Whew this last month was busy! Both from a creative side and also just in personal life stuff. Thankfully, a lot of it is either done on on its way to being done and I can hopefully get back to a more normal pace.
One big change this last month is I'm taking a break from streaming. Instead, I just sit down and have dedicated studio time. It's basically the same as streaming except I don't need to worry about being "on" as much. It is quite a bit more lonely to make things off-camera, but it has been useful to divorce the concept that number of viewers equals how successful I am.
Streaming will probably resume in October some time, definitely for the Two Hour Album Challenge, but until then I'm going to just keep things really chill.
I did finish the Moving Houses album for my buddy yesterday. Finally shipped it off to distro and all that paperwork. Even though it was only a few original songs, they were very far outside my wheelhouse and it took a long time to get done. That's OK though! I do plan on sharing the album here in a day or two.
I believe I also mentioned the Troubadeck that a friend of mine ran a Kickstarter for a few months ago. My goal this weekend is to finish recording the remainder of the loops this weekend (I still have Hearts and Clubs to do, so halfway there!) I'll definitely share those loops with everyone here too in case you need some chill background music for music/solo practicing.
After that it's processing Season 22 and getting that ready for release too. I always forget how much time it takes to get an album out the door and all the paperwork associated with that. It's worth it though, especially because Season 22 was full of amazing songs.
