As the new year gets underway, little of note is happening in the Bass scene, meaning there isn't much to report on for a Big Bass Bulletin.
What I'm doing today in its place is a variation of something I like to do at the beginning of every year - look ahead to potential significant Bass releases.
For this particular post, I'm gonna be going over 10 albums that could drop from big modern Dubstep artists in 2026. This is all speculative and not releases we know are happening such as those from Peekaboo and Digitist, for example.

Zomboy
Of all the potential modern dubstep albums to come in 2026, this is the one I'm most excited for. I can't help but think about the ending of 'Royal Blood' and its lack of finality, how it seems to bulldoze into the beginning of another track that's yet to be released. The string of single releases from him in the recent past, as well as the strong 2025 Brostep revival, also point towards a grand Zomboy return - and possible first album since his 2014 debut The Outbreak. We have yet to get a 10-track-plus project whilst his production's been super refined, and in combination with his scenic, multi-genre approach to making Bass music, we could be looking at one of the scene's statement projects for the coming year.
Xilent
This comes in at a very close second in terms of my most highly-anticipated modern Dubstep albums for 2026. If you'll remember, a new website was launched in the middle of last year by Xilent, containing a cryptic message that didn't require much reading into. I doubt this was done with 2027 in mind, he wouldn't have wanted to blue ball his fans to that extent having done so for nearly 7 years already - his last album We Are Dust came out in 2019. So one can only conclude that 2026 - amidst the many other rumours of Xilent returning - will be the year of his significant comeback. I do feel, however, that anyone could be equally sure and unsure of this one happening, so let's wait and see.
Leotrix
This is an easy third in terms of modern Dubstep albums I'm looking forward to this year, and very much expecting to happen. A whole long form project of Leotrix's beautifully radiant Future Riddim sound, with bits of Bass genre experimentation here and there? Yes please and thank you one million times. I get especially excited about this one because I'm 100% sure it wouldn't just be bangers and hits, but also a serious story and interconnection between the tracks. Leotrix is straight up one of the best Dubstep artists of the last 5 years, his style deserves an album. And in 2026 I can see it happening.
Skrillex
Huh? Another Skrillex album? Yes, and this one will be his most Dubstep-heavy yet, I'm putting my rented flat on it. I can't help but think back to that monster Instagram story he shared last year, filled to the brim with new Dubstep IDs, and wonder whether his next big project (at least 10 full tracks) will consist predominantly of that. He's free from the Atlantic Records straitjacket, entering 2026 off the back of huge Dubstep collabs with Moody Good and ISOxo, and clearly keen to make that genre the main part of his musical identity again. This LP could be biblical in its collab roster and number of tracks, so be wary of being knocked off your seat when the tracklist drops. That's just my prediction!
Barely Alive
Brostep's best duo of all time to drop their third album in 2026? Yeah, I think so. We got a slew of gnarly, gurgly releases from them last year, and more than most artists coming back to that style, they seem to be owning it with a consistency in sound usage and track structure that launches fans right back to the good old days of 2014-16. They've already proven they can make fantastic LPs full of variety that also take the listener on a story. Pair that with everything they've learnt in their 10+ years of releasing up until now, and you've got a recipe for something emphatic for the coming year. I can very much see this happening.
Moody Good
Fresh off the release of his new ID-stacked mix, as well as the album of remixes he put out last year, Moody Good seems to be gearing towards something mighty on the original front for 2026. This would technically be a first album since 2017's classic Mtgfyt, though some call that a mix more than an album, in which case you'd have to go back to 2014 and his self-titled debut. That's a fair amount of time, and just as the early modern Dubstep style feels like it's properly kicking back into motion, there wouldn't be a better time for the London-born producer to stamp his authority as one of the very best this scene has to offer. This release would shake the scene like few others, in my opinion.
Getter
Hear me out on this one. Yes, I know he's barely got back into Dubstep releasing since his return, and will likely see 2026 as a year for easing himself back into the scene more following the 2019 Visceral debacle. He's more likely to put out an EP before an album if we're being completely realistic. But I see how prolific he is in his idea-making, how many producers he's willing to collaborate with, the good space he seems to be in at the moment, and I can envision him dropping a big out-of-nowhere surprise project to completely dominate the scene for a few weeks - or even months - upon its release. Again, this isn't one I'm expecting as much as others on this list, but I can definitely still see it, and that's more than I can say for most other modern Dubstep musicians.
Dr. Ozi
This is another one that I'm far from sure on, but can also see happening. He's just embarked on a new release cycle, with a bold aesthetic running through the promo and a good regularity to his posting again. His Hard Tooth Records label also seems to have a good momentum to it at the moment, so it feels like he's doing all the significant music things he wants to do at once. I do think there'll be a big project from him this year, the only question is how many tracks it'd be. He's done the long EP thing several times, but has yet to go the full stretch and drop an album's-worth of music as one collection. Could 2026 be the year of the debut Dr. Ozi LP? Again, I could see it happening. And that would be quite the storyteller, let me tell you.
Dubloadz
Following a 2025 of 1min-snippets and Soundcloud exclusives, I imagine 2026 will be the year that Dubloadz releases something much more official and statement-making. This could also be a situation of label EP before anything resembling an album, but at the same time he loves launching himself into that length of project, and so an LP doesn't feel completely off the cards. Many fans have been satisfied with his recent output, just to hear his animated, cartoonish Dubstep style in full flow once again. But as much as re-entering the scene with demos and half-baked ideas makes sense as a way of acclimatising to the scene again, I still feel like he has a lot more to give. And with the album format being so popular in Bass music at the moment, I can absolutely see Dubloadz making that step this year.
Tisoki
And finally, I want to put forward an artist that I didn't expect to come back into Dubstep as strongly as he has, and who I can see using his 2025 releases to propel himself into the album format again - Tisoki. Few can make modern Dubstep as clean and tight-knit as the Scottish artist, and his chameleonic approach to production allows him to harness trend changes well and strike while the iron's hot. Once more, an EP could be the play for him, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he put together a 9/10-track-plus project over the course of the year. He always does the sound and genre justice, and to get a full LP of that from him as the style roars back into prominence would be quite the treat. I'm hopeful for it in 2026!

And I'm gonna add one at the end here that I don't want to happen at all but think very much will - Borgore.
I just know he'll drop an extensive Dubstep project of some sort but I'm here saying: no, please no. We do not want it.
