A side story! Some years before the events of our story, agents from Hales are sent to the manor of Duke D’Eigol to chase down rumors that he has been holding onto a weapon of great power for the Hodai Empire. The group discovers that the weapon was given to the Duke by Lord General Hesterak, an imposing dragon allander of some infamy. Following on details they've picked up, the group works their way through a hedge maze and into a warehouse where they find the weapon they were looking for, and save for a surprise twist at the end, they get away with their lives...
