Hey everyone! Hard to believe we're in November already. Things have been immensely hectic the past few weeks but ultimately satisfying to see it all come together.
I mentioned in a prior post that Cozy was just about done. I'm hopeful that I'll be able to get that posted to distribution tomorrow and that will be the OFFICIAL final release of 2023! At the start of the year I set myself an intense (and, honestly, far too grueling) release schedule and I'm proud that I hit all my targets: 9 Abstraction albums released, 5 community albums released.
It was definitely "I wonder if I can do this" kind of challenges. I know that I can do that now, and I also know that I never want to go that hard on a release schedule ever again. It was too much.
November is National Solo Album Month and I'm working on a small set of ambient and atmospheric songs that I've been enjoying quite a bit. Not sure where this will go ultimately, but it's been nice to work on something different. So far, the album is tentatively named Fogbound.
I'm trying to take this month's challenge very casually. My wife has art shows every weekend throughout November and I want to be sure I can support her on that front. Most likely, this album will get a release on Patreon at the end of November and a full distro release in February or something.
I am working on a pretty comprehensive writeup for how the Patreon will look in a post-Two Hour Track Challenge world. For the most part, things will stay the same, but I want to make things clear for when that changes happens in February. Look for that in a week or so? Of course, I'm always open to feedback on these changes to make sure it works for everyone.
Thanks, as always, for your support. It means the world to me. I'm off to donate for some kitties!
