Without giving away the ghost on this chapter, I will say that this story has proved itself one of my favorites to write, and I think it's certainly my best work set inside of a brainwashing facility. Stories like Two Ladies and Stoplight are still ones I'm very fond of, but this has been a lot of fun in terms of really properly showing exactly how the process goes down, and what it can involve (Happy Hills does operate differently, but this is how Sunny Skies works at least). It's been great fun, and has allowed for both some links to other stories (Brad being the son of Dottie Melman from Bet On Black) and shoutouts to works I'm a fan of (Nurse Madaerie being a reference to Eia Madaerie from the story Around Her Fingers by Clairanette).
