G'day everyone, hope all has been well. It's halfway through 2023 now and I've got a lot of plans for upcoming months for all things Square Eyed Jak including reviews, game testing, live streams AND PATREON UPDATES!!! So have a read and let's all get up to speed! 🤘

Recent Holiday) But first... I took a little holiday recently. Went to Sydney for the first time, saw the bridge and Opera House and caught up with mates. Was a really good time, feeling quite refreshed but if you're wondering about a lack of videos, that's a big reason why. Alright so what can you expect to see on the channel in coming months???
Upcoming Content) So as usual, everything is subject to change with upcoming content but everything in bold is 100% in the works! So keep that in mind as I spoil all of the ideas brewing inside my crazy mind.
- Crash Team Rumble Review - most likely the next thing to be uploaded
- Toy Story (Mega Drive) Review - ready to film
- Toy Story 2 (PS1) Review- ready to film
- A HUGE Game Testing FINALE EPISODE!!! - Playing as much as I can in a single sitting before switching over to LIVESTREAM testing as the standard
- Working on Hawktober! - I've got quite a lot planned this year so I'll be starting work on this in July, with the goal to have a large chunk completed by late August!!!
- Skylanders 3ds Reviews! - I've finally got my 3ds capture sorted so I'm just getting the last few bits and pieces I need, however I also want to replay the console games for 2 reasons: upgrade to better capture, refresh my memory (and possibly stream)
- Chipping away at an Every Level Ranked for late 2023/start of 2024
In the meantime I've also been finding a good rhythm in simply trying out some more games for fun which could later turn into full videos. Single one off episodes, as well as some multiple part series reviews. I would also like to do the early 3d GTA games before years end but at this stage... that might be something for early 2024. Not sure yet!

Live Streaming) Some of you may have caught my Twitch streams earlier in the year where I've been testing out the platform for the first time. But honestly fuck Twitch. Along with all the recent drama, I'm just not much of a fan of the platform.
So the plan is to live stream to my second channel Squares+ which you should subscribe to for notifications and stream playback. The idea of building this up as a second channel is simply to not negatively effect the main channel. There may still be a few random streams to the main channel during the adjustment phase but I'll mostly stream on the second channel at random days and times, purely when I'm in the mood.
Planned streaming content:
- Game Testing LIVE
- Complete Playthroughs of different games (both new to me and familiar)
- Possibly some multiplayer stuff like Crash Team Rumble etc. or playing games with friends or my partner Donnie on occasion

PATREON UPDATES!!!) Alright so I've been hearing feedback on the suggested changes to tiers and pricing, done a lot of thinking and I feel like I'm ready to begin rolling out CHANGES!
$1 - Tip Jar: Nothing is changing here, there will still be monthly update posts regarding the channel, credits in videos and access to a Discord role.
$2 - Behind the Scenes: THIS TIER IS DEAD!!! Anyone currently pledged at this amount will still have access to all previously released content perks here on Patreon, however this tier can NO LONGER be backed.
$3 - Early Access (NEW): I am reducing the cost of Early Access to a lower price as I want to make this perk more accessible to people. It's a perk I can offer with zero additional work and it's always been the most popular perk. However that will potentially create a huge cut my Patreon earnings, which is why...
$5 - EXCLUSIVE Access (NEW): ALL CURRENT EARLY ACCESS BACKERS will AUTOMATICALLY be upgraded to a new tier which offers both Early Access AND access to NEW EXCLUSIVE per episode additions including:
- Short segments
- Making-of Behind the Scenes posts
- Short Let's Play Clips
- Watch-along self reviews
And anything else that I might come up with, I'll be able to provide one exclusive per episode.
For example: The Toy Story episodes, both of those will come with an extra 3 minute short talking about the Gameboy versions which will only be available at this pledge level, however... not all of these exclusives will be reviews. it could be a short let's play of me attempting the most annoying level in the game or a Making-of post for more fleshed out episodes as I've done at the $2 tier the last 4 years, I'm hoping this mix of exclusive content will interest people to stick around and continue backing this tier, while also enticing those on the fence to upgrade or even pledge for the very first time. 😊
I will be rolling these changes out over the course of July and adjusting reward perks and pricing so stay tuned, you will be notified when these changes take effect.
Future plans also include a merch tier/loyalty program coming hopefully before the end of 2023!

Closing Thoughts) Alright that's a lot of info, all you really need to worry about is that new videos are definitely on the way, I'm hoping to live stream more regularly and finally, your Patreon rewards will be getting a much needed overhaul.

My primary focus for the channel the rest of 2023 is simply staying consistent, more regular content and working towards those larger projects people expect to see from Square Eyed Jak.
