Hello all! Making my way back from Rampage currently, so the weekly bulletin will be with you all tomorrow.
In the meantime, I wanted to share these pictures I took with Fox Stevenson, who I had a very meaningful conversation with just yesterday. We talked a lot about how hook-making needs to become a goal for artists in Dubstep again, that the genre needs properly infectious music on a consistent basis again. We generally agreed that natural instrumentation could play a far bigger role in Bass music creation too.
We also talked about my review of his 2025 album Sunk Cost Fallacy, where he agreed with one of my main points that the choruses could've had a bit more staple Fox Stevenson catchiness to them. After that we discussed my placing of Sunk Cost Fallacy as my favourite Bass album of last year, and how much the 'Interlude Canyon' / 'One Horse Town' couplet moves me. It was the kind of 20-minute conversation that you don't get too often in this scene, and so left me feeling very enriched afterwards. Safe to say, Stan is a truly great guy who it's great to have a good music natter with!
See you all on here again tomorrow ππ
(P.S. we made 'T' signs in one of the pictures for 'Tico', a Fox track I showed my little brother which he has loved for years)
