A Very, VERY early WIP of a large Lombax animation project (I know it's not much, please read description)
I know there's not much to look at here...at all; it's currently just Kit by herself with some basic animation work done; so what's happening here?Well, not long ago I decided to hunker down and actually animate something for once in so long (not this; a different, smaller animation with Ratchet and Rivet that I'm working on alongside this), and what first started off as plans for a smaller animated loop evolved into something much, much bigger.I've done some loops and smaller-scale projects in the past; so far only one of them features any sort of dialogue. I've been doing this for so long, that the decision came to try making something much, much bigger; something more ambitious, something that pushes the limit for me.So what you're seeing here is me attempting to animate a walkcycle for Kit (I really wish there was a way to extract animations from Rift Apart and use them in Blender, but there's no tools that allow that at the moment), as she and Clank will be featured in the intro, which will serve as the framing device for the broader animation (which will feature Ratchet and Rivet as the main stars, sharing a very romantic post-game moment in Nefarious City; the plan is to provide a bit of build-up that leads into the main event, with plenty of dialogue to supplement it (and don't worry, the dialogue isn't going to be cringy; I will make sure of that). I have no idea how long this will take me (I not only have to animate some things I don't have much experience with - along with some more complicated movements from all characters - but I have to also set up Nefarious City itself, piece-by-piece, which will take an exceptional amount of time - but if I work on it regularly, I could be done with it in no time). This is something I really want to make and actually get it working. I'll probably improve my animation skills as I work on this, so that's one potential upside!
Wish me luck everyone; I'll probably give periodic updates (nothing animated, but it'll be storyboard-like updates as I get more and more done.)
I'll have more stuff in general coming soon. Thank you all so much for your support, I don't say that near as much as I should. I hope you all have a good day :)
