Last one of the year! Also the last "song a week" song for the foreseeable future as well. I guess with all the endings I felt like making a song that could go over a credits sequence.
I'll get into it more on the yearly update next week, but the short version is that I'm going to take a break from weekly songs. It's been feeling less like a creative challenge and more like a box to check every week and I feel like that's not me at my best. If a song takes some time to make, I want to ensure that it gets the attention it deserves.
This does mean less songs overall but hopefully they will be a higher quality and, more importantly, I'll have a bit more fun with the process.
This weekend I plan on doing a stream on YouTube to find a home for all the songs made this year. I feel like 2025 is going to be doing a lot of work finishing songs that I started this year and that's kind of exciting.
