Barnaby is having a burnout.
He won’t eat or sleep until he can draw, even if it’s just a single stroke on an empty canvas.
He feels like he’s dying. The only thing keeping him company is this mystery entity… a living cloak with six arms.
It can cook!

You might have noticed I’ve been less active than usual over the past few weeks. That’s because I’ve been experimenting with a short film project called: THE VISITOR.

The Visitor is a very personal project that I’m not even sure what it will become yet, and I’m not quite sure what to tell you guys about it XD. But the idea of a burnout artist desperately trying to draw even a single stroke on a blank canvas has really intrigued me (well, we’ve all been there!).
Above is the proof of concept of how it looks and feels.
I want it to have slow pacing, with a raw and rough limited animation style like a Peanuts TV special, but in black and white. The mood and tone will be eerie, melancholy, and haunting (it’s a ghost story, after all! 👻)

Then we have this Barnaby.
He’s gonna be the version that’s more exclusive and more explicit, just for us later <> <>

Now that the proof of concept trailer is done and I’m satisfied (it feels so good to finally finish something!) I’m gonna draw the storyboard and see how it goes. It’s gonna take a while, so I’ll be working on other comics alongside it ❤️
