I can not believe it has only been a month since the last status update. I thought I had been neglecting to write updates but in reality, I've gotten so much done I thought it must have at least been two months since finishing the draft.
So to get right to business: things are going significantly faster than they had with the Oblivion project. In only a month I have gone from a final draft announced to having 7 hours of audio recording done, and 5 hours of the rough cut completed.
Now I want to be clear that there is zero guarantee this momentum will continue, only that I've had an extremely good month. One aspect of this is that I have created a spreadsheet for progress tracking. The premise of the spreadsheet is to take all of the known objective aspects of the project and make projections about length and progress.
I also put up a bulletin board for keeping track of notes as well as a timeline of the next 5 months. Basically, it's become a race between the line marking the date, and the lines marking my progress on audio recording, editing, the rough cut, and the final cut.
I am still keeping the runtime and several aspects close to my chest. This video will take longer than the Oblivion project because it's much bigger. But I have also gotten way better at doing this. I'm keeping my ambitions in check and I'm not overworking myself.
