OK, if you've been following my prior posts, our lovely kitty Lady suddenly passed away last week. I won't get into details or my feelings on that here since I've done plenty of that elsewhere, but it's been a rocky time. I'm doing OK, or at least I'm OK with not being OK, if that makes sense. The picture above was one of the last ones we got of her before she passed and she just seems so peaceful. 💖
April was a big month though. I've been powering through so many projects!
Quiet Spaces Vol 3 was released exclusive to Patreon subscribers. If you haven't had a chance to give it a listen, I highly recommend it.
The "remastered" release of Journey Without; Journey Within went live on distribution today! This was my first Patreon-exclusive album and after 5 years I figured it was time to send it out into the world.
Season 17 of the Two Hour Track Challenge was sent off to distribution yesterday for a June release. Glad to have that one off my plate.
Next big project is finishing my NaSoAlMo 2021 album Let the World Forget Us. I am super excited to get back on this project and get it done. I absolutely love what is there so far. That album is planned to be released in July 🤞
The Discord community is also starting the remix challenge today! We voted on a song and I'm going to be getting that whole project rolling right after I'm done posting this. I always love these community albums and it'll be great to see what people come up with.
Not much progress on the game development front. I've been burned out on Raise the Dead, partially because of the absolute crushing deluge of music I've needed to focus on. I know I'll get my mojo back soon and when I do I can finish that one up.
(I have another game idea I want to do too that I'm really excited about, but I really don't want to juggle multiple games so it's another good reason to finish Raise the Dead)
I think that's the bulk of it! It's been a busy month, but very rewarding. Always nice to see actual progress on things getting released out into the world.
Off to donate some money to the kitties. Thanks again for all your support!
