Your sounds in the 4ms LEQA // Community Audio Project
DESCRIPTION

SHORT VERSION // send in your audio by Sunday the 28th of June to possibly hear your sounds in the new 4ms LEQA and be in the demo video.

Hello ello, hope you're good.

For today's post I'm opening up a (quick turn around) community audio project, this time for the 4ms LEQA. For those that missed it at Superbooth or in the coverage, here's a Sonic State video from Superbooth with Ross (of Moffenzeef Modular, now at 4ms) who designed the LEQA.

But put simply the LEQA -the levelling EQ amplifier - is a module designed to be an end of chain style processor with stereo processing (stereo width on stereo material and mono to stereo functions), there's a simple to use optical compressor inspired by the classic studio piece the LA-2A and EQ inspired by the Neve 1073 and a couple of saturation stages too. I'd love to have your audio to use in the video as we've done with other videos before.

COMMUNITY AUDIO PROJECTS - WHAT IS IT? WHAT YOU NEED TO DO?

As a community audio project I'm opening up the chance to get your audio in the video as we've done many times before now with videos like those for the Cosmic Debris, Iroi, Trails, Samples II, Chorus 6, DYNAMICENGINE ... and probably some that I've missed.

The process is simple, if you want the chance to hear your sounds processed by the module and to be in the video (with full credit to you) you need to send in some audio. I need that audio NO LATER than Sunday the 28th of June (end of this week).

If your audio suits the video I'll film an example with it for the demo then I'll add an overlay with text in the video and possibly verbally give you a shout out for the audio too. I'll also add your name and a link of your choice to the video description.

I need a stereo wav format audio file that is 16 or 24 bit and 48kHz. If the file doesn't match those specs it won't be used.

Send a download link to your file to [email protected] (Dropbox or Google Drive style services please) and please state the name (real name, artist name etc) that you would like to be referred to as in the video and a link you would like mentioned in the video description to link back out to a page of your choice (YouTube, Instagram, Website etc). Your sounds need to be copyright free and NOT flag the YouTube copyright strike system for previous use.

I do have a bit of a library of sounds from previous submissions so as usual I may dip back into those for the demo too.

Beyond that - any questions just ask. With what the LEQA offers I can imagine synth voice lines with or without FX, soundscapes and loops, beats and drum mixes or whole stereo mixes working well.

COMING UP

The LEQA is releasing soon (I don't actually have it yet, should be here very soon) and I'm looking forward to it. New video on a new module that was on show (quietly on show at least) at Superbooth tomorrow. Lots more to come soon with new videos and a new 20 Questions interview. See you in the Discord and as always thank you for the support!
