After several months of struggling, I feel like things are getting a bit more on track. I'm in the midst of the National Solo Album Month and am working on trying to put together an album. I posted a preview song (and the album art!) yesterday if you wanted to check it out.
I don't honestly have much else planned this month. I am hoping to jam on this album as much as I can. I've pre-recorded and scheduled all my weekly Two Hour Track Challenge episodes for the whole month so I'm completely free to focus all my energy on making this the best it can be.
Looking forward to 2022 again, there are a few things I wanted to mention.
First, I intend to slow down the release rate of the monthly sample packs. I believe I've mentioned this before, but I want to reinforce that plan. Mostly, I just have no idea what to do any more when it comes to new sounds. When I have the inspiration, I'll make one.
Second, I want to duplicate my efforts and try to build a similar membership on Gumroad. I'm a big fan of Patreon and you all have been really kind to me for the past 5 years, but I have a large audience of creators on Gumroad that I can also share the weekly songs with.
To be clear, nothing is changing on Patreon, just doing the same thing over on Gumroad too to see if there is an audience.
I guess right now it's just those two things. I keep looking back to my 2021 planning post to see if I'm missing anything, but aside from finishing the eBook (which I'm working on when I can), I've accomplished all my goals this year. That's a nice feeling.
