Wild Shape page poll - adapt to 2024 or not?

DESCRIPTION

The druid is the last remaining class from the 2024 PHB to implemented in the 5.5e (2024) sheet (yes, it is officially 5.5e now). It has this awesome Wild Shape feature for which the sheet even has a special page. But because of this special page and the changes to the Wild Shape rules, particularly features that improve the beast form, druid has been the hardest to implement. I very much expected this; hence it is the last class remaining. It is 80% done, but I’m at a crossroads how to proceed with it and would like your input.

In the new Wild Shape rules one no longer adopts the HP and HD from the beast but instead the druid gains Temporary Hit Points and uses its own HP and HD. This means that the Hit Points and and Hit Dice sections on the Wild Shape page aren’t relevant any more. Simultaneously, the new features granting once per turn bonus damage on attacks takes up extra space in the Traits & Features section of a Wild Shape. I think it would be interesting to update the Wild Shape pages to accommodate these changes, thus I’ve made a mock-up of new Wild Shape entries.

Moving stuff around like this in an Acro-form is never simple or quick, because most of the changes regarding form fields can’t be done via script. For example, setting the tab order is a completely manual drag-and-drop process.

The Colourful version has many more changes in the order of things as well as having many more form fields to deal with because everything that can change colour is a form field. Thus, implementing this on the Colourful versions is a lot more work.

The changes in the header, have a box for Temp HP and Known Forms instead of Max Usages, is going to be implemented regardless of this vote. Those changes are essential for the new code to function.

A previous poll (just barely) decided not to change anything about the layout of the PDFs. This would go against that decision. Thus, I’m coming to you to decide if I should proceed implementing these changes or not. Or perhaps only change the Printer Friendly versions (takes less time) or perhaps hold off with these changes until the 2024 content is more complete.

You decide!

What about the web-app?See here for a FAQ about it. Yes, this is in development, but not ready for publication. Its first release won’t include many of the additional pages that the PDF has, such as the companion, wild shape, or background pages. Those will come later. Initial focus is on the core, such as class features, attacks, and spells.

How much delay are we talking? The new Printer Friendly Wild Shape page should cost me no more than two days to implement. The Colourful version is probably more like a week, because those have many more form fields and there are two different sizes of Colourful sheets (A4 & Letter) that both need separate attention. The above shown mock-ups are just that. They still need fine-tuning to be compatible with the rest of the sheet.

The options are presented from least time consuming to most.
