Hello,
as mentioned yesterday when posting about the Dutch Modular Festival video we need you and your sounds! For those that have been around here for a while, or have followed the videos you may have seen previous Patreon community audio submissions appearing in videos. Well I have a couple of videos coming up where I'd like to widen the breadth of sounds, show off your sounds and give you chance to hear your audio through the modules.
HEAD BANGER
First up there's a video coming soon on the Setonix & RAR Head Banger, a distortion module based on the classic Boss heavy metal pedal. This should be a really fun one, from cleaner crunch, feedback, pushing EQ into clipping and all out smashed saturation. If you'd like to hear your sounds in that video, through the module. GET SUBMITTING AUDIO, details below.
As a note for Head Banger and anything else, these can be non modular, guitars, acoustic instruments, DAW produced layered drones, your grandpops one off valve drum machine ... I'm all for trying a range of things.
ESU'S TRIFECTA
Then there's also the new triple FX and debut module from Ali Modular Esu's Trifecta. This is a stereo FX processor where you build an up to 3 FX chain and I'd like to send your audio through it. Be it nice plucky melodies begging for delay and reverb or beats looking for some subtle (or not so subtle) mangling. Again get creating your audio and send it in for use in the video.
PREVIOUS COMMUNITY AUDIO EXAMPLES
As this will be new to some people and as a refresher here's how things will appear in the video. Just watch the initial video previews on these links and you'll notice examples with PATREON and user names on screen. I take your audio, send it into the module, record the patch - typically with no talking so your audio serves as a musical interlude between the demo patches I walk through - and then credit you on screen with the name/username as you choose.

HOW TO SUBMIT
I need wav files at 48kHz and 16 or 24 bit. Anything other than those specifics will be ignored as I don't have time when working on a video to get into exporting and converting files.
You can submit audio by emailing a link (NOT AN ATTACHED FILE) to [email protected] google drive or dropbox links are good.
In the email you send me with the link to the file I also need to know the name you'd like crediting under, be it a real name, username, artist name and also send me a link that you'd like me to use in the video description. That could be a YouTube channel, soundcloud, band camp, Instagram, personal site etc. Like incorrect audio file settings not including that information will likely lead to me not using it.
Also if you can mark the BPM used (would be handy for clock syncing things) in the file name that would be handy. Example "DivKid beat for Head Banger 130bpm.wav"
Also if you're wanting to hear your audio through one of the two modules mentioned specifically do say which one. These audio files will be added to a folder of previous submissions where I can dip in and try things for future videos too. So again please don't submit something you're not happy with me using. I also can't use any copyright controlled material that's going to flag the video and cause issues on YouTube.
Final thing - submitting audio doesn't guarantee it's use, I'll try things, see what works and see how things come together for each video. It may get used in the future for something else, it might not.
Final final v2.0 final - no set deadline at present, I'm working through other things before these videos but ideally I'll start getting your audio within the next week to two weeks, the sooner the better. I'll post again with a deadline when I have one.
Previous little projects like this have been good fun, it's a really nice way to share and show the community and the range of audio it adds to a video I really enjoy, plus you get to hear your own sounds through something you're interested in. So win win I think.
As always any questions just ask, get making some patches thanks!
