Chapter 251: Lilith's New Request

After arriving in Jennifer's room, Jennifer quickly switched to Lilith.

"Little Master, I have a new request for you!"

Having been called "master" so many times, Roy had already gotten somewhat used to it.

"What is it?"

"I need a new body."

Roy looked at Lilith strangely.

"What's up? Aren't you going to find your daughter and get your own body back?"

Roy didn't know that Lilith had already found her daughter, and that her body had been fused with Ophélina's and couldn't be retrieved.

"It's precisely because I want to get my own body back that I need a temporary body to look for Ophélina. It'll be much easier to move around that way. Otherwise, if she keeps hiding from me, won't I never find her?"

Lilith told a lie.

Roy didn't know why Lilith was suddenly in such a hurry, but being able to get Lilith out of Jennifer's body was a good thing.

"So, what are you planning to do?"

"I need to find someone to make a body that can contain my soul!"

Make?

This word surprised Roy a bit.

"Aren't you going to find a new host to possess?"

A charming smile appeared on Lilith's face.

"Possessing someone again might not necessarily lead to finding a body more suitable than Jennifer's. It would be better to custom-make a body that's perfect for me."

Thinking about it that way, it didn't seem wrong. The problem was how to make a new body.

"Do you have a way to make a new body?"

"That's exactly the problem! I know several ways to create bodies, but those are all from my time. I don't know if anyone has passed down those skills."

Hearing this, Roy already understood what Lilith meant.

"You want me to help you find the inheritors of these skills?"

"Yes, I think Little Master will definitely have a way!"

Lilith started rubbing against Roy.

"Alright, stop that! I'll help you think of something!"

If she kept rubbing, things were going to get out of hand. Roy wasn't exactly a man of unwavering willpower.

"I knew Little Master was the best!"

Lilith hugged Roy and even wanted to give him a kiss, but Roy pinched her "water balloon" and stopped her.

"Hehe! You think you can get rid of me with just a few words? You haven't told me your reward yet!"

Lilith's cheeks flushed red, and then she whispered something in Roy's ear, instantly shocking him.

Could things really be played like that?

"Little Master, are you satisfied now?"

"So-so! Tell me about what kind of skills there are. I'll see if I can find them."

The best way, of course, would be human transmutation, using alchemy to create a perfect body out of thin air. If there were suitable materials, it might even be possible to create a one-to-one copy of Lilith's body, similar to cloning.

Speaking of which, the black technology in this world is so advanced that maybe they could really clone Lilith's original body.

Unfortunately, Roy didn't have such technology, and he didn't trust the companies that might have it, like Armacham.

But alchemy had long been lost in this world, at least Emma hadn't found any related courses in the Witch Union.

Oh yeah, since Emma was going to stay at the witch school, Roy simply bought her a cell phone to make it easier to contact her.

Little Emma would occasionally text Roy to complain, and some of it was about schoolwork. Roy could also learn about the recent happenings at the witch school through these texts.

Besides that, the three little witches from the Apocalypse would also often send harassing messages, practically treating Roy like an emotional radio station.

Especially Madison, that girl sent several times more harassing messages than the other two, and she would also often send random selfies to his email.

It was really too much! If you've got the guts, don't just send pictures!

Ahem!

If alchemy wasn't an option, he could only try other methods, such as the Celtic Druid order, which possessed a way to shape elemental bodies, but this order had always preferred to live in seclusion, and no one knew if the tradition had been passed down.

Also, the witches had some special ways to create bodies, which Roy needed to inquire about with the Witch Union.

The worst method would naturally be the voodoo stitched corpse, sewing together the best parts of various corpses to forcibly create a body.

However, this kind of stitched corpse was extremely unstable, and since it was an undead creature, it came with a lot of trouble.

For example, it would easily rot, it would smell bad, and it could easily be burned to a crisp by a passing angel with holy fire.

Therefore, Lilith would rather continue to stay in Jennifer's body than use a stitched corpse as her new body.

"Alright then, I happen to need to contact the Witch Union anyway, so I'll ask about it for you."

Roy did indeed need to contact the Witch Union, but it was the three little witches from the Apocalypse. After all, they had finally found Carrie's whereabouts, and he definitely had to tell them.

"Roy, are you serious?"

It was Madison who spoke. This girl had always been the spokesperson for the Apocalypse. Maria preferred to come up with mischievous ideas on the side, while Zoe would pull them back when they strayed too far off track.

"Pretty darn sure! I'm getting ready to head to Maine right now."

Some strange noises came from the other end of the phone, as if the three witches were too excited, causing some bumping around.

"Roy, we want to go find Carrie too!"

It was Zoe who spoke, this girl rarely took the initiative.

"Yeah, Carrie saved us last time, now it's our turn to save Carrie!"

Maria chimed in, the three girls surprisingly in agreement.

Perhaps this was pure friendship.

"This—can you guys even get out?"

Bringing the three witches along wasn't a big deal. After all, besides Zoe's somewhat weak abilities, Madison and Maria were quite strong.

They would likely face a large number of cultists in New Centralia, and having a few helpers would be good for support.

The problem was that little witches couldn't leave the witch school before graduating. This school sometimes felt quite like a prison, and the little witches were like imprisoned inmates.

"Roy, I'm going to convince Teacher Mortel right now. If it really doesn't work, we'll just sneak out!"

Madison's plan made Roy's face darken. Doing it that way would definitely cause more trouble.

"Stop! Don't even think about it! If you dare to sneak out, don't ever see me again!"

This was practically the biggest punishment for the three little witches of the Apocalypse. Their mouths instantly drooped.

Zoe's helpless voice came from the phone.

"Roy, then what else can we do?"

Roy pondered for a moment and made a decision.

"Let me call Ms. Snow and talk to her. Maybe I can get her to allow you to participate in this operation."

Upon hearing this, Madison on the other end of the phone sounded very excited.

"Really? Roy, you're the best! MWAH! MWAH! MWAH!"

"Damn it! It's my turn, Madison! MWAH!"

"Me too! Me too! MWAH! MWAH!"

For a moment, there was a constant sound of wet kisses on the phone, leaving Roy speechless.

But this was also understandable. The three witches of the Apocalypse were at that young, romantic age, their heads full of love. Not seeing Roy for a month naturally made them miss him very much.

It's just that this behavior was a bit much. Zoe and Maria weren't originally like this; Madison had led both of these well-behaved girls astray.

After hanging up the phone, Roy immediately dialed Mortel Snow's number. He had gotten her number after leaving New York.

Now, Mortel Snow was the principal of the witch school, the chairperson of the Witch Council, and was temporarily managing the Witch Union together with the federal government.

"Hello, this is Mortel Snow."

A weak, elderly female voice came from the other end of the phone. It seemed that Mortel's health hadn't improved after a month.

"Ms. Snow, this is Roy Black."

"Oh, Mr. Black, what can I do for you?"

Roy relayed the request of the three little witches from the Apocalypse, and Mortel fell silent.

"Mr. Black, this is impossible! The Witch Union cannot afford any more losses!"

"Ms. Snow, please hear me out. If you truly believe in Madison and Maria, you shouldn't keep them locked up in the witch school. Flowers in a greenhouse can't withstand the baptism of a storm. You can't protect them forever."

Mortel was silent again, clearly moved by Roy's words.

"Alright, Mr. Black, you make a very good point, but I will secretly have someone protect them. I hope you understand."

Roy certainly understood.

"I understand. I won't tell Madison and the others about the secret protection."

After hanging up, Roy then told the little witches of the Apocalypse the news.

"Awesome, Roy! We'll leave tonight!"

Roy felt like Madison was a bit too excited, probably because she had been cooped up in the witch school for too long. Roy had to pour some cold water on their enthusiasm.

"Don't mess around! You must wait for me to arrive."

"We know! We definitely won't mess around!"

Maria's rash promise made Roy feel uneasy. All he could do was rush to Maine overnight.

However, because of the plane crash, Roy had developed an aversion to flying, and with Death's gaze upon him, taking a plane might lead to another crash.

And Maine was located in the northeastern corner of America, almost diagonally opposite Texas, which meant that even if Roy drove Bumblebee day and night, it would still take a long time to reach New Centralia.

And the three little witches arrived in New Centralia that very night.

"Madison, don't you think we look a little out of place dressed like this?"

In the outskirts of New Centralia, Zoe looked at Madison with a hesitant expression.

The three of them were currently wearing black cloaks and pointed black hats, practically screaming "I'm a witch" on their faces.

"Tch! What do you know? We're dressed like this to confuse those cultists. We're so conspicuous that they'll definitely be suspicious! Besides, it's about time the Apocalypse had a uniform!"

Madison argued righteously, leaving Maria speechless.

"Burn it all down, I'm tired, hurry up." .JPG

Maria felt like she was being swayed by Madison. Going out dressed like this was really like getting kicked in the head by a donkey.

What's done is done, and Zoe didn't want to dwell on it anymore.

"What do we do next?"

Zoe looked at Madison, the idea person of the Apocalypse.

"Hmm—it's so late today, let's find a motel nearby to spend the night, and we'll start investigating tomorrow."

Zoe and Maria nodded.

Coincidentally, there was a motel nearby, and the three decided to make do for the night.

"One room, please!"

The motel owner looked at Madison strangely. He felt like the girl looked familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen her before.

Well, Madison used to be a famous child star, but she hadn't appeared in public for several years, so the owner would naturally feel like she looked familiar but couldn't quite place her.

"Three of you, just one room?"

"Uh-huh! Got a problem with that?"

The owner muttered to himself a bit. Three girls staying in one room was too weird. Could they be lesbians?

But he couldn't turn down business, so the owner still gave Madison the room key.

At this moment, Zoe hesitated for a moment and asked the owner.

"Excuse me, do you know a place called Silent Hill?"

The owner's eyes flickered, and a surprised expression appeared on his face.

"Silent Hill? What's that?"

This guy thought he was hiding it well, but the careful Zoe and Maria still noticed the problem, but she didn't say anything.

Only Madison acted like nothing was wrong, taking the key and leading Zoe and Maria to the room.

After entering the room, the cautious Maria began searching it.

"Maria, what are you doing?"

Zoe looked at Maria in surprise.

"I saw a news report before that some hotels have hidden pinhole cameras installed, and motels are the worst!"

Hearing this, Zoe was also taken aback.

"I think I saw that news report too, so we really should be careful!"

No girl likes to be secretly filmed, although Madison might be a bit different.

The three girls acted together and carefully checked the room several times. After confirming that there were no problems, they began to chat.

"Madison, I feel like there's something wrong with that motel owner!"

Zoe looked at Maria.

"You feel the same way?"

Madison looked at the two of them strangely.

"Something wrong? I didn't feel anything."

"Madison, I'm sure that when Zoe mentioned Silent Hill just now, that guy's eyes flickered!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!"

Since Maria and Zoe both said so, Madison had no choice but to believe them.

"Could it be that guy knows something and is deliberately hiding it?"

"I remember Roy mentioning that many residents of New Centralia moved from Silent Hill. Could it be that this motel owner is one of them?"

Zoe put forward a guess.

Madison recalled the motel owner's age, around forty years old. If he had moved from Silent Hill, he would have been around twenty at the time.

"It seems really possible! Zoe, Maria, shall we investigate this motel owner tonight?"

Hearing this, Zoe hesitated a bit.

"Isn't that a bit much? Roy told us not to act rashly and to wait until he arrives."

Another picture of Maria

Chapter 252: Locked In

Madison rolled her eyes at Zoe, a look of disdain on her face.

"Ugh, if you really listen to Roy so much, why did you barf last time he told you to swallow that thing?"

The moment she said that, Zoe's face turned as red as a beet.

"That's not the same thing! And it's not like I meant to throw up, Roy's just gave me way too much, I couldn't get it down!"

Maria just stared at Madison and Zoe, who were driving like maniacs, speechless.

"You two, enough! Is this really the time to be arguing about this?"

Madison and Zoe both shut their mouths, but the issue was still unresolved.

Finally, Madison thought of a solution.

"Let's take a vote! Since we're a group, we should decide this democratically! Anyone against checking out the motel owner, raise your hand!"

Only Zoe raised her hand, and she looked at Maria, surprised.

"How come even you're on board with Madison's crazy plan?"

"I just don't think we can keep relying on Roy all the time, otherwise what's the point of the Apocalypse Society?"

Well, since the vote's in, that settles it.

Later that night, the three witches started their move.

The main person for this operation was actually Zoe. After everything that happened with the Supreme Witch, she finally started taking her witchcraft studies seriously.

Actually, Zoe's got some pretty good natural talent for witchcraft, and her magical potential is off the charts. It's just that whole awkward Black Widow thing that messes with her.

Once Zoe started focusing on her witchcraft, she picked up a bunch of useful little spells in just over a month, like invisibility and hypnosis and stuff.

These little spells definitely aren't strong enough to take on other witches, but they're perfect for dealing with regular folks who don't have any special powers.

As for Madison and Maria, they were mostly just backup. They've been focusing on developing their own witch abilities lately, so they're a little rusty in other areas.

Zoe, who had gone invisible and made it to the motel front desk, noticed the owner wasn't around, and there wasn't even anyone in the back.

That was a little weird.

So Zoe started looking around near the motel, and then she spotted the owner by the side of the road.

According to the plan they'd made earlier, Zoe was supposed to hypnotize the motel owner, and then the three of them would question him together.

But seeing the motel owner looking like he was waiting for someone made Zoe change her mind. She wanted to see who he was expecting.

Pretty soon, a van pulled up to the side of the road, and three burly guys in weird gray hazmat suits got out.

(Like, picture hazmat suits)

Wearing that in this weather? Something was definitely up with those hazmat suits.

The three guys in hazmat suits nodded to the motel owner, so they obviously knew each other.

"Are those three still in their room like you said?"

"Yeah, they're still there! I've been keeping an eye on their room, and nobody's left."

Looks like Zoe got lucky. If she'd come out just a few minutes earlier, the motel owner might have seen her.

After the three guys in hazmat suits finished talking to the owner, they headed towards the motel, straight for the girls' room.

Just as Zoe was wondering if she should jump in, she saw all three guys in hazmat suits pull out guns – and not just any guns, they were shotguns.

Realizing things were about to go south, Zoe quickly gave their signal, making a frog sound.

"That's Zoe's signal, something must be going down out there!"

By now, the lights in the room were off, so Maria quietly peeked through the curtains, not worried about being seen.

Then Maria saw three people in hazmat suits with shotguns heading for their room.

"Damn it! That motel owner was definitely trouble! There are three enemies coming!"

"It's just three guys, we can take them together, no biggie!"

Madison stood behind the door, Maria watched out the window, and when the three guys in hazmat suits were right outside, Maria said.

"Go!"

Madison immediately used her telekinesis, and the room door flew off its hinges like a cannonball, totally surprising the three guys at the door.

Two of the hazmat guys went down, and the last one immediately grabbed his shotgun to shoot Madison, but just then, some invisible force snapped his arms, so he obviously couldn't pull the trigger.

That was Maria's astral projection. The second Madison opened the door, she sent her sister Alan out to help Madison.

Then Madison reached out and used her powers to slam the three hazmat guys against the wall over and over until they were knocked out cold.

Just then, the motel owner, who was a little ways off, sensed something was wrong and immediately tried to run.

But as soon as he turned around, he saw the girl who hadn't been around standing right in front of him, giving him an innocent smile.

"Sleep now..."

"How did you..."

He didn't even finish his sentence before he was out cold.

In just one minute, they had taken care of the three hazmat guys and the motel owner.

The three young witches tied up the four of them and started the interrogation.

"Are you guys witches?"

That was the first thing the three hazmat guys said when they woke up. They obviously knew something about witches.

"Hmph! Good. If you don't want to get hurt, you better tell us right now who you are and why you attacked us!"

Madison put on a sassy face, trying to intimidate the three guys in hazmat suits.

The thing is, the three young witches were either pretty or cute, and they weren't intimidating at all. The three hazmat guys weren't scared in the slightest.

"Since you dared to break in here, you better be ready to be burned to ashes by the wrath of the King of Wrath!"

These three hazmat guys were tough nuts to crack, and the young witches didn't have much experience with interrogation. They questioned them for ages without getting anywhere, which made Madison so mad she just wanted to off them.

Maria stopped Madison.

"No way! I promised Roy I wouldn't just go around killing people, and I can't let you guys do it either!"

"So what do we do then? Just let them go?"

"Or we could just leave them in the room. By the time their buddies find them, we'll be long gone."

After thinking about it, Madison agreed with Maria, and then they started questioning the motel owner.

The motel owner wasn't as tough as those hazmat guys. The young witches barely had to threaten him before he spilled the beans and told them everything.

Turns out, the motel owner really did move from Silent Hill, and not just him, but those three hazmat guys too.

Most of the people in Silent Hill belong to a cult that worships the King of Wrath, so they're really tight-knit.

After that thing that happened twenty years ago, all the people from Silent Hill moved to New Centralia, and they brought their King of Wrath cult with them.

Because of America's religious freedom thing, the King of Wrath cult started to put down roots in New Centralia. They've been guarding the secret of Silent Hill, and anyone who tries to find out about it is considered their enemy.

"So that's the deal!"

Madison looked thoughtful. If the motel owner was telling the truth, then the three of them might be up against the entire city.

"Madison, what do we do now?"

Zoe got a little freaked out after hearing what the motel owner said.

"There's nothing to be scared of! I don't believe the King of Wrath cult can completely control a city of over a hundred thousand people. We just need to keep a lower profile from now on."

The three young witches knocked the motel owner out and then dragged him into another room.

They definitely couldn't stay at this motel. The young witches needed to find somewhere else to crash.

But they were in the suburbs of New Centralia, and it was going to be a hike to get downtown. None of them were exactly the athletic type.

So, the young witches hopped in the motel owner's pickup truck and drove downtown. Thanks to Madison's deep pockets, they found a fancy hotel and checked in.

"This is supposed to be a three-star hotel? This place is so hick!"

Madison wasn't too thrilled with the hotel. She wasn't exactly a country bumpkin, and she wasn't shy about showing her disappointment with their new digs.

"Alright, Madison, let's just get some rest, or we'll never get up tomorrow!"

Maria yawned, flopping down on the comfy bed, not wanting to get up at all.

Madison couldn't resist giving Maria a playful smack on the butt.

"Dummy, it's not bedtime yet!"

Maria rolled over to look at Madison.

"What's up?"

"We should take turns standing guard so nothing sneaks up on us!"

Madison's suggestion made a lot of sense, and Zoe nodded in agreement.

"You're right! We should figure out a watch schedule."

Maria rubbed her eyes.

"Whatever you guys decide, I'm not taking the first watch. I'm way too tired!"

"Okay, how about this: I'll take the first watch, Madison can take the second, and Maria, you can take the last. Three hours each sound good?"

Madison and Maria both agreed to Zoe's plan, so they freshened up and then crashed.

You know how sometimes when you stay up late having fun, you're totally wired?

But when that same all-nighter turns into work, the same person will feel completely exhausted.

That's how Zoe felt now. Even with the TV on, she couldn't stay awake and kept yawning.

Zoe finally made it through her three hours, but when it was time to switch, she couldn't wake Madison up no matter what. That girl was out like a light.

"Madison, wake up! Seriously, wake up or I'm gonna do something!"

Zoe was so annoyed she kept smacking Madison's big butt until she finally woke up.

"Huh? Is it my turn?"

"Duh! You've been asleep for ten minutes past your shift!"

"Oh, you go back to sleep, I'll go grab a coffee."

Too bad the coffee didn't do the trick for Madison. She still dozed off on the couch, completely missing the figure lurking outside their suite.

"Madison? Madison? How did you fall asleep?"

Maria's always been pretty disciplined and wakes up on her own, so when she woke up, she realized she'd slept in, and Madison, who was supposed to wake her up, was snoozing on the couch.

Madison blinked sleepily, a spoiled girl like her didn't exactly have a lot of willpower.

"I... I fell asleep?"

"Good thing nothing happened! Madison, go get some sleep in bed. I'll take over the watch now."

By eight in the morning, Zoe and Madison were both awake. The three girls got ready to go grab some breakfast, but then they suddenly realized the front door wouldn't open.

"What the heck? Is the door broken or something?"

Zoe twisted the handle, confused, but the door wouldn't budge, like it was cemented to the wall.

"Move, let me try!"

Madison used her telekinesis directly on the door, but even her ability to move tons of stuff couldn't make it budge.

"Something's not right!"

Maria used her powers too, but even her sister Erika's attacks couldn't break the door, it didn't even feel like it was hit.

"How is that even possible?"

The three young witches just stared at each other, clueless about what was going on.

"Hey, maybe we should try calling the front desk?"

Even though she knew it probably wouldn't work with everything being so weird, Zoe still wanted to try calling.

And just like they thought, neither the hotel phone nor their cell phones had any signal.

Plus, when Madison tried to open a window to get out, she found that the windows were just like the door, completely sealed shut, and no matter how hard she tried, they wouldn't budge.

Even though the three young witches could still see the traffic outside their windows, their room felt completely cut off from the rest of the world.

"Damn it! Someone must have put a spell on this room while we were sleeping last night!"

After ruling out everything else, Zoe figured that had to be it.

"So you think those cult people found us as soon as we got to the hotel last night? And they figured we were too tough to fight head-on, so they just trapped us like this?"

Madison's face fell when she thought about that.

Even though there's usually some bottled water or snacks in a three-star hotel room, it definitely wouldn't last the three young witches very long.

And to make things even worse, since their phones had no signal, the three young witches couldn't contact anyone outside. They had no way to let anyone know they were trapped in the room.

That's when Maria started laying into Madison.

"Madison, you've got some nerve! If you hadn't been sleeping on the job last night, we wouldn't be in this mess!"

"That's bull! Even if I was dozing, I'm sure nobody came in here. So those guys did the spell from outside, it has nothing to do with me dozing off!"

Madison tried to defend herself, but Maria kept blaming her.

"Even if they were outside, if you hadn't been asleep, you would have at least heard something, right? How could you have slept through all this?"

The two of them started arguing louder and louder, giving Zoe a major headache.

"Will you two stop fighting! Is this really the time to be arguing? Let's try to figure out a way out of this!"

Zoe managed to break up the fight, and Madison and Maria just turned away from each other and huffed.

Coming up with a solution wasn't going to be easy. This magic was way beyond what the three young witches knew. All they could do was hope Roy would find them before they starved.

So, where's Roy at now?

Chapter 253: From Stubborn to Stuck at Both Ends

Roy had been driving for almost a full day and night, barely stopping. Bumblebee's tires were practically worn down to the nubs by the time he reached New Hampshire.

It was right next to Maine, and he figured he had just a few more hours of driving to reach his destination, New Centralia.

Roy had come alone this time, not bringing anyone else with him.

After driving for so long, Roy's back felt stiff as a board, so when he passed a gas station, he decided to pull over and take a break.

He was also worried about driving his trusty Bumblebee to an early grave, and he needed to grab some grub to fill his stomach.

This gas station also had a convenience store. Late at night, the store was pretty empty, with only a mother and daughter eating, probably on a road trip just like Roy.

Roy didn't pay much attention to the mother and daughter. After buying a few sandwiches and drinks, he started to chow down.

Just then, a blonde female cop walked in. She glanced at the mother and daughter, then at Roy, and then walked over to him.

(Blonde female cop played by Laurie Holden)

"Is that white SUV out there yours?"

Roy looked at the female cop strangely, wondering why she was asking, but he answered anyway.

Cops in America can be a bit of a hassle. Say the wrong thing, and they might just empty their magazine on you. Luckily for Roy, his skin color was the right one, so the blonde cop spoke to him politely.

"No, that yellow Chevrolet Camaro is mine."

The blonde cop then looked at the mother and daughter. It was obvious the white SUV was theirs.

So, the blonde cop went over to the mother and daughter to ask them questions. The little girl seemed fine, but her mother looked visibly nervous.

Wait a minute, why does that little girl look so familiar?

Roy, who was in the middle of munching on a sandwich, paused. It wasn't that he was interested in the little girl; she just genuinely looked familiar.

Isn't that the little girl from the "Silent Hill" movie? I think her name was Sharon!

As one of the few video game adaptations that didn't completely bomb, Roy had watched both the first and second "Silent Hill" movies.

The first one had quite a few changes, turning the game's warrior father into a mother and weakening the protagonist's fighting ability, but overall, it was still pretty good.

So, this blonde cop must be the police officer character from the movie, right?

What a coincidence! He just happened to run into the main characters of the movie. Could he possibly follow the mother and daughter into Silent Hill?

Roy started to observe Sharon and her mother's situation without making a fuss.

The blonde cop started questioning Sharon's mother.

"Ma'am, can I see your driver's license?"

Perhaps Sharon's mother was acting a bit unusual, which aroused the blonde cop's suspicion. She put her hand on her holster and asked for the woman's license.

Sharon's mother rummaged through her bag and pulled out a driver's license for the blonde cop.

The blonde cop looked at it and then started talking into her radio.

"Dispatch, this is Cybil Bennett, badge number XXX... Can you run a check on Rose Da Silva, driver's license number XXX..."

"Roger that... This person is clear."

Hearing this, the blonde cop took her hand off her holster.

"Ms. Da Silva, I noticed some collision marks on your white SUV. Were you recently in a car accident?"

So, that was the reason the blonde cop came in to ask questions.

Rose breathed a slight sigh of relief. She had actually taken her daughter out this time without telling her husband, worried that he would use official channels to stop her, which was why she had seemed a bit nervous just now.

Luckily, the blonde cop hadn't approached her for that reason.

Gathering her thoughts, Rose came up with an excuse to deal with Cybil.

"Uh—I was a little tired while driving just now, so I scraped against the guardrail."

"I see! Ms. Da Silva, driving while fatigued is very dangerous. You should probably rest before getting back on the road."

Cybil didn't think much of it. This mother and daughter seemed harmless enough.

Otherwise, why would the blonde cop have asked Roy first?

Although Roy was definitely handsome, the burly young man also looked more threatening.

Just then, Cybil's radio crackled to life.

"Emergency! A prisoner transport vehicle has lost contact on the highway bordering New Hampshire and Maine. Any nearby officers, please proceed to investigate."

Cybil responded to her radio.

"Cybil Bennett received, en route to investigate."

The blonde cop left the convenience store, got on her motorcycle, and drove away, which made Rose feel a great sense of relief.

"Mommy, when are we going to get to that place you told me about?"

The adorable Sharon hadn't said a word until Cybil left, then suddenly spoke.

"Soon, honey, just a few more hours. If you're tired, you can take a nap, and we'll be there when you wake up."

"Okay!"

Rose bought another cup of coffee at the convenience store and then took her daughter back to the car.

Quickly shoving the rest of his sandwich down, Roy followed them.

"Bumblebee, follow that car in front, but don't get too close!"

"Understood, Mr. Black."

After turning on autopilot, Roy took out his phone and started calling the three little witches from the Apocalypse.

But the phone rang for a long time without anyone answering, which Roy found very strange.

"Weird, did they forget their phones?"

He redialed Madison's phone number, and this time it finally went through.

But Roy heard a piercing static sound coming from the phone.

What's going on? Was Madison holding the phone while standing next to an electronic jammer?

"Hey, Madison, what's going on over there? Why is there so much static?"

"Roy... help... us... trapped... in... the hotel... zzzzz..."

Madison said a few disjointed, incomprehensible words, and then the phone automatically hung up.

Although Roy didn't know exactly what had happened to the Apocalypse, he was sure it wasn't good.

So, Roy quickly dialed Mortel Snow's number again.

"Ms. Snow, it seems like something happened to Madison and the others. Have the people you sent to watch them found anything?"

Mortel on the other end of the phone was clearly taken aback.

"No way. I received a message saying that the three of them went into a hotel and haven't come out since. They're being very well-behaved and waiting for you to arrive. How could something suddenly happen?"

Roy's face darkened. Did the word "well-behaved" have anything to do with Madison and Maria? The reason he agreed to let Mortel send people to watch the three little witches was because he knew they would definitely stir up trouble, to prevent any accidents from happening to them before he arrived.

But it seemed like an accident had already occurred.

"Ms. Snow, you'd better have your people check it out. I think something might have already happened!"

Mortel was silent for a moment before answering Roy.

"Mr. Black, I'll call and check right away. Please wait for my call back."

The phone hung up, and Roy frowned at the dark road ahead, his mind racing about what might have happened to Madison and the others.

If he went by the fighting abilities shown in the "Silent Hill" movie, besides Alessa, no one should be able to threaten Madison, Zoe, and Maria.

But if it was the "Silent Hill" from the games, then the worldview was much more terrifying, and combining it with this world's worldview would be even scarier.

Just as he was thinking, Roy suddenly noticed the white SUV in front seemed to be speeding up.

"Bumblebee, what's going on?"

"Based on my analysis, there's a 97% probability that the vehicle in front has noticed we're following them and is speeding up to escape."

Roy's face darkened. Did Bumblebee really need to state the obvious?

There was only one road. He had been following the car for so long. Even Rose wouldn't be dumb enough not to notice something was wrong, right?

After all, in the middle of the night, a burly young man following a mother and daughter could easily be the plot of a two-hour action romance movie in Japan.

"I'm asking, how did she spot you?"

"Apologies, Mr. Black! The terrain in this mountainous area is too complex. If the following distance is too far, there's a possibility of losing the target."

Bumblebee's judgment wasn't entirely wrong. Since things had already come to this, Roy could only continue following the car and hope for the best.

The SUV in front was getting faster and faster, eager to shake off the Chevrolet Camaro behind it.

But even a fool could figure out that an SUV couldn't outrun a muscle car.

However, at this moment, an accident still occurred.

A police checkpoint suddenly appeared ahead, and the person manning the checkpoint was none other than the blonde female cop, Cybil, from before.

It turned out that, without realizing it, Rose and Roy had already crossed from New Hampshire to the edge of Maine.

And Cybil had set up the checkpoint here because there had been a landslide ahead, causing an accident with a prisoner transport vehicle, making the road conditions very dangerous.

This place was actually very close to New Centralia, but because there were no road signs to confirm the location, Roy hadn't realized it yet.

Rose quickly stopped her car and asked Cybil for help.

"Officer, it's me! That yellow sports car behind me has been following me. I'm really scared!"

"Is that so?"

Cybil immediately put her hand on her holster and stopped Roy's car, looking like she was ready for a quick-draw showdown.

"Stop! Put your hands where I can see them! Then get out of the car right now! What do you think you're doing?"

Roy looked at Cybil speechlessly.

"Didn't you just tell me to get out of the car? If I'm going to get out, I obviously have to open the car door!"

"Put your hands where I can see them right now!"

Cybil had already nervously drawn her gun and was aiming it at Roy.

This made Roy roll his eyes. America really liked giving these kinds of self-contradictory commands.

If he had to put his hands where the police could see them, Roy couldn't open the door.

But if he wanted to open the door, Roy's hand would have to reach for the door handle, and Cybil might think Roy was going for a gun.

This was a typical case of being stuck between a rock and a hard place, and plenty of unlucky folks had been mistakenly shot by the police for this very reason.

But there was no other way. With America's high gun ownership rate, the police couldn't determine if a suspect was carrying a weapon. If they made the wrong bet, their own lives would be over.

It wasn't worth risking their lives for such a small salary. Since that was the case, ordinary citizens could only suffer a bit.

"Officer, I'm on your side, you've got the wrong idea!"

Cybil snorted coldly.

"Don't think just because you're a little handsome you can impersonate a public official. That's a felony! Now, get out of the car right now!"

Just as Roy was helplessly arguing with Cybil, Rose in the white SUV saw her sleeping daughter Sharon start having a nightmare again, constantly muttering a word.

"Silent Hill... Silent Hill..."

This made Rose's heart ache.

Actually, Sharon wasn't Rose's biological daughter. She couldn't have children, so she and her husband had adopted a daughter, who was Sharon.

Rose had always treated Sharon like her own daughter, and seeing Sharon like this naturally made her feel like her heart was being torn apart.

At this moment, Rose noticed some drawing books next to Sharon, filled with the little girl's usual doodles.

Rose picked up the drawing book and looked through it, finding that most of the drawings looked eerie and disturbing, sending chills down her spine.

The only normal drawing was a family portrait of the Da Silvas, with Rose and her husband Harry Da Silva holding Sharon's hands, the three of them standing in front of their house, smiling happily.

This was perhaps the true reflection of Sharon's heart, rather than the messy drawings made under the influence of some force.

Rose stroked Sharon's face, seeming to have made up her mind, her eyes becoming incredibly firm.

"Sharon, Mommy will definitely make you better!"

After saying this, Rose stepped on the gas and drove off again.

This change attracted Cybil's attention, and she took a few quick steps forward, wanting to call out to Rose.

"Come back! There's a landslide ahead, it's dangerous!"

Unfortunately, Rose's car had already driven far away and she couldn't hear Cybil's words at all.

Roy was also getting anxious. He couldn't let Rose get away.

"Bumblebee!"

"Roger, Mr. Black!"

Bumblebee started instantly, going from a complete stop to 60 mph in the blink of an eye, brushing past Cybil.

This situation made Cybil very angry. She raised her gun, wanting to shoot Bumblebee's tires, but ultimately felt it was too dangerous.

After all, Bumblebee's starting speed was so fast that if a tire blew, it could easily cause the car to roll over, and if they were unlucky, it could flip over the safety barrier.

Helplessly, Cybil put away her gun, running towards her motorcycle while talking into her radio to report to dispatch.

"This is Cybil Bennett, badge number XXX... I've arrived at the location of the prisoner transport vehicle. There's been a landslide! I've placed roadblocks here, but two vehicles have already gone through! I'm following them."

"Roger that, Officer Bennett. Rescue is en route. Please prioritize your own safety and do not take unnecessary risks."

The police in America prioritize their own safety over the safety of citizens, which is why many outrageous things happen.

However, Cybil was clearly a police officer with a sense of justice. She didn't want anything to happen to Rose and her daughter, so she ignored dispatch's orders and sped up to catch up with the yellow Chevrolet Camaro and the white SUV.

Rose and Sharon

Chapter 254: Roy Will Come Save Me, Right?

In a lavish church in New Centralia, a group of devout believers held candles and knelt before a statue, reciting hymns even in the dead of night.

Strangely, the statue was a very peculiar-looking cross, appearing to be a large cross pieced together from four smaller ones.

(Movie Screenshot)

Beside the group of reverent worshippers, a woman in a long purple dress stood out.

This woman looked to be around fifty years old, dressed ornately with an extraordinary air about her, clearly not an ordinary person.

The woman in purple watched the devoted believers with the eyes of a shepherd looking at her lambs, her face devoid of any obvious emotion.

After a while, a person in protective gear approached and bowed to the woman in purple.

"Your Eminence, the people watching the Mason family say that Rose Mason has already taken the Holy Maiden to Silent Hill and should be arriving at their destination soon."

Hearing this, the woman in purple revealed a faint smile.

"Just as I expected, my daughter couldn't resist after all! Perfect, then let her witness what true despair really is!"

After chuckling for a moment, the woman in purple turned to her subordinate.

"Go make arrangements and have the people in Silent Hill prepare. Tell them the day the Kingdom of God descends is not far off!"

"Yes, Your Eminence!"

The person in protective gear was about to turn and leave when the woman in purple suddenly called out to them again.

"What's the situation with Leonard Wolf (from Silent Hill 3) lately?"

The person in protective gear hesitated for a moment before answering the woman in purple.

"Bishop Sullivan seems to have been injured recently and has been recuperating. It doesn't seem like he's been doing much."

"Oh? He got injured? What did he do this time?"

The woman in purple fell into thought, and after a moment, noticing that the person in protective gear was still standing there, she waved her hand to dismiss them.

"Go do your work."

The person in protective gear bowed and left, leaving the woman in purple to mutter to herself.

"This time, no one will stop me from bringing the Kingdom of God down! But just to be safe, I better prepare a backup plan."

With that, the woman in purple left the church's sanctuary and entered her office, opening a door that led to another church. However, this church was shrouded in a hazy gray, as if the smog was extremely heavy.

After entering this church, the woman in purple went down to the basement, where there was a lavishly decorated cell.

Inside this luxurious cell were three women.

"Misty, haven't you thought it through yet?"

That's right, the three women imprisoned here were Misty, Wendy, and Carrie.

At this moment, all three witches looked weak and frail, as if they hadn't eaten for days.

However, for witches, simply not eating wouldn't cause them to look like this, so there must be a deeper reason for their current condition.

"Dahlia Gillespie, I truly regret saving you back then!"

The woman in purple shared the same first name as another Dahlia, so from now on, we'll mainly refer to her by her last name.

Misty gritted her teeth as she looked at the woman in purple. Swamp witches are generally kind-hearted, so for her to show such an expression, she must have suffered a great loss.

This story begins after Misty resurrected Wendy.

At that time, Ophélia, who was still parasitizing the Supreme Witch's body, was investigating the disappearances. After learning from Myrtle that Wendy had been resurrected, she set her sights on Misty, who was capable of bringing Wendy back to life.

In those days, Roy was dealing with the Reaper's Curse and the World Qualification Tournament, while Ophélia was hunting down Misty and Wendy around Boston.

Misty had hardly any combat abilities; all her magic was healing-based, so she was no match for Ophélia at all.

Fortunately, Wendy was very skilled in illusions. While her illusion skills couldn't compare to Elizabeth's or Lilith's, they were still among the best in the world.

By repeatedly using illusions to deceive Ophélia, they managed to escape, but both of them sustained injuries to varying degrees.

After that came the great upheaval at the witch school, where Ophélia was exposed by the little witch from the Apocalypse Society.

During that battle, the forest Carrie fled into happened to be where Misty and Wendy were hiding. The kind-hearted Misty had Wendy rescue the heavily injured Carrie.

Given the increasingly complex situation in Boston and Carrie's severe injuries, Misty proposed heading north into Maine. She knew that after the Salem witch trials, a group of witches had fled to Maine and established a sect.

This group of witches had always remained outside the Witch Council's jurisdiction and control. However, Misty had once saved the life of someone in this group, so she believed the Maine witches would take them in.

However, to Misty's surprise, some people don't necessarily repay kindness.

Of course, if it were someone like Ding Hai (a character known for not reciprocating kindness), you'd probably rather they didn't.

Upon arriving in New Centralia, Maine, Gillespie initially treated Misty and her companions very politely, providing them with food, herbs, and a place to stay.

But when Gillespie accidentally discovered the injured Carrie, the situation changed.

Carrie carried the bloodline of Samael, which in the Church of the King of Wrath would definitely qualify her as a Holy Maiden!

Coincidentally, the Order that Gillespie belonged to outwardly worshipped a holy woman with orange hair and wearing red robes (one of the sect's founders, a witch burned at the stake during the Salem witch trials).

In reality, this sect had long been infiltrated by the King of Wrath, and its core members had become a cult worshipping him.

This included Dahlia Gillespie and Leonard Wolf, the bishop of another faction.

The great fire twenty years ago was caused by Gillespie's attempt to sacrifice her own daughter, Alessa, to bring about the King of Wrath's kingdom, but this perfect plan was thwarted by a certain truck driver (the plot of the game Silent Hill: Origins).

Well, looking at it this way, America's truck drivers are quite talented. A certain famous director was also a truck driver.

Although the sacrifice failed, a portion of Samael's divine power still successfully descended into the human world. This power was divided into two parts, one in Gillespie and the other in Alessa.

After gaining this power, Alessa immediately separated a part of the world, creating a Silent Hill that existed in another dimension, hiding within it to escape her mother's pursuit.

Gillespie naturally wouldn't let Alessa get away. She tried to use the portion of Samael's divine power within her to compete with Alessa for control of the otherworld Silent Hill, but she ultimately failed.

Thus, a special Silent Hill world was born, sometimes always filled with thick fog and ashes (the surface world), and sometimes pitch black with monsters everywhere (the otherworld).

In reality, there are three Silent Hills: the surface world, the otherworld, and the normal world.

The surface world is currently controlled by Gillespie, while the otherworld is in Alessa's grasp.

(This worldview is a combination of the game and movie versions. The movie version is too simple, and the game version is too complex, so I've combined them.)

Samael's divine power couldn't heal Alessa's body, which was burned by fire, because Samael is the King of Wrath, not the King of Healing. However, this power allowed Alessa to remain immortal, although this immortality came with unbearable pain.

After all, Alessa was sacrificed by Gillespie using fire, and her entire body suffered severe burns, with even her internal organs severely affected.

It could be said that every second of her life was filled with immense pain. In this situation, Alessa's heart was quickly consumed by darkness and anger, and she longed for revenge against her mother, Gillespie.

Thus, Alessa began a revenge plan, and this plan was related to Rose's daughter, Sharon.

Coincidentally, Gillespie wanted to take back the other half of Samael's divine power from her daughter Alessa, so she allowed Alessa's actions to proceed.

As for Carrie and the other two, it was purely coincidental.

Because Gillespie wasn't entirely certain that she could handle her daughter Alessa, and Carrie's appearance was like an insurance policy.

Even if Gillespie couldn't deal with Alessa later, she could use Carrie to turn the tables.

However, to achieve this, Carrie's cooperation would be necessary.

Unfortunately, Carrie's senses were very sharp. Although she couldn't read minds like Nan (the little chubby girl in the coven), she could sense when others harbored malicious intent.

Gillespie appeared kind and amiable on the surface, but in reality, she was very wicked, which Carrie sensed.

Carrie told Misty and Wendy about this. The two initially didn't believe her and even wanted to test Gillespie, but their attempt ended in disaster.

After Gillespie realized what the three witches were thinking, she decisively plotted to imprison them.

And that's how things ended up like this.

Misty supported her weak body and angrily rushed towards the iron bars, only to be thrown back by an invisible red energy.

"Gillespie, you bitch! We'll never let your plan succeed!"

Gillespie looked at Misty expressionlessly. Being called a bitch to her face, how could she not be angry? But her years in a high position had taught her to control her emotions.

"You'll change your minds soon enough."

With that, Gillespie left the underground cell.

After Gillespie left, Misty instantly became dejected.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault that everyone got into this situation."

Wendy shook her head.

"Don't say that, Misty! If you hadn't brought Carrie here, she might not have survived."

Carrie in the corner hugged her legs. Her skin was as delicate as solidified cream, thanks to Misty using her healing magic to help her burned skin grow back.

However, while her skin could grow back quickly, her hair couldn't.

So Carrie had a buzz cut, and if you didn't look at her impressive headlights, you'd definitely think she was a boy.

Carrie didn't speak. She wasn't the type to talk much anyway and was currently lost in her own world.

Roy will come save me, right?

After a while, several burly men in protective gear appeared with various torture instruments. Clearly, Gillespie was prepared to use force to make the three witches submit.

Soon, the painful cries of the three witches echoed from the underground cell.

The scene shifts to Roy's side.

Just as the blonde policewoman Cybil Bennett had said, the road ahead had multiple landslides, causing most of the road surface to be covered in mud and rocks.

Fortunately, Roy had Bumblebee on autopilot. Bumblebee could automatically sense the surrounding environment and choose the optimal driving route.

But Rose wasn't so lucky. Her driving skills were mediocre to begin with, and facing such extreme road conditions, she basically scraped her way through, moving very slowly.

It was just that the road was too narrow for Roy to overtake her, otherwise, he would have intercepted Rose long ago.

This kind of road surface was quite suitable for motorcycles, so Cybil was following very closely, constantly warning Roy and Rose to stop immediately.

Just as the three of them were in a stalemate, Roy received a phone call.

"Hello, this is Roy Black."

"Mr. Black, it's me, Myrtle Snow."

Since Myrtle was calling, it meant there was news from Madison's side.

"Ms. Snow, what's the situation?"

Myrtle clearly sighed on the other end.

"Mr. Black, you were right. Madison, Zoe, and Marie have indeed run into trouble. Someone used some kind of spatial magic to isolate them in the hotel. The people I sent to New Centralia aren't strong enough to deal with that spatial magic."

They're playing it that big? Even using spatial magic?

Regardless of the world, spatial magic and temporal magic are the most dangerous forms of magic, and those who can master them are generally quite powerful.

Roy felt that he might have underestimated the King of Wrath's cult. These people could not only brainwash others through dreams but also set up spatial magic to isolate people from reality.

An organization like this would rank among the top in all of America, wouldn't it?

"Ms. Snow, I will get to New Centralia as soon as possible to save them. Please don't worry!"

"Then I'm counting on you, Mr. Black!"

With that, Myrtle hung up the phone.

However, after hanging up, Myrtle sat silently at her desk for a long time before letting out a deep sigh.

This old woman, burdened with the responsibility of the Witch Council, still didn't quite trust Roy. She hadn't actually seen Roy in action herself, only heard descriptions of his strength from a few young witches.

Not wanting to take any risks, Myrtle ultimately picked up the phone again. This call was to the White House.

To preserve the last hope of the Witch Council, Myrtle chose to compromise with the federal government in exchange for their support.

After making this call, Myrtle showed a sad expression.

"I wonder if I will become a sinner to the Witch Council?"

Myrtle closed her eyes, and two lines of tears streamed down her cheeks.

After receiving the information, the White House immediately contacted the FEA.

The FEA quickly dispatched their strongest available force, which was the Archangel of Wisdom, Uriel Iris.

Hearing that the King of Wrath's cult was causing trouble again, Iris naturally wouldn't refuse to help.

However, Iris was currently at the FEA headquarters in New York State, so it would still take some time for her to reach New Centralia.

Chapter 255: Welcome to Silent Hill

Let's rewind the camera to a certain three-star hotel in New Centralia.

The three little witches from the Apocalypse Society had been trapped in this room for the entire day. At first, the three of them tried to find a way out, but by the afternoon, they had completely given up and were each sitting on the sofa waiting for rescue.

There was no other way. The food in the room was limited. If they did nothing, they could at least conserve some energy; otherwise, they definitely wouldn't last a few days.

"I'm so hungry."

Madison looked at the ceiling listlessly, her face full of despair.

To prolong the time they could wait for rescue, the three little witches had implemented a food rationing system. Zoe, the girl with the strongest self-control among them, was in charge of distributing the food.

Although Madison had been very stubborn when facing Maria's accusations earlier, she was definitely regretting it now.

If she hadn't dozed off and noticed the situation outside the door, she wouldn't be starving now.

"Madison, can you shut up! I get annoyed just hearing your voice now!"

Maria glared at Madison irritably. The little boat of friendship capsized in an instant, and the two of them returned to the antagonistic feeling they had when they first met.

Madison rolled her eyes, looking at Maria with a hint of sarcasm.

"What? Can't even talk now? Are you the Supreme Witch?"

Seeing that the two were about to argue again, Zoe had to interject.

"Stop it! You're so hungry, do you still have the energy to fight?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Zoe's stomach rumbled loudly, followed by Madison's and Maria's.

For a moment, the room was filled with gurgling sounds.

To last longer, the three of them had only eaten some cookies and drunk some bottled water today.

This little bit of food had long been digested, which was why Madison looked so weak.

Madison and Maria remained silent. They really didn't have the energy to continue arguing and could only express their feelings with their eyes.

Zoe felt a little annoyed and wanted to go to the bathroom to wash her face.

Although the hotel room had been separated from the normal world, the water and electricity were still working, which would allow the three little witches to hold out for a while longer.

As soon as she entered the bathroom, Zoe suddenly noticed a large hole in the wall next to the bathtub.

(Game screenshot)

"Madison, Maria, come here and take a look!"

"What happened?"

Zoe's anxious tone made Madison and Maria reluctantly perk up and go to the bathroom to check. Then, both of them showed shocked expressions.

"Was there such a hole here this afternoon?"

Madison looked at Maria. Only Maria had used this bathroom this afternoon.

"Definitely not!"

"So this hole only appeared tonight?"

Madison, who was relatively bold, touched the hole in front of her and realized it wasn't an illusion.

The hole in front of them was just big enough for a person to crawl through, but the dark hole seemed to have no end.

"Where does this hole lead to?"

Zoe poked her head around the entrance of the hole, her expression a little hesitant and uncertain.

"Wherever it leads, it's definitely not to the hotel hallway."

The other side of this wall should be the hotel hallway, and the wall shouldn't be more than half a meter thick, but the depth of the hole clearly exceeded this distance.

After fumbling around for a while, Madison turned back to look at Zoe and Maria.

"Should we crawl in and see?"

Zoe's eyes widened.

"Are you, are you serious? Who knows where the end of the hole is? Maybe it's a dead end, and you'll get stuck inside after crawling in!"

Maria nodded with her chin in her hand.

"What Zoe said makes some sense, but I also agree with trying it. It's better than just waiting here."

Zoe looked at Maria speechlessly. This girl had just been arguing with Madison, and now she was agreeing with her again.

So Madison was a true bitch through and through, while Maria appeared quiet and elegant on the surface but was actually someone who liked excitement deep down.

Only Zoe was a true lady.

"Then who will be the first to crawl into this hole?"

This was also a problem. The first person to crawl into the hole would definitely face the greatest risk.

The three of them were silent for a while. In the end, Maria stepped forward.

"Let me do it! If I get stuck inside, Madison should have a chance to pull me out, and I can also ask my sister Elan to help scout ahead."

A spirit double has no physical form, making it indeed the best choice for scouting ahead.

Hearing this, Madison nodded.

"If you get stuck inside, I will definitely do my best to pull you out!"

To ensure Maria had better physical strength, Zoe let her eat some more cookies. Then, Maria began her first attempt to crawl into the hole.

Crawling in such a cramped, narrow, and dark hole was undoubtedly very psychologically stressful, especially since Maria didn't know what lay ahead. The fear of the unknown was the most terrifying.

Fortunately, Maria's twin sister, Elan, stayed with her the whole time, which was also why Maria was suitable to be the first to crawl into the hole.

The hole was very long, but its overall size remained basically the same.

They didn't know how long they had been crawling, but just as Maria was about to give up, she finally saw a light ahead.

"It's the exit!"

Maria gritted her teeth and crawled towards the light.

The moment she crawled out of the hole, Maria felt like she had been reborn.

"Phew, finally out! Elan, how long did I crawl?"

"Only five minutes, not too long."

"It was only five minutes? It felt like several hours!"

After catching her breath, Maria began to observe her surroundings.

It looked like a subway station. Maria could see the ticket gates and the platform.

However, what Maria found strange was that there wasn't a single person around, and the smog was very heavy, making it impossible to see anything further away.

"It feels like going from one confined world to another."

It has to be said that Maria's intuition was very strong, and she quickly realized that something was wrong here.

"Maria, there are words here!"

Elan found a strange GG sign and quickly called Maria over to take a look.

Well, Elan died at birth, and her soul only recently awakened, so theoretically, she was illiterate.

"Let me see what it says... Welcome to Silent Hill! Is this Silent Hill? Did we actually come straight to the Silent Hill subway station?"

Roy had already explained the general situation of Silent Hill to the three little witches, but Maria hadn't thought in that direction at first.

After all, who would have thought that you could crawl through a hole in a bathroom in New Centralia and end up in a Silent Hill subway station who knows how far away?

Anyway, Maria hadn't expected it.

At this moment, another person crawled out of the hole.

"Ouch! That was exhausting!"

It turned out that Madison had also crawled out of the hole.

"Madison? Why did you crawl over too?"

Madison dusted herself off and answered Maria.

"You were crawling for so long, and I was worried something might have happened to you, so I crawled into the hole to pull you out. But as I was crawling, I ended up here. Where is this place?"

Madison looked around with a curious expression.

"This is the Silent Hill subway station! Madison, what about Zoe if you came over?"

"I've already told Zoe to stay in the hotel and wait for rescue no matter what. This way, we can avoid a situation where something happens to us here, and no one knows what's going on."

It seemed Madison had already prepared for the worst.

"Okay, then let's explore this Silent Hill world."

On the other side, Rose finally drove out of the landslide area by constantly rubbing against the guardrail and entered the normal road.

In this situation, Rose's daughter, Sharon, still hadn't woken up, and Rose, busy trying to get rid of Roy and Cybil, hadn't noticed this unusual situation.

Unfortunately, after leaving the bicycle lane area of the landslide, it was impossible for Rose to shake off Roy.

The performance of Bumblebee was no joke. Rose's white SUV tried to block Bumblebee, but Bumblebee just made a feint and skillfully tricked Rose, driving alongside her.

This completely confused Cybil in the back. The two cars almost occupied the entire lane, and she couldn't overtake them at all.

"You two, pull over right now!"

The two outlaws completely ignored Cybil, the police officer.

Just then, a little girl in a purple dress suddenly flashed across the road ahead. With Roy's abnormal dynamic vision, he could see that this little girl looked almost exactly like Rose's daughter, Sharon.

Rose also saw the figure and was so frightened that she suddenly swerved the steering wheel.

Bumblebee was also startled because it was right next to the white SUV, and Rose's sudden swerve meant she was about to hit it.

Fortunately, Bumblebee, as a silicon-based life form, had a very fast reaction speed and slammed on the brakes at the last moment to avoid being hit by the white SUV.

However, the white SUV wasn't so lucky. Because of the excessive speed and the sudden swerve, the car directly rolled over and crashed into the guardrail, almost falling off the cliff.

"Bumblebee, stop!"

Roy got out of the car, his expression grim as he walked towards the overturned white SUV.

At this time, the blonde policewoman behind also stopped her motorcycle, took out her gun, and pointed it at Roy.

"Don't move! Or I'll shoot!"

Bang!

This shot wasn't fired by Cybil, but by Roy, who was a little annoyed by the meddlesome blonde policewoman. He shot away her sidearm.

Cybil's eyes widened, and she began to stutter.

"Y-you, you actually dared to attack a police officer?"

Roy rolled his eyes.

"I told you a long time ago, you and I are on the same side! If I were a criminal, you'd be dead already!"

Indeed, if Roy wanted to kill Cybil, that shot just now would have been aimed at her head.

Since Roy could shoot away the blonde policewoman's sidearm with one shot, he could naturally blow her head off with one shot as well.

Thinking of this, Cybil fell silent. She also realized this point.

"I need to see your identification!"

Roy took out his ID from his pocket and tossed it to Cybil, while he began to check the condition of the white SUV.

Unsurprisingly, the white SUV was empty. Rose and Sharon seemed to have crossed over to another world in the car accident just now.

"F***! How could this happen?"

Roy angrily slapped the door of the white SUV. The moment the car flipped over, he felt an unusual energy fluctuation.

At that time, Roy had a bad feeling, and when he got out of the car, his suspicions were confirmed.

Clearly, Alessa didn't want to bring Roy into Silent Hill; she only wanted Rose to enter.

In the movie plot, the blonde policewoman Cybil also caught up to this car accident and was forced into Silent Hill, but in this world, because of Roy, she didn't catch up.

It's hard to say whether this is good or bad for Cybil, because in the movie, the ending for this righteous blonde policewoman was quite tragic.

That's why Roy had been so tolerant of Cybil.

"Federal Emergency Response Bureau Agent Roy Black? I've never heard of this department. You didn't print this ID yourself, did you?"

"This is a secret federal department, and you're just a small traffic cop, of course you wouldn't know."

Roy glared at Cybil irritably. If it weren't for this policewoman's obstruction, he might have already intercepted Rose.

But then he thought again, if Alessa didn't want to bring him into Silent Hill, even if he had been in the white SUV when the car accident happened, he probably wouldn't have been able to enter Silent Hill.

It seemed he could only think of another way.

Roy looked at the somewhat naive blonde policewoman, Cybil.

"Hey, Officer Bennett, are you a local?"

Cybil had already returned the ID to Roy at this time.

"Yes, I'm from New Centralia."

What a coincidence?

Roy raised an eyebrow and then began to bluff Cybil.

"Officer Bennett, I'm currently on a secret mission. The mission target is that mother and daughter just now, but they've now disappeared."

Hearing this, Cybil was stunned.

"Disappeared? How is that possible! Shouldn't they be inside the car?"

The blonde policewoman rushed to the window of the overturned white SUV to check, but found that there was indeed no one inside.

Clearly, the car windows and everything were properly closed, and there were no signs of damage to the car, but the people were gone.

"How could this be?"

Cybil rubbed her eyes, her face full of disbelief.

"Stop looking. The two of them have been taken away by some kind of supernatural force. That's what I'm here to investigate."

Cybil looked up at Roy.

"So you're the kind of agent who deals with supernatural events, like those Area 51 agents?"

Thanks to America's rich film and television productions, coupled with the fact that the truth was right in front of her, Cybil quickly accepted the reality.

"Pretty much! I'm going to New Centralia now, Officer Bennett. Can you take me?"

Cybil hesitated for a moment.

"What about Ms. Mason and her daughter?"

"The mother and daughter are no longer in this world. I can only think of another way to find them now, and that way is in New Centralia."

Roy originally wanted to follow Rose directly into the surface world of Silent Hill, but now that plan had fallen through, he could only think of another way.

Since that was the case, he would go find the three little witches from the Apocalypse Society first.

"Okay, Mr. Black, but we need to turn back. This road doesn't lead to New Centralia."

Chapter 256: Halo of the Sun

"Is this the city?"

Outside New Centralia, a white-robed nun with a black cloth covering her eyes got out of the car and gazed at the distant city.

It was already six in the morning. In May, Maine should have already welcomed the dawn, but the white-robed nun could only see the haze above the city.

"Yes, Ms. Iris."

A middle-aged man in a black suit got out of the other side of the car. This middle-aged man had ordinary looks, the kind you'd forget the moment you passed him on the street, but his eyes revealed a shrewdness that marked him as someone out of the ordinary.

More than a dozen other people in similar black suits, looking sharp and capable, followed behind the middle-aged man from the other cars.

"Then let me see the fate of this city!"

Iris's eyes, covered by the black cloth, seemed to pierce through time, seeing the future of New Centralia.

But after a few seconds, Iris suddenly swayed and covered her eyes.

"Damn it!"

"Ms. Iris, are you alright?"

The middle-aged man beside her tried to help Iris, but she refused.

"Agent Edgar, I'm fine!"

"Ms. Iris, what did you see?"

Iris took a deep breath and answered the middle-aged man.

"I saw the cataclysm of this city!"

Just now, Iris had seen thick fog, ashes, flames, an inverted pentagram, and countless wronged souls.

But towards the end, the images Iris saw became increasingly blurry. When she tried to concentrate to see the future clearly, she felt dizzy.

Something was wrong. The future Iris could see wouldn't be so short unless this future was being interfered with by some being.

To do this, one would have to be at least at the level of the Seven Demon Lords.

Thinking of the inverted pentagram symbol she had seen, could Samael be manipulating all of this?

Then she had to be prepared!

Iris's expression became serious. She turned to look at the middle-aged man.

"Agent Edgar, this incident may be even more terrifying than previously estimated. My suggestion is that the FEA immediately go to the highest alert level and bring in more agents from the surrounding areas and headquarters!"

The middle-aged man hesitated, looking somewhat uncertain.

After all, issuing the highest alert was a huge responsibility, one that even he, as a high-ranking agent at FEA headquarters, couldn't easily bear.

"Ms. Iris, is it that serious?"

"If you don't do this, you may witness a completely destroyed city and hundreds of thousands of wronged souls!"

Seeing how serious Iris sounded, Edgar had to take it seriously.

"Ms. Iris, I will report this to my superiors immediately! However, I don't have the authority to decide on the specific course of action. All I can do is transfer agents from Portland and FEAR members over here."

Portland was the largest city in Maine. FEA branch offices were generally located in big cities. Interestingly, there was another Portland in America, in Oregon on the West Coast.

Both Portlands happened to be the largest cities in their respective states.

Iris understood after listening to the middle-aged man. In her few months in America, the Angel of Wisdom had already understood how this country operated.

However, understanding was one thing; Iris found it very difficult to accept the stupidity of some politicians.

She guessed this time would be the same. By the time the FEA higher-ups and the White House finished their meetings, it would probably be too late.

"I need more help!"

Iris first thought of Roy. Although this half-demon had a complicated relationship with Michael, he was indeed reliable.

The Angel of Wisdom had once fought alongside Roy against the King of Greed, Mammon, so she had a very good impression of him.

Should she contact Roy Black?

The Angel of Wisdom didn't know that Roy had also just arrived in New Centralia at this time, but because he entered from the north of the city, while Iris was in the south, the two hadn't met yet.

At this moment, Iris's phone suddenly rang.

Well, although she was an angel, Iris had already adapted to local customs and was using various high-tech gadgets.

For example, the satellite phone she was carrying was provided by the FEA. It used the most cutting-edge technology and could also provide global positioning.

Iris was well aware of the FEA's intentions, but she didn't care about these petty tricks. Anyway, she had ways to block satellite positioning.

Current human technology posed little difficulty for the Angel of Wisdom. In just a few months, she had already obtained several doctoral degrees, just to better understand the changes in modern humans.

There were very few people who had Iris's number, probably only Isabella, Roy, Gerald, a few FEA higher-ups, and the current President.

The caller was somewhat unexpected to Iris. It was actually Isabella.

Since more than a month ago, when Iris went to the church in Waterfall Town to confirm that Michael had returned to Heaven ahead of schedule, she hadn't contacted her again. She didn't expect to suddenly receive a call from Isabella today.

"Hello, this is Iris."

"Lady Iris, Lord Michael told me a message. Lord Raphael has descended to Earth."

Although Michael had left Isabella's body, the connection between her and Isabella had not been severed.

So, as long as Michael was willing, he could transmit messages from Heaven to Isabella.

Hearing this, Iris's heart stirred. Wasn't this helper arriving just in time?

Raphael was also one of the four archangels in Heaven, but unlike the other three archangels, he wasn't very good at fighting. His abilities leaned towards healing and he was known as the Angel of Healing.

At the same time, Raphael was also skilled in music, poetry, painting, sculpture, and other artistic pursuits, which was quite unusual among angels.

However, Uriel's relationship with Raphael was rather ordinary because the Angel of Wisdom had a calm and rational personality, while the Angel of Healing was free-spirited and undisciplined. Their personalities could be said to be completely opposite.

So, Raphael hadn't even told Uriel about his descent to Earth.

Of course, it was also possible that Raphael had a sudden whim and decided to descend to Earth without telling anyone, and Michael discovered it afterward.

Raphael had done this kind of thing quite a few times before, often causing headaches for the other three archangels.

"Isabella, is there a way to contact Raphael?"

Hearing this, Isabella on the other end was silent for a moment before replying.

"I, I'm not sure if I can contact Lord Raphael. Should I go ask the Vatican?"

If it was about contacting the Church, Iris could contact them herself. Why would she need Isabella as an intermediary?

Iris's intention was actually to have Isabella pass the message to Michael, and then have Michael use Gabriel's abilities to pass the message to Raphael.

This process sounded complicated, but it was actually the fastest method right now, since no one knew where Raphael was.

"Isabella, I've discovered that the King of Wrath is plotting something sinister. I need Raphael's help. Do you understand what I mean?"

As soon as she heard that Samael was causing trouble, Isabella, who had a strong sense of justice, immediately changed her attitude.

"Lady Iris, I will do my best to contact Lord Michael! Please wait for my news!"

"It must be fast. I'm currently in New Centralia, Maine. Once you contact Raphael, have him come here immediately!"

The phone hung up quickly. Iris saw a ray of sunlight pierce through the dark clouds, bringing a brief moment of light to the city of New Centralia.

"I hope everything is still in time."

A trace of worry appeared on Iris's usually calm face.

The scene shifted back to Roy. He had just driven Bumblebee, following Cybil, the local, to the outside of the three-star hotel where the three little witches from the Apocalypse Society were staying.

However, Roy didn't go in directly, afraid of alerting anyone.

From Madison and the others' experience, it was clear that New Centralia had been heavily infiltrated by the King of Wrath's cult. No one knew if there were any cult informants inside the hotel.

So, Roy wanted to learn about the city's situation from Cybil outside.

Unsurprisingly, most of the people in New Centralia believed in a religion called the Follower Sect. This situation was even more serious than the King of Gluttony's cult in Los Angeles.

The King of Gluttony's cult mainly infiltrated the high ranks of the Los Angeles Police Department and quickly disintegrated after Iris took down its leader.

But in New Centralia, hundreds of thousands of people fanatically believed in that holy maiden, Jennifer.

Cybil herself didn't believe in the Follower Sect, but many of her colleagues at the police station did.

The entire city could be said to be full of informants for the Follower Sect. So, the three little witches thought they had escaped the cult's pursuit, but they were actually still in the cultists' grasp.

It was just that the three of them were indeed capable fighters, and the cultists didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble, so they simply used magic to seal their room.

"Looks like I still need to be careful."

Roy pondered for a moment, thinking about how to rescue the three little witches from the Apocalypse Society under the noses of the Follower Sect.

Cybil looked hesitant, as if she wanted to say something but didn't dare. Roy noticed her condition.

"Officer Bennett, do you have something you want to tell me?"

"Mr. Black, is there something wrong with this Follower Sect?"

Actually, Cybil had already seen something from Roy's attitude, but she still wanted to confirm it.

"Yes, it's a dangerous cult organization."

"Why is that? My parents believe in this religion!"

Hearing this, Roy looked at Cybil with some surprise.

Religious beliefs in America were generally family-based, meaning that whatever the elders believed, the younger generation would often follow the same religion.

"Oh? Then why don't you believe in this sect?"

"Our family originally believed in Protestantism. About ten years ago, I went to serve in the military. When I returned after my discharge, I found that my parents had converted to the Follower Sect, and they've been trying to get me to convert ever since."

Roy's heart stirred.

"Then you should have some clothing or token of faith from this sect on you, right? Could you lend it to me for a bit?"

Cybil was taken aback for a moment.

"I think so! Today is the Follower Sect's Sabbath, my parents should be at the cathedral for worship right now."

"The cathedral, is it over there?"

New Centralia wasn't large, with only a few hundred thousand permanent residents. It was a typical tourist and cultural city, with basically no tall buildings in the urban area. The most obvious landmark was the large cathedral in the city center.

The top of this cathedral was the large cross formed by four smaller crosses (the one in the screenshot of Chapter 253).

At this moment, the cathedral bells were ringing, and the entire city seemed to awaken with the sound of the bells.

"Yes, that's it! Devout believers will go to the church to worship all day today."

So, today might be the time when the cultists are most relaxed?

Roy showed a thoughtful expression and then looked at Cybil.

"Let's go get your things first!"

At Cybil's house, Roy obtained a red robe specifically for believers, as well as the Follower Sect's scripture and a cross.

After putting on this outfit, Roy immediately looked very much like a genuine cultist.

"Very good, this disguise should work. Officer Bennett, you wait for me outside. I'm going into the hotel to rescue my companions."

"Mr. Black, are you sure you don't need my help? I should be able to help out a bit!"

"Officer Bennett, how about this? You stay outside and back me up. If I don't come out within twenty minutes, you try to create some commotion to attract the attention of the people inside the hotel."

"Okay, no problem!"

After instructing Cybil, Roy entered the three-star hotel.

As expected, Roy's disguise didn't attract anyone's attention when he entered the hotel. Many staff members even nodded and greeted him after seeing his attire. It was likely that these staff members were also believers in the Follower Sect.

He arrived at the floor where Madison and the others were staying very smoothly. Roy had already learned the specific room number of the three from Motel beforehand.

"Let me see what's going on!"

On the phone, Motel's description of Madison's situation was rather vague, possibly because she thought Roy wouldn't understand even if she explained it.

Through visual observation, there was nothing unusual about the three little witches' room. But when Roy tried to push the door, even with his current strength attribute of 60, there should have been some reaction from just a casual push.

Seriously, with Roy's current strength, a punch on the wall could collapse an entire wall. This situation was clearly abnormal.

"Looks like something is hidden."

So, Roy activated his Eyes of Truth. A scan with his golden pupils revealed a red magic circle drawn on the door of this room.

(Halo of the Sun)

This magic circle didn't appear in the Key of Solomon, so it must have been created by someone later.

Roy could roughly see many runes within the magic circle, perhaps a magic circle combining the Solomon magic system and the Norse rune magic system.

Just by looking at it, Roy could feel the powerful magic contained within this magic circle.

No wonder the witch Motel sent to protect Madison and them couldn't handle this magic circle. After all, with the current meager resources of the Witch's Union...

He still had to rely on himself!

Chapter 257: Triangle Head

After studying it for a while, Roy started to regret not bringing Lilith along.

If that seasoned witch had been here, maybe she could have figured out what was wrong. But Roy, despite having the knowledge of the Key of Solomon, hadn't fully mastered it.

Especially since the magic circle in front of him also involved runes, which was a total blind spot for Roy.

"No way around it, looks like I'll have to brute force this!"

Roy was just about to transform when he suddenly felt someone watching him. He turned his head and saw a young man with shoulder-length blonde hair, wearing a priest's outfit, standing at the end of the hallway.

The blonde young man had a Follower's crucifix around his neck and was holding a black religious book in front of him with both hands.

When the heck did this guy get there?

Roy narrowed his eyes.

Feeling Roy's gaze, the blonde young man spoke with some surprise.

"Huh? You can see me?"

Wait, what? Does that mean this guy has been standing there since the beginning, but he was invisible before, so I couldn't see him?

"Who are you?"

The blonde young man gave a faint smile.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that? I don't seem to remember anyone like you in the Order."

Sometimes being too handsome is a pain. Everyone remembers Roy very clearly, making it hard to even try and blend in.

But thankfully, Roy had already thought ahead before coming in.

"The Bishop sent me. Please don't misunderstand."

A strange expression appeared on the blonde young man's face.

"Oh? Bishop Gillespie sent you? How come I don't know about this?"

Dahlia Gillespie was the publicly known Archbishop of the Follower's Order. Roy had already learned this name from Sibyl.

Since this blonde young man addressed Gillespie as "大人" (Dàrén - roughly "respected figure" or "sir"), his position in the Order should be lower than Gillespie's.

"Not Bishop Gillespie, Bishop Wolfe."

Leonard Wolfe, the guy who entered Carrie's dream on the island in Crystal Lake to brainwash her.

This guy was also a well-known Bishop within the Follower's Order, second only to Gillespie in rank, but he rarely appeared in public, so not many people outside the Order knew about him.

It just so happened that Sibyl's parents were quite devout, so they knew this person's name.

Conveniently, Roy knew there was a factional struggle between Leonard Wolfe and Dahlia Gillespie, so he planned to use that to confuse Gillespie's people.

"So, you're with Bishop Wolfe? Too bad, Bishop Gillespie gave orders that no one is allowed near this room."

As he spoke, the blonde young man picked up the book in his hands and opened it, looking like he was about to cast a spell.

Roy immediately pulled out his Smith & Wesson M629 ivory edition and fired a shot at the blonde young man.

Bang!

Roy's goal was to stop the blonde young man from casting a spell, not to kill him, so he didn't aim for any vital areas.

But when the bullet was about to hit the blonde young man, it was like it entered water, only causing ripples in the air before disappearing.

Roy's eyes widened.

Could it be an illusion?

Impossible! Even an illusion shouldn't be able to fool the Eye of Truth he got from Marbas, unless it was an illusion cast by Elizabeth!

Roy immediately realized that this blonde young man actually existed in another dimension, and what he was seeing was actually an image, like a projection.

Damn it! This is trouble!

The blonde young man didn't stop his actions, seemingly having expected this outcome. He calmly began to recite prayers.

"Pray, for I am the Scarlet God!

The embodiment of death and wrath, the one true God in this world!

Believers, listen to my words!

..."

As the blonde young man spoke, Roy noticed the hallway changing.

The originally beautiful wallpaper and paint peeled off, revealing rusty metal walls underneath. The floor also turned into metal wire mesh, and through the mesh, he could see a bottomless abyss of darkness below.

This scene surprised Roy greatly. This guy could actually summon the Otherworld of Silent Hill into reality?

But it seemed like in the second Silent Hill movie, someone did manage to do this, but that was because the female lead, Heather, possessed divine power herself and was attracted to the power of Silent Hill.

Yeah, the protagonist of the second Silent Hill movie and the third game is the same person, and her name happens to be the same as that one in Sawyer Estate.

But this Heather shouldn't have been born yet.

This guy can't be allowed to succeed!

Roy quickly ran towards the blonde young man. Even if the other guy was on a different plane of existence, there had to be a way to deal with him.

Fear Domain, activate!

Roy could see the blonde young man visibly freeze for a moment, and then a look of intense fear appeared on his face. He stopped reciting the prayer and started calling for his mom.

"Mommy, please! Please don't leave me!"

Who knew this guy's biggest fear was his mom abandoning him?

But the changes in the surrounding environment didn't stop even though the blonde young man had stopped praying.

Wait a minute! Could it be that this prayer wasn't actually a spell at all? Maybe it was just lines to set the mood?

Soon, the blonde young man came back to his senses. This kid's willpower must be pretty high. He looked at Roy angrily.

"What the hell did you do to me?"

At this moment, Roy had already rushed up close to the blonde young man.

"You should be asking me what I'm about to do to you! Dark Touch!"

A mass of shadow appeared from behind Roy, and five tentacles made of dark energy extended from the shadow, grabbing the blonde young man.

The blonde young man hadn't expected the tentacles to be able to grab him at all, so he was completely unprepared.

It worked!

Roy had only tried it on a whim, because he didn't really have any spatial abilities, and Dark Touch was the closest thing he had.

The Slender Man's Dark Touch was originally a spatial ability combined with dark elements. You could tell from how it could ignore a person's skin and directly absorb the flesh and blood inside their body.

"Gotcha!"

"This is impossible!"

The blonde young man's expression at this moment was even more terrified than when he was affected by the Fear Domain and saw those terrifying illusions. After all, his most prized magic had been broken by someone.

"Now, tell me how to break the magic on Room 302!"

302 was the hotel room where Madison and the others were staying. Roy suspected that the magic circle was drawn by the blonde young man, judging from the spatial magic skills the guy had just displayed.

"I won't tell you!"

The blonde young man gritted his teeth, seeming pretty tough.

Then there's no other way. Shadow of Fear!

Roy resorted to his best interrogation tactic, wanting to use the power of fear to force the blonde young man to talk.

However, the blonde young man's will was very strong. Roy kept increasing the output of chaos energy, but it didn't make him yield.

Okay, even though the other guy was a bad guy, not all bad guys are pushovers who will cave in just by being scared.

There are still some tough nuts out there, especially in these kinds of religious organizations. There must be a lot of brainwashed fanatics.

Just as Roy was pondering how to pry open the blonde young man's mouth, a long sword suddenly pierced through the blonde young man's body, almost stabbing him as well.

Fortunately, with the help of Assassin's Heart, Roy reacted in time and jumped back, dodging the blade.

The blonde young man wasn't harmed by this attack because he was in another dimension.

A burly man wearing a metal triangular helmet walked through the blonde young man's body towards Roy. The long sword in his hand dragged across the wire mesh floor, creating sparks. This guy also had a clear red inverted pentagram branded on his chest.

Triangle Head!

(Gender-bent version of Triangle Head)

Triangle Head, also known as the Executioner, is one of the most iconic monsters in Silent Hill, second only to the faceless nurse.

However, Triangle Head is a purely physical monster, and physical monsters are what Roy fears the least.

"Get lost, you!"

Taking the chainsaw sword out of his inventory, Roy swung it at Triangle Head.

Although Triangle Head raised his long sword to block Roy's attack at the first moment, the 60 points of strength still forced Triangle Head to retreat several steps.

Roy judged Triangle Head's approximate physical attributes. This guy's agility shouldn't be high, and his movement speed wasn't too fast.

But his strength and constitution were quite good, probably around 40 points.

These kinds of attributes were enough to slaughter ordinary people, which is why Triangle Head was almost invincible in the original work, but his opponent now was Roy.

The blonde young man had already escaped under the cover of Triangle Head, which made Roy very angry.

"Bastard! Die!"

Roy directly entered his demon form. After the Defiler was upgraded to Ashbringer, his form change was upgraded again.

First of all, his demon form became even larger. Roy was now four meters tall, and his head was touching the ceiling.

At the same time, the temporarily increased attribute points for his physical body also became 30 points, which made Roy's constitution attribute break through 100 for the first time.

What was the concept of 100 constitution attribute?

Roy could now withstand a direct hit from a cannonball without taking any damage!

The originally tall and burly Triangle Head looked like a child in front of Roy, and Roy grabbed him in his hand.

[Detected special character Triangle Head. You can absorb the Power of Fate to obtain rewards!]

Triangle Head still wanted to resist, but Roy directly ripped off his metal triangular helmet.

Underneath the helmet was a bloody, blurred face with empty eye sockets and no nose.

He easily crushed Triangle Head, but the blonde young man had already disappeared without a trace.

[Ding! Obtained Triangle Head's Fate Treasure Chest! Open it?]

"F***!"

If Triangle Head hadn't dropped a treasure chest, Roy would have been furious.

With the death of Triangle Head, the surrounding environment returned to the normal hotel hallway.

It seemed that this spatial change was caused by Triangle Head, and that blonde young man might have just summoned him.

Returning to the front of Room 302, Roy punched the door. His 90 points of strength made each punch as terrifying as a cannonball, and some cracks appeared on the magic circle on the door.

Roy threw a second punch, and the cracks on the magic circle became even more obvious!

With the third punch, the magic circle finally shattered with a crack, completely breaking the door as well.

Zoey, inside Room 302, was startled by the loud crash. She thought something had happened again, and then she saw a four-meter-tall red demon standing in the doorway.

"Who are you?"

"Zoey, it's me!"

Roy returned to his human form, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to fit through the door.

Seeing that it was Roy, Zoey finally relaxed and rushed over to hug him.

"Roy, I thought I'd be trapped in this room forever. I'm so glad you came!"

Roy gently patted Zoey's back, comforting her. At this moment, he noticed that Zoey was the only one in the room. He couldn't see Madison and Maria.

"It's okay, Zoey, I'm here now! By the way, where are Madison and Maria?"

Zoey then remembered her two little friends.

"Madison and Maria left this room through a cave. We haven't heard from them for several hours!"

"A cave? Where's the cave?"

Zoey immediately pulled Roy to the bathroom, but found that the cave that was originally on the wall had disappeared.

"How could this be?"

"Zoey, tell me the specific situation in detail."

After listening to Zoey's description, Roy looked a bit dumbfounded.

Roy knew about the cave setting. It was a setting from the game Silent Hill 4: The Room. In the game, the protagonist is trapped in his apartment and can only travel between his apartment and Silent Hill through a mysterious hole.

So, that blonde long-haired young man from just now was Walter Sullivan, the antagonist from Silent Hill 4: The Room? His appearance did fit the description quite well.

How much stuff has been stitched together in this world? It's like the Silent Hill movies and games have all been mashed together, right?

"I'm guessing Madison and Maria should have already entered Silent Hill!"

"What? They went into Silent Hill?"

"What do we do now?"

Roy also felt a bit troubled. His biggest problem right now was that he couldn't enter the surface world of Silent Hill.

"F***! I refuse to believe that storming the Follower's Order's lair won't give me a way into Silent Hill! Zoey, you're sticking with me from now on!"

Zoey nodded.

As soon as the two of them left Room 302, they heard a series of rapid footsteps. Several strange people in protective suits appeared in the hallway, holding various firearms.

Roy quickly pulled Zoey back into the room. The next second, bullets rained down on them like a storm.

These people in protective suits probably hadn't received professional training and didn't know how to conserve ammunition. Once they pulled the trigger, they wouldn't let go.

Roy calculated the capacity of their magazines, then suddenly jumped out of the room, firing his two Smith & Wesson revolvers in quick succession.

Several of the protective-suited figures were instantly riddled with bullets.

"Quick, let's go! We must have been discovered by the Follower's Order!"

Footsteps kept coming, clearly indicating that the Follower's Order was still sending reinforcements. There were people everywhere in the stairwell and the hallway.

"He's over there!"

Roy himself wasn't afraid, but he was worried about stray bullets hitting Zoey. So, he directly activated his Fear Domain. All cultists who got close would immediately face a fear check, and then Roy could easily take them down.

Then, the fire alarm in the hotel suddenly went off.

Chapter 258: Showdown

The sudden blare of the fire alarm and the smoke successfully threw the cultists into chaos.

So, where did that fire alarm and smoke come from?

Why, Sibyl, of course!

Roy had discussed it with Sibyl beforehand: if he wasn't back down within twenty minutes, she should create a diversion.

Sibyl was very obedient. Right at the twenty-minute mark, she snuck into the hotel and lit some flammable materials.

The hotel's fire alarm system sensed the smoke and went off.

Sibyl's action did have some effect, at least making it easier for Roy to escape the hotel.

"Officer Bennett, let's go!"

Roy pulled Zoe into the Big Bumblebee, then slammed on the gas, heading towards the church in the city center. The blonde policewoman followed closely behind on her motorcycle.

"You're saying... you were almost killed?"

"Yes, Lord Gillespie."

The blonde young man, Walter Sullivan, knelt before Gillespie.

"Hmm! Could it be the Witches' Union acting again?"

Gillespie's first thought was the Witches' Union. After all, Sullivan had used magic to trap three little witches.

"Lord Gillespie, it might not be the Witches' Union. The person was a man."

"Oh, is that so? Then who could it be?"

Gillespie fell into thought. Just then, a cultist in protective gear walked in and whispered a few words in her ear.

"What did you say?! The FEA has launched an operation against New Centralia?"

The news shocked Gillespie so much that she couldn't control her emotions or her volume.

The Followers of the Apocalypse could be said to be operating very openly in New Centralia. It would be foolish to think they didn't have people on their side in the federal government.

So, after the FEA in Portland, Maine, was mobilized, an insider noticed the problem and relayed the information to Gillespie.

Gillespie paced back and forth, her expression becoming very ugly.

"Why would the FEA suddenly attack us? Why has it come to this? Who is behind this?"

After all, America was the world's superpower in this era. Suddenly hearing that she had to go up against the national machine made Gillespie very uneasy.

At this moment, Walter Sullivan, who was kneeling on the ground, spoke.

"Bishop, things have come to this. We can only speed up our plan. If it's just the FEA that's been deployed, we should still have time, right?"

Sullivan's words reminded Gillespie, and she quickly regained her composure.

"Walter, you're right! There's no point in thinking about this now. The reckoning can only wait until our Lord's kingdom descends! Walter, pass down my orders. Tell all the believers to prepare for the holy war! Also, I need to perform that ritual. Have everything ready!"

"Yes, Lord Gillespie!"

Sullivan and the cultist in protective gear retreated, leaving Gillespie alone in the office.

After giving the orders, Gillespie's mood didn't improve; instead, it became even heavier.

After a long while, Gillespie picked up the landline phone on her desk and dialed a number.

"Hello, this is Gillespie. Wolf, the Holy Sect has reached its most critical moment. I think we should put aside our past conflicts and cooperate sincerely."

"Alright, I agree to your terms. Your daughter will succeed me after my death. Then it's settled!"

Gillespie hung up the phone, her gaze fixed on the Sun Holy Ring emblem on the table as she muttered to herself.

"Want to succeed me? You'll have a long wait!"

As early as when she sacrificed her daughter, Gillespie had already prepared for eternal life.

It was just a pity that her daughter wasn't very obedient, forcing Gillespie's plan for eternal life to be postponed by 20 years.

"This is the last chance. I absolutely cannot fail again!"

On the other side, Roy, who was on his way to the New Centralia Cathedral, suddenly felt that something was wrong. First, there were many more helicopters flying back and forth in the sky. Then, the streets had become strangely quiet.

Even if today was the Followers of the Apocalypse's Sabbath, it shouldn't be this quiet, right?

Wasn't it said that nearly half the people in New Centralia didn't believe in the Followers of the Apocalypse?

Just as he was wondering, Roy suddenly felt the ground begin to shake violently. The shaking didn't last too long, only a few seconds.

But the Big Bumblebee suddenly spoke.

"Mr. Black... electromagnetic interference... I'm afraid... shutting down..."

"Bumblebee, what did you say?"

No sooner had he spoken than the Big Bumblebee, which was on autopilot, suddenly lost control and started spinning, nearly hitting Sibyl, who was leading the way.

Finally, Roy barely managed to control the steering wheel, crashing the car into a wall to stop.

At this point, the Big Bumblebee had completely stopped responding. Neither ignition nor any other operation worked.

"Zoe, are you alright?"

"I'm fine! Roy, did your car just talk?"

"Don't worry about the details!"

At this moment, Sibyl rode over on her motorcycle to ask about Roy's situation.

"Mr. Black, what happened?"

"My car seems to have suddenly lost control!"

"Lost control? Could it be because of the earthquake just now?"

When an earthquake occurs, it is indeed possible for it to be accompanied by changes in the magnetic field, causing some electronic equipment to malfunction.

However, as a silicon-based lifeform from Cybertron, the Big Bumblebee shouldn't be shut down by a simple earthquake's magnetic field change, right?

Just as he was thinking this, a strange sound suddenly came from overhead.

Roy looked up and saw a helicopter falling from the sky, right towards his location.

Why is the Grim Reaper of the gutter still chasing me?!

"Watch out!"

Roy quickly scrambled out of the car, pushed Sibyl aside, then transformed into his demon form, successfully catching the falling helicopter.

This scene shocked Sibyl beyond words. She didn't come back to her senses until Roy threw the helicopter to the side of the road.

"Something definitely happened!"

Roy noticed that the helicopters in the sky were falling like dumplings, which definitely wasn't caused by a simple earthquake!

"You... you're a demon?"

Sibyl finally came back to her senses, looking at Roy in his demon form and speaking stammeringly.

At this moment, Zoe also got out of the car.

"Uh-huh, Roy is indeed a demon, but a good demon, and I'm a witch too."

The combination of the words "good" and "demon" made Sibyl doubt her life for a moment.

However, judging from Roy's previous actions, he had indeed never主动 harmed anyone, so Sibyl couldn't help but fall silent.

"It's coming!"

Roy noticed a large area of thick fog rapidly surging out like a tide from the Followers of the Apocalypse's cathedral.

In almost the blink of an eye, it had already affected Roy's location.

At this time, looking from a high place, it would be even clearer. For example, Iris was currently standing on a hilltop outside the city of New Centralia and saw this shocking meteorological change.

"Ms. Iris, this is..."

Even Edgar, an experienced frontline FEA agent, had never seen such a grand scene.

"It seems someone has discovered our actions and wants to stop us!"

"Ms. Iris, then what should we do?"

"At this time, we need to let those sinners witness the great power of God!"

With that, Iris picked up the black leather book she always carried with her, flipped through a few pages, and began to recite.

"God said: Let there be light!"

Instantly, six pairs of pure white wings of light grew from Iris's back, and holy light shot into the sky.

At the same time, the dark clouds above the city of New Centralia were pierced by sunlight, and the fog on the ground began to recede rapidly under the sunlight.

This awe-inspiring scene left the FEA agents beside Iris dumbfounded.

This was simply a miracle!

Gillespie, who was preparing for the ritual inside the cathedral, immediately sensed the anomaly.

"Damn it! It's an angel of the false god!"

Although Gillespie didn't know which angel did it, she was certain that an angel capable of doing this was definitely of a high level.

After spitting out a mouthful of blood, Gillespie took out a serpentine dagger, her eyes turning red in that instant.

In the city, countless fanatical believers of the Followers of the Apocalypse also picked up sharp weapons around them at the same time.

"No one will stop me!"

With that, Gillespie raised the serpentine dagger high and stabbed it into her chest.

Blood spurted out, and this scene was being played out everywhere in the city. A large amount of rust formed where the warm blood splattered.

"Omnipotent Red God (another name for the Lord of Wrath), please let your great power descend upon this filthy world and completely destroy the power of the false god's messenger!"

The bizarre cross on top of the cathedral began to emit a dazzling red light. This was Gillespie using the power of faith accumulated in the church for 20 years, as well as the sacrifice of hundreds of fanatics, to counter Iris's grand prophecy.

Two different divine powers constantly collided in the city of New Centralia, causing the city to experience another earthquake.

The ground sank, houses collapsed, and the scene was like the end of the world.

In the end, Iris chose to retreat and didn't continue fighting Gillespie.

Because if they continued to fight, the entire New Centralia would be destroyed, and half of the blame would definitely fall on Iris.

Even an archangel could not bear such a sin!

"Ms. Iris, did you fail?"

Watching Iris retract her wings of light, while a small half of New Centralia was still shrouded in smoke, Edgar immediately had a bad feeling.

"No, I stopped myself. Continuing to fight that fellow would sacrifice many innocent people."

Edgar opened his mouth, but in his opinion, sacrificing a portion of people to prevent a greater disaster was definitely worth it.

"Then what should we do now?"

"What you need to do is seal off this city. As for the rest, leave it to me."

Iris closed the black leather book and walked towards downtown New Centralia.

Watching the white-robed nun's departing figure, Edgar picked up a satellite phone and began to issue orders.

"Have the FEAR ground forces enter the city and establish a defensive line around the fog area!"

The earthquake finally stopped, and Roy finally released Zoe from his embrace.

"Are you guys alright?"

"I'm fine!"

Zoe was definitely fine, after all, she was in Roy's arms.

"I'm fine too, just a few minor scratches!"

As for Sibyl, her luck was not so good. She accidentally fell during the earthquake and got some bruises.

After regaining her footing, Zoe looked around at the drastically changed environment with a dazed expression: collapsed buildings, broken roads, and pervasive fog.

"Roy, what exactly happened just now? Was that really just an earthquake?"

"I just sensed Uriel's power. It must be the Angel of Wisdom fighting the Followers of the Apocalypse that caused this!"

Roy had witnessed Iris's power in Los Angeles before, and he sensed it as soon as she started unleashing her grand prophecy this time.

The arrival of the Angel of Wisdom was also a good thing for Roy. After all, the Silent Hill incident was clearly getting bigger and bigger, and it was good to have someone to take responsibility.

However, Sibyl was still shocked by these words.

"There are angels too?"

Zoe looked at Sibyl strangely.

"You just saw a demon, why are you surprised there are angels?"

Sibyl slapped her face, feeling like she had said something stupid.

"Mr. Black, what do we do next?"

Roy looked at the blonde policewoman.

"Officer Bennett, you've seen it too. What's going to happen next is no longer suitable for you to be involved in. You'd better take advantage of this moment and leave this fog area as soon as possible."

Sibyl pondered for a moment and nodded.

"Alright, maybe you're right! Mr. Black, I hope we can meet again in the future."

Sibyl shook hands with Roy, then helped up her motorcycle.

Given the current road conditions, probably only motorcycles and tanks could drive.

"Oh, right, Officer Bennett. If you encounter other FEA agents after you get out, please conceal my existence. But if you see a white-robed nun with a black blindfold over her eyes, tell her that Roy Black is also in this city."

Although Sibyl was a little strange about why Roy wanted to hide himself from his colleagues, she still agreed.

"I will!"

The blonde policewoman Sibyl drove away on her motorcycle. Roy watched for a while before preparing to take Zoe to the cathedral.

At this moment, the shut-down Big Bumblebee suddenly restarted.

"Mr. Black, please wait for me!"

The Big Bumblebee suddenly transforming into its robot form startled Zoe.

"Roy, it it it..."

Roy patted Zoe's little head to calm her down.

"Bumblebee, are you back to normal?"

In the current environment, it was impossible to receive radio signals, yet Bumblebee was able to speak normally.

"Yes! The sudden strong electromagnetic interference just now forced me to shut down. After restarting, my language module seems to have returned to normal!"

"Roy, what exactly is this?"

Zoe hadn't recovered from the shock yet.

"Bumblebee is a silicon-based lifeform from outer space. You can think of it as an intelligent robot that can transform."

"Hello, Ms. Zoe Benson!"

Bumblebee reached out a hand to Zoe. Zoe glanced at Roy, and then, encouraged by his gaze, she also reached out her hand.

However, Zoe's hand was too small, and she could only hold one of Bumblebee's fingers.

"Bumblebee, you should transform back into car mode! Your robot form is too conspicuous!"

"No problem!"

Now that they had a ride, Roy and Zoe didn't need to walk to the cathedral.

Chapter 259: All Fear Comes From Insufficient Firepower

Inside the New Centralia Cathedral, Gillespie spat out another mouthful of blood, looking as if he'd aged more than a decade.

"Bishop Gillespie, are you alright?"

Sullivan stepped forward, showing his concern.

Gillespie took a deep breath and looked at Sullivan.

"I just managed to repel the false god's messenger, using a barrier to protect the cathedral. But I'm also seriously injured now and must return to the old church in Silent Hill to recuperate. Sullivan, you're one of my most prized disciples. I'm entrusting the new church to you."

Hearing this, Sullivan was incredibly excited.

"Bishop Gillespie, please rest assured! I will defend this church with my life!"

"Then I'm counting on you, Sullivan. As long as the Red God's kingdom descends upon the world, all our wishes will come true!"

Gillespie continued to paint Sullivan a pretty picture, but he didn't notice the unusual glint in Sullivan's eyes.

After giving his instructions, Gillespie handed his scepter to Sullivan, allowing him temporary control of the cathedral.

He then returned to his office and opened the door leading to Silent Hill.

After all, the New Centralia Cathedral had only been built for twenty years. The power of faith it contained, along with the sacrifices of hundreds of fanatics, was only just enough to contend with Iris.

But the old church in Silent Hill was different. It had been built for over two centuries, and the accumulated power of faith was far beyond what the New Centralia Cathedral could ever possess.

As soon as Gillespie entered the old church, he saw an old man in a dark red robe standing in the distance, as if waiting for him.

"Dahlia Gillespie, how long has it been since we last met?"

The old man looked at Gillespie with a strange smile. Gillespie looked quite disheveled, with a serpentine dagger still lodged in her chest.

"Indeed, Leonard Wolf."

"You look pretty rough. Need a hand?"

Gillespie glanced at the old man, then with a forceful movement, pulled out the serpentine dagger. Using the immense power of faith within the church, the wound on her chest began to heal rapidly. This was thanks to her superb magical skills, not the power of the King of Greed.

"No need! You should worry about your own backside first."

Wolf's expression instantly changed. Earlier, on the island in the middle of Crystal Lake, Roy had shot him in the butt while he was trying to escape by boat.

Although the wound had healed quickly afterward and there was no visible sign of it now, it was still a huge humiliation for him.

"Gillespie! If you can't lead the Holy Church forward, you might as well hand that thing over to me!"

Gillespie looked at Wolf coldly.

"If I can't do it, who can? You?"

These mocking words made Wolf tremble with anger.

"Gillespie, are you trying to start another war?"

Hearing this, Gillespie knew that Wolf was genuinely angry. The old man had to run around all the time at his age, simply because he was unwilling to be subordinate to her.

If she provoked him further, he might actually throw his hands up and leave.

So Gillespie softened her expression slightly, no longer confronting Wolf head-on.

"Wolf, since I've already promised you that I'll hand over the Holy Church's authority to your daughter after my death, I won't go back on my word! You didn't need to come all the way here just to say hello!"

Wolf's expression eased a bit, but he was still somewhat stubborn.

"I'm just worried that you'll ruin the Holy Church's excellent situation! Look at what enemies you've brought upon us!"

"At worst, we'll just retreat to the sanctuary of Silent Hill for a while. One day, we'll still lead the kingdom of God back to the human world!"

Gillespie didn't want to waste any more time talking to Wolf. She walked directly past him towards the depths of the church. After all, although her body had been healed by magic, the mental trauma wasn't so easily recovered.

Iris's combat power was no joke. Gillespie's strength was far from reaching the level of Mammon, the King of Greed. She could only barely contend with Iris by relying on the power of faith and the sacrifices of fanatics.

Wolf naturally wouldn't agree with Gillespie's statement.

"Gillespie, things can't be calculated like that! If you fail this time, you'll directly hand over the position of Archbishop to my daughter!"

Gillespie stopped in her tracks, knowing that Wolf was raising his price on the spot.

Clearly, Wolf had already learned about the situation in New Centralia, so he wanted to take the opportunity to force Gillespie to compromise.

"Fine, but I won't fail!"

It was just an empty promise, and Gillespie gave it to Wolf without hesitation.

Wolf watched Gillespie's receding figure, his expression becoming particularly gloomy.

"He even agreed to such a condition? What exactly is that guy planning? Damn it! If I had known he would agree so quickly, I should have asked for Carrie too!"

Wolf's face was uncertain, and he couldn't make up his mind.

In terms of strength, Wolf, who couldn't draw upon the church's power of faith, was completely unable to confront Gillespie head-on. Therefore, he could only drift around the edges of the Follower's Church's power, even having to forge a new path outside.

"Humph! If it really comes down to it, I'll just directly take people to snatch Carrie away!"

Finally, Wolf made up his mind, preparing for one last gamble while Gillespie was currently preoccupied.

At this moment, the air raid siren on the roof of the old church suddenly blared, its piercing sound echoing throughout Silent Hill.

"Huh, is it that time for the Otherworld already?"

The residents who still lived in Silent Hill immediately returned to the old church for shelter upon hearing the siren.

At the same time, Madison and Maria, who were exploring Silent Hill, also heard the sound of the air raid siren. The two looked curiously in the direction of the sound.

"Where did that air raid siren come from? Could there still be people living in this world?"

After coming out of the Silent Hill subway station, Madison and Maria quickly discovered that this desolate city seemed cut off from the outside world, with only empty buildings and endless ashes.

Madison and Maria wandered around the city for a long time without finding a way out, and then they heard the extremely unsettling air raid siren.

Then, Madison noticed the sky was darkening.

"The sky seems to be getting dark? Maria, how long have we been here?"

Maria raised her wrist to look at her watch, but the hands had stopped moving.

"I don't know! But I'm sure it hasn't been 12 hours yet!"

"Damn it! Time here is completely messed up!"

Madison and Maria entered the cave around midnight. At that time, they were very surprised that the sky over Silent Hill was bright.

As a result, after a few hours, when it should have been daylight outside, it was instead starting to get dark in Silent Hill.

At this moment, Madison and Maria also discovered that as the sky gradually darkened, the surrounding environment was also undergoing tremendous changes.

The walls, the ground, and everything around them began to rapidly decay, rust, and peel off, drifting piece by piece into the sky.

The scene was so shocking that Madison and Maria were somewhat stunned.

(The world change in the movie version is really awesome. The early game graphics were too poor to compare.)

"Could this be the Otherworld that Roy mentioned?"

Maria thought of the general situation of Silent Hill that Roy had told them before, mentioning that the surface world of Silent Hill was relatively safe, while the Otherworld was very dangerous.

"Maria, let's go! Run towards the sound of the air raid siren!"

Madison immediately reacted and pulled Maria, starting to sprint towards the old church.

If the air raid siren was someone's way of warning about the world changing, then that area should also be relatively safe.

Unfortunately, the sky completely darkened before the two could run a few steps. There wasn't a single source of light around them; it was pitch black.

Humans have an instinctive fear of the dark. Madison and Zoe didn't dare to run blindly, so they had to stop.

Because they had left in a hurry, neither of them had brought a flashlight, and the brightness of mobile phones in this era was also very limited.

Fortunately, both Madison and Maria had a smoking habit, so they both carried lighters.

The appearance of two small flames dispelled the surrounding darkness, allowing Madison and Maria to temporarily see their surroundings clearly.

On the empty street, there were now many bloody, handless, twisted humanoid creatures.

(Straight-Jacket, considered one of the most classic grunts in the game, appearing in basically every installment.)

"What are these monsters?"

Madison made a disgusted expression. These monsters were just too disgusting.

Maria also frowned, and her body split into another intangible figure that looked exactly like her.

"No matter what kind of monsters they are, it seems like they're targeting us. Let's take them out first!"

"You're right!"

Madison and Maria attacked simultaneously, instantly sending the nearest few monsters flying. Telekinesis was much more effective in group battles than the Soul Doppelganger.

However, these twisted monsters had incredibly tenacious vitality. Even after Madison repeatedly grabbed them and slammed them into the ground, they could still get back up and walk towards the two of them.

On the other hand, Maria's Soul Doppelganger, Alan, could take down a monster with just a few punches. However, Alan's monster-clearing efficiency was relatively slow, mainly because it lacked the ability to move quickly, and its footsteps weren't very fast either.

So, the two little witches started to coordinate.

Madison grabbed the monsters one by one and sent them to Alan, who then executed them one by one.

The two basically stood still and cleared out all the surrounding monsters.

"Huh, it doesn't seem as dangerous as Roy said!"

Easily dealing with the monsters made Madison a bit smug. Suddenly, the dark and oppressive Otherworld of Silent Hill didn't seem so scary anymore.

This was normal. It was like playing a survival horror game and suddenly getting a Gatling gun. Naturally, you wouldn't be afraid of those lunatics chasing you anymore.

All fear comes from insufficient firepower!

"Madison, let's hurry up and leave. I hate this pitch-black environment!"

Maria didn't feel much joy. Her past life experiences made her hate this kind of environment, and she just wanted to leave as soon as possible.

"Alright, alright! By the way, where did the air raid siren sound come from just now?"

As soon as these words came out, Maria was also stunned. The surrounding environment had changed drastically after entering the Otherworld, and there were no suitable landmarks.

At the same time, the previous battle had changed the direction they were facing, and now neither of them knew which way was the right way to go.

While the two were hesitating, they heard a heavy tremor in the ground.

"Maria, did you hear that?"

"Of course, I heard it! I'm not deaf!"

The two looked in the direction of the tremor and saw two pillar-like objects slamming into the ground, followed by a huge humanoid creature.

It was about three meters tall, its whole body bound by black tape, and where its eyes should have been were a pair of intertwined arms.

(Siam)

Madison once again made a disgusted expression.

"Ugh! Why are all the monsters here so bizarre? Aren't there any normal ones?"

Maria shook her head.

"If they looked normal, would they still be called monsters? Stop talking nonsense and let's take it down quickly!"

"So troublesome!"

Madison raised her hand, trying to control the monster in front of her like she had controlled the Straight-Jackets earlier. However, the creature only lifted slightly off the ground before falling back down.

"How can it be so heavy?"

Madison looked at the monster in surprise. Her telekinesis could easily lift a bus. Several tons of weight were effortless for her, but she couldn't even lift the monster in front of her.

"Stop standing there like an idiot and run!"

The monster, seemingly enraged by being lifted by telekinesis, charged furiously towards the two little witches.

Without Madison's ability to control the field, even if Maria's Soul Doppelganger had strong attack power, it wouldn't be able to stop them from being turned into meat paste by the monster.

This was the weakness of the two little witches. No matter how strong their abilities were, their physical bodies remained fragile. Any sniper could easily take them out from a distance.

Otherwise, how could the White House sleep soundly at night?

Maria pulled Madison, preventing her from being flattened by the monster due to her daze, and the two began to flee for their lives.

"Damn it! This guy's skin is so thick!"

During the escape, Maria tried to have her sister attack the monster, but Alan's weakness of not being able to damage tanks was once again revealed.

Just like Roy couldn't use his Soul Doppelganger to harm Jason in Crystal Lake, Alan also couldn't budge this monster, at most only causing some superficial damage.

To explain it in game terms, the Soul Doppelganger had relatively high defense penetration, but its attack power ceiling wasn't very high. It was suitable for dealing with enemies with low health, but it was very difficult to fight against tank-like enemies.

Moreover, the Soul Doppelganger's disadvantage of not having a physical body was also evident. Alan couldn't stop the monster's footsteps at all and could only watch helplessly as the monster chased after her sister.

Fortunately, this monster wasn't too fast.

However, the two didn't dare to run too fast, because running too fast might cause their lighters to go out, and then they wouldn't be able to see anything. So, they could only be chased by the monster.

At the same time, many other different types of monsters appeared around them, and the situation seemed to be getting more and more critical.

Chapter 260: I Call It Efficient

"Fuck, fuck, fuck! How can there be monsters like this?!"

Madison kept spewing out F-bombs, swatting away a smaller monster in front of her, venting her anger.

Just then, the sharp-eyed Maria spotted a basement entrance.

"Madison, I see a basement! Quick, get in!"

As the saying goes, hairy things are weak to fire, and big things are weak to doors.

The two little witches dove into the basement, and sure enough, the monster got stuck at the doorway and couldn't get in.

The other smaller monsters were also blocked, finally giving the two girls a moment to catch their breath.

"Damn it! I always thought gym class was pointless, but now I think it's really important!"

After panting for a good while, Maria's breathing finally returned to normal before she made the above statement.

Madison nodded repeatedly.

"Maria, you're so right! Having a good physique might even let us last a little longer with Roy!"

Hearing this, Maria's eyes slanted. This horny Madison could always twist the topic in directions she never expected.

After a short rest, the two little witches began to weigh their current situation.

The huge monster was still blocking the basement entrance and wouldn't leave. It seemed the two of them had no choice but to continue going down.

But the depth of this basement seemed a bit too much. Madison and Maria walked for several minutes without reaching the bottom.

"How can this basement be so deep?"

The dim underground passage made Madison feel very depressed, and she couldn't help but complain.

"It is a bit strange! Who would dig such a deep basement for no reason, and use stairs to get down?"

Maria also felt a bit odd. Combining it with what had happened before, she vaguely had some ideas in her mind.

"Looks like we're at the bottom!"

Finally, after walking for more than ten minutes, the two of them finally finished the downward staircase and arrived at a deep, dark red corridor.

A turning fan, all sorts of rusty torture instruments, and twisted bodies hanging in some places made the two little witches feel like they had arrived in a prison.

What was even more terrifying was that these bodies were still alive, twitching intermittently and letting out miserable roars.

Such a bizarre scene made Madison and Maria couldn't help but quicken their pace.

After walking a bit further, Maria suddenly heard some movement.

"Madison, listen! Can you hear that? Does it sound like footsteps?"

Because the ground in the Otherworld was either metal flooring or wire mesh, footsteps were quite obvious, so Madison also heard the sound.

"Not just that, it sounds like metal scraping, and something crawling on the ground!"

After listening intently for a while, Madison and Maria suddenly saw a blonde middle-aged woman holding a flashlight running frantically towards them.

Suddenly seeing a normal human being in the Silent Hill world stunned both little witches. And it wasn't just them; the blonde middle-aged woman who was running also froze for a moment.

But the black bugs following behind the blonde middle-aged woman and a burly figure wearing a triangular metal helmet woke her up.

(Famous scene)

"Run!"

This blonde middle-aged woman still had some conscience, reminding the two little witches as she ran towards them.

However, Madison and Maria didn't immediately turn around and run. Instead, they wanted to test the Pyramid Head's strength.

Needless to say, black bugs were crawling all over the ground. Madison's telekinesis swept over like a tornado, instantly clearing away a large portion of the black bugs.

The problem was that these black bugs seemed endless. After clearing some, a large swarm would quickly reappear.

Madison frowned slightly, feeling that it was a bit tricky.

The Maria beside her had already split off her soul double to attack Pyramid Head.

Originally, Maria thought that a monster of this standard human size should be easy to deal with. However, Alan's punches on Pyramid Head didn't even produce any feedback.

"How can this be?"

Even that giant monster from before gave some feedback when Alan hit it, but Pyramid Head didn't. Their physical attributes were simply not in the same league.

"Maria, did your sister fail again? Let me handle it!"

After clearing away some of the black bug tide, Madison began to use her ability to deal with Pyramid Head. But her telekinesis also had no effect, only slowing Pyramid Head down a bit.

"This is impossible!"

If the giant monster they encountered earlier could ignore her telekinesis due to its weight, Madison could still accept that. But now, Pyramid Head was forcibly breaking through her ability with brute strength, which she found somewhat unacceptable.

How could there be a guy with such strong power?

Oh, well, Madison did know one person like that: Roy.

Roy could also easily overpower Madison's telekinesis with his strength, but Madison had always considered Roy to be an exception.

However, the consecutive failures in the Silent Hill Otherworld made Madison and Maria realize once again that there are people beyond people, and heavens beyond heavens.

This world wasn't just one where the Supreme Witch could beat them up; there were many people stronger than them. This was precisely why Myrtle agreed to let the Apocalypse Society come and rescue Carrie.

"Aren't you going to run yet?"

The blonde middle-aged woman, who had been running with her head down, hadn't noticed what was happening behind her. Thinking Madison and Maria were scared stiff, she pulled them along.

"Madison, you don't seem to be doing too well either!"

"Shut up, Maria! There's definitely something wrong with this guy! He's so small, but his strength is even greater than that thing outside!"

"If you can't do it, you can't do it! Don't make excuses!"

The two little witches bickered as they ran behind the blonde middle-aged woman, leaving the blonde woman speechless.

At this time, the fleeing Madison and Maria noticed that the path they had come from seemed to have changed and was different from before.

Maria immediately confirmed her previous guess.

"Damn it! The space in the Otherworld seems to change!"

"What do you mean?"

"It means we never know where the road ahead will lead!"

As she spoke, the three of them found themselves in front of a large iron gate. After pushing it open and entering, they discovered it was a dead end. There was only a huge metal fan surrounded by barbed wire in front of them, with no other path to take.

"We're done for, it's a dead end!"

Madison and Maria looked at the scene before them with some despair. In the straight corridor behind them, Pyramid Head was walking towards them step by step.

The blonde middle-aged woman gritted her teeth and closed the iron gate, picked up an iron bar from the side, jammed it into the handle of the iron gate, and then waited for fate to arrive.

Soon, Pyramid Head's heavy footsteps arrived outside the iron gate. His long knife gently poked, creating a large hole in the iron gate, and countless black bugs crawled in through the hole.

"Get the hell out of here!"

Madison unleashed her ability again. She couldn't handle Pyramid Head, but could she not handle these disgusting black bugs?

Instantly, the densely packed black bugs were smashed into bug pancakes, and disgusting juice splattered everywhere.

The blonde middle-aged woman looked at Madison in shock. Only then did she realize that the two young girls beside her were not ordinary people.

It was a pity that Madison's ability couldn't stop Pyramid Head. Pyramid Head attacked the large iron gate with irresistible force. It was estimated that the large iron gate would break in a few more seconds.

"Madison, do you still remember that spell the teacher taught us a few days ago?"

"You mean we should use that? But I haven't mastered it very well!"

"Well, that's better than waiting to die, right? If we use that spell together, it might be a little useful!"

Maria licked her lips. She was still so young and didn't want to die here, so she had to take a gamble.

"You're right! If Zoe were here, it would be easier for us to release this spell with her help."

Madison once again regretted not paying attention in class, vividly illustrating what it meant to realize the value of knowledge when you need it.

"I'll count to three, and we'll release it together! One, two, three!"

At this moment, Pyramid Head smashed through the large iron gate and walked into the room with countless black bugs.

Madison and Maria simultaneously began to mobilize their magic. Under the immense pressure, the two of them actually released the magic successfully at the same time.

A large sea of fire appeared before them, engulfing the Pyramid Head and the black bug tide that had rushed in.

Pyramid Head was pushed back several steps by the sudden sea of fire, and the black bug tide instantly turned into ash of evil spirits.

However, Pyramid Head's physical attributes were strong after all, and this type of humanoid weapon's fire resistance wasn't low either. Even with blisters all over its body from the flames, it could still continue fighting.

This kind of tank with high physical resistance and high elemental resistance was simply a wizard's nightmare. Unless Madison and Maria simultaneously awakened percentage-based damage magic, they definitely wouldn't be able to defeat Pyramid Head.

"We're screwed!" ×2

Realizing that the flames couldn't kill Pyramid Head, the two little witches had no choice but to close their eyes in despair.

At this very moment, the air raid siren sounded again.

Not feeling any pain, the three of them opened their eyes at the same time and found that the originally rusty space had returned to a normal basement filled with杂物, and that Pyramid Head had disappeared.

The great ups and downs of life left all three of them collapsed on the ground, gasping for air.

"Did that thing just let us go like that?"

Madison still found it a bit unbelievable. The blonde middle-aged woman had entered Silent Hill earlier than the two little witches and had already experienced the Otherworld once, so she answered Madison.

"Those monsters that appear at night disappear during the day."

"I see."

Madison and Maria showed thoughtful expressions.

"My name is Rose Mason. Are you two superpowered?"

The blonde middle-aged woman took the initiative to greet the two little witches. She was the Rose that Roy had been with before.

Madison had already exposed her abilities, so naturally, there was no need to scheme against Rose anymore.

"No, we're two witches. I'm Madison Montgomery, and she's Maria Easley. Ms. Mason, are you a local here?"

Rose looked at Madison's face and shook her head.

"No, I'm from Massachusetts. I'm here for some business. Madison, have I seen you somewhere before?"

Maria glanced at Madison and answered Rose.

"She's a child star. You've probably seen movies she acted in before."

Rose showed a sudden realization.

"Oh, that's right! No wonder you looked so familiar! By the way, have you seen my daughter? A little girl about seven or eight years old."

The straightforward Madison showed a strange expression.

"Your daughter got separated from you? Then she's probably already dead! I don't think a little girl could survive the Otherworld!"

Hearing this, Rose immediately became agitated.

"No way! My daughter definitely won't die!"

Maria tugged at Madison. Saying her daughter was dead in front of her mother was really a bit much.

Madison also realized she had said the wrong thing and quickly covered her mouth.

At this moment, the three of them simultaneously heard a series of clear laughter from a little girl. Turning their heads, they saw a purple shadow flicker past the basement door, and Rose immediately chased after it.

"Sharon!"

Madison and Maria exchanged glances.

"Should we follow her?"

"We don't know where to go anyway, so why don't we follow her and see!"

So, the two little witches followed Rose's footsteps, continuing to explore this city shrouded in fog and ashes.

The scene returned to Roy. He had already arrived with Zoe at the outskirts of the New Centralia Cathedral. It had become like a fortress, with the cultists setting up a large number of roadblocks to block intruders.

At the same time, countless cultists holding torches and firearms were patrolling back and forth outside the cathedral.

"Roy, there are so many people, how are we going to get in?"

"How else are we going to get in? Head-on, of course!"

"Huh? Are you serious?"

Zoe looked at Roy with great surprise, not expecting this answer.

"Of course, I'm serious! Zoe, you stay here, I'll be right back!"

After speaking, Roy's pupils emitted a faint blue glow, clearly indicating that he had entered Ghost Wolf form.

Then, the Fear Domain unfolded. A terrifying aura, as if from ancient times, swept over all the cultists present. Most of them fell into terrifying illusions, and some of the more timid ones even died of fright.

Roy opened his Eyes of Judgment and directly took out firearms from his inventory, starting a massacre.

All the people present were the most fanatical cultists. Not a single one was a good person. Killing them all was not a problem.

As for the firearms in the inventory, they were seized during the Gospel Sanitarium incident. Roy had kept them after seizing them because he didn't have a channel to sell them.

After all, Wade was just an unlucky chemistry student. It was impossible for him to sell firearms.

After a round of crazy slaughter, killing nearly half of the cultists, some of them regained consciousness and began to fight back with weapons.

It was a pity that the individual firearms in the cultists' hands wouldn't even be enough to tickle Roy, let alone injure him.

However, getting hit by bullets would still damage his clothes. Roy didn't have Superman's kind of bio-field and couldn't protect his clothes.

So, to avoid ending up looking like a beggar after this fight, Roy then unleashed the Lust Domain.

The effect was remarkable!

The cultists who had just experienced the Fear Domain were immediately controlled by lust.

This wasn't the end of it. To increase efficiency, Roy also released Touch of Darkness.

Five tentacles each held a gun, plus the one in Roy's hand, firing six guns simultaneously.

Roy: I call it efficient!
