About the ability to save "mid-conversation"

As i move into the programming for the next update, I'm wondering how people would feel about the possible removal of the ability to save in the middle of conversations for the game. If I was to remove the feature, it would allow me to improve the performance of the game, and make it easier to run on older devices or PCs. Please let me know what you think!
