DESCRIPTION

Wow, January was a MONTH. In the past 30 days...

Was in the ER January 1st at 1am because my wife had kidney stone

Wife had medical procedure to remove stone (she recovered and is doing great)

Two Hour Track Challenge ended after 8 years of work

Started learning how to make music on a more flexible schedule (it's hard!)

Hosted and helped manage the Two Hour Album Challenge. We released a 47 track album inspired by the word "Life"

Dealing with a bunch of random ContentID claims on my YouTube channel

Rebuilt my music itch.io page to better handle my free loops (and made them public domain!)

Week-long "vacation" across the country to a massive gem show to help my wife restock her jewelry business

Released Fogbound on all services, continued to work on Season 20's release next month

Here's hoping that February gives us a little break; currently, my plans are more light.

First, I need to finish up Season 20 for a release in March. Then I can fix up Autoplagiarism, Side A for a public release in April.

With those out of the way, I can start working on the Patreon-exclusive album Quiet Spaces Vol 4. I listened to the first three volumes a lot on the plane, they worked great. I'm planning to release that on Patreon around April time as well, so there is some time.

My big task today is rebuilding the Patreon rewards based off what I talked about a few weeks ago. Generally, this ends up as a better deal for everyone, so it shouldn't cause too many problems.

Finally, I want to genuinely start working on what I'll be making on stream every week for Patreon. I was thinking about an EP called 128 that is all upbeat electronic music at 128 BPM (I started an idea for the title track last night that I'm pretty pleased with). Goal is to get 5 or more songs done by the end of March for a May release.

I also want to work on how I host and share files because I've gotten a handful of people subscribing, downloading everything, and then canceling their subscription, which is a bit frustrating. I also want the new file system to be searchable so you can put in a mood or a tempo range and it'll show what songs match that. That'll probably be a March/April thing though once it all calms down a bit.

OK, off to donate for the kitties and then rebuild my Patreon page! Have a great month 🥳
