Welcome back everyone! It has been a bit but we're back with an update!
We're happy to report that Julian's PC is back up and running, so work streams will be continuing on Twitch every Tuesday and Thursday! You can click here to visit the stream page. Julian will be showing what art he's currently working on for our projects. It took a couple of weeks in November to get the new PC fully setup (installing softwares, drivers, etc) but everything seems to be working!
We did have a bit of a hiccup with our schedule with the PC downtime, but we've made a roadmap for ourselves heading into 2025 and what our priorities are going to be. As we continue work on the rhythm game - we'll also be finishing up Trigger Treat for a 2025 release!
While there were plans of expanding Trigger Treat into a larger scale project, we've decided to instead go through with the original game's twin-stick design and finalize what we had there (considering the game was nearly finished when it was initially in development under a publisher).

Since we want to keep up momentum and be sure people have more things to play - we've been readying Trigger Treat for a planned release of 2025. While the game will be returning to its twin-stick roots, we'll still be adding some additional polish to the game to improve what we had designed recently.
( Character sprites are being redone to be slightly larger with a bit more grit. )
The game has been carried over into a new engine that runs much more stable, as well as a lot of tweaks that have gone towards the scoring system as well as core gameplay. We'll be touching up artwork in certain cases, but mostly working with the assets we had from our previous builds.
In the coming months you can expect more details about Trigger Treat, although be warned - there will be SPOILERS on occasion. Work streams will mostly be focused around Trigger Treat - which will ALSO contain SPOILERS!
( Here's a higher quality version of the results screen from the rhythm game. )
We'll still be moving the rhythm game ahead while working on Trigger Treat, a lot of our focus recently going towards the soundtrack. One of the major musicians we had contacted reached back out and we're in a process of figuring out what can be done/used for the project.

Having Julian's PC up and running again means more art can get finalized for the rhythm game's interface, and we've also been working with our artists to figure out some finalized looks for the menus as well as the notes that will be used in-game.
The game has some menus laid out using our built-in scripting format, and we'll hopefully have some early passes at menus finished up in the next month or two here. With the holidays approaching, the artists we've been working with will be on break - but Julian and I will still be at work. Be sure to tune in over on Twitch every Tuesday and Thursday to see what we're currently working on!
We do apologize for the downtime in the past couple of months, but during that time we kept moving ahead as best as we could regardless - and now things are back on track. Next year will be leading towards some much larger updates here, and we'll have a lot to share by the mid-point in 2025 when we start going more public about Trigger Treat's development.
Hopefully you all had a good 2024, and we're hoping to really make next year into something special with both Trigger Treat and some early samplings of the rhythm game. All the support has helped us immensely over all this time, and it has been fantastic finally having more of a team on-board to move things ahead. Expect more details on Trigger Treat soon, and we'll be sure to share a demo for silver backers before the game launches.
Thank you all again, and happy holidays!
