Hey all! It's the end of the dang year already. How did that happen?
I do not have much planned this month, honestly. We are renovating our kitchen starting tomorrow, the studio is packed with random boxes. I will continue to do the Two Hour Track Challenges, of course.
I'm also hoping to get some version of Pawndemonium out there. I've been stalling on the game because I've run into a few roadblocks and I feel like I just need to get it released and if people vibe with it, I can keep working on it. I especially do not want to spend a bunch of time working on something that doesn't resonate with people.
I keep forgetting that I'm still fairly new to game development, especially the process of finishing and releasing games. I feel it'll be better for me to just hammer out a few game ideas to get comfortable with that final 10% of game development where you gotta wrap everything up.
Same issue pops up with music production, but I'm way more familiar with that process at this point.
After I put out Pawndemonium, I'll see what people think and determine whether it's worth continuing work on it, or putting it on Steam. It's fine if that doesn't pan out. I learned a lot and it's time to move on.
I have a few game ideas I want to try. I can keep working on Hyperthread and I have a new idea I might mess with during the January OST Jam.
I also need to keep working on Let the World Forget Us. I'm very pleased with this album so far, but I need a mental break from it for a few weeks before diving back in and REALLY finishing it up. Hoping that I'll get a full release of it out there by February.
Aside from that, it's mostly planning for next year and trying to survive this kitchen remodel. It'll be great, but essentially it'll in various stages of completed from from December 6th to the 23rd.
