuse, and declining mental health. The stress and circumstance all culminated in early 2025, but I am happy to say that I am finally, finally in a stabilizing spot in life. I have been lucky enough to find a job and a place to live, and there is no more overbearing pressure in my day-to-day living.A few months ago, after things had started to settle, I was prescribed with medication to help with my attention issues and mood swings. Thus far, it has made a huge difference in improving my mental capabilities and emotions. It has helped me sleep better, have a more consistent schedule, and reframe what's important to me. It has also helped fix my dependence on harmful substances that previously kept my brain in a fog.Since then, I have spent much of my time doing fixes and improvements to my models, as well as learning newer, faster ways to animate. I know I have said many times that I was planning to animate a lot, and so often I was unable to focus or wrap my head around it. I feel that I produced far less content this year than I wanted, especially animations. I also don't think my older animations are very good, so I've been developing a better system to achieve more lifelike results that I believe my previous works sorely lacked. I do wish I could show off a finished work right now, rather than just talk about it, but in 2026 I fully intend to transform all of the technical work I've been doing into animations you will enjoy. While I do have a busier schedule now than previously, it is consistent, and allows me to block out a number of hours every day to work on art. I am still struggling with enjoying the animation process, but I believe once I do enough of it, I will enjoy it more than making a normal image render. My ultimate goal with my art is to make beautiful animations with all of my characters, and to bring the ideas in my head to life in a real, fluid manner. I have way more ideas than I have time to make, but I am learning to focus on fewer things at once, instead of starting new projects and abandoning old ones. I believe that 2026 will be an incredible year for my art, and that I will really delve into longer/more quality content than before. With all of that said, thank you again to everybody, from paid supporters to free enjoyers, it is all such a tremendously positive response to what I used to see as a simple hobby. I wish for animation to become a lifestyle for me, and I will do everything I can to make that dream a reality.Thank you, one more time, from the bottom of my heart. Here's to an amazing New Year to all!
