Oh man, last month was pretty rough. The heat finally broke and things got cooler and more humid over here and ALL the plants decided to bloom at the same time. Had some of the worst allergies of my life last month.
Thankfully, things have settled down and I am getting back into the swing of things.
First, I'm super proud of the past few weeks of Two Hour Track Challenges. I've decided to lean into the chill and downtempo stuff a bit more and I'm very happy with how things have turned out.
On Friday the community released a remix album called Tales from the Aftermath, which was a bunch of fun. Lots of amazing entries in there to check out if you needed some new music to listen to.
Saturday we did a stream where we ranked Two Hour Track Challenge songs 301-350. That video just went live on YouTube if you wanted to check it out.
My big goal this month is to finish up the short album Infinity Loop. I've been having a bit of a crisis with it the past few months. It's at that liminal point where it *could* be done, but it's definitely not where I envisioned it would be. I need to rip apart a few of the songs and clean them up.
Other than that, I have a few other smaller projects that I've been working on. Trying to keep on top of stuff has been very tough so I have catchup to do in a lot of places. A few small collaborations that I'm working on and I want to prep Season 15 for distribution soon too.
October is going to be a busy month. Aside from the Two Hour Album Challenge hitting volume 20(!), I want to start a new initiative where instead of doing a game jam with the music we create an asset pack of songs. I need to build that page and update a few other things before the time comes.
I also am planning on doing two Two Hour Track Challenge streams in October so I have the full month of November free to do the NaSoAlMo challenge again. I know I still haven't really technically finished last year's challenge, but it's on my list. I really need to be in the right mindset for that album and lately that isn't it. Might be a Winter project to wrap that up.
