Okay I’m going to take a month break.
I’m not quitting or anything, I just need a bit more than a week off (what I realistically get when I take a normal break and accounting for pre and post prep) after going strong for the last four years.
I want to make sure the next chapters/arc lives up to everyone's imaginations and I’d rather delay slightly than write something ‘bad’ that I regret later. I always hate when shows and such take a hard dip in creatively rather than take a break and if I do the same thing its foolish.
Which all and all makes me feel like the best way I can take a break without feeling like I’m not providing something for everyone’s payments is to pause the payments.
I’ll see everyone February 20th, worry not.
As for the patreon, as far as I can tell things should pick right back up after a single month per the link below but I'm delaying by a day to give people time to cancel their membership as they see fit. No hard feelings to those that do.
Important bits copy pasted for those who are like me and never click out:
Member Access During a Pause:
Members retain access to your Patreon and all posts while billing is paused. Your Patreon remains live, but existing paid members are not billed for the pause month. For charge upfront, existing paid members' memberships are extended for the duration of the pause. For Subscription Billing, memberships are not extended; members will not be charged during the pause but will resume billing once the pause ends
Impact on billing dates and charges:
Pausing billing prevents members from being charged but does not change their billing date
Once a billing cycle has been paused, you cannot retroactively charge members for any paused period
