Things as always have been busy, like many we've been melting in the heatwave and there's a few things for this post so I'll get right to it and section things out for all that's to come.
4MS LEQA // GET YOUR SOUNDS IN IT
First of all the planned window to submit your sounds for the 4ms LEQA demo video (coming soon) is now closed. However if you wanted to send something in for the video I can leave it open for a couple of extra days (let me know if you're sending something and haven't been able to yet) as that release has been pushed back slightly. All the info is on this post.
I'm also (as always) open to hearing what you'd like to see in the demo, so if you have burning questions, or casual curiosities feel free to leave a comment or let us know in the Discord what you'd like to see in the video. The video is coming very soon (next week is the plan).
20 QUESTIONS // BARTOLA INSTRUMENTS
Online now is a new 20 Questions series interview this time with Ale from Bartola Instruments. He's an interesting chap who's had decades in the valve hi fi space making valves act as cleanly as possible and then he moved into Eurorack and modular synths and he's over 100 "prototype" modules where he's pushing valves into their non-linearity and character. I say prototypes in quotations marks as these aren't prototypes of the same thing, or a handful of things, he's been making an absolute mass of modules in very small "prototype" batches and using those among friends and with musicians. I've been lucky to try some of those over the years and enjoy Ale's work so it's great to see him launching fully into creating Bartola Instruments as a company and launching their first module 'Swell' very soon. Which leads to the next point ... but I'll first just say it's been a pleasure to start this 20 Questions series of interviews, check out the latest one HERE and all of them HERE.
UPCOMING VIDEO PREMIERE // SWELL
As an early bit of notice - date for the diaries! - this coming Sunday the 5th of July at 8pm UK/BST we have a video premiere coming for Swell the new module from Bartola Instruments. It's a stupidly good sounding module (first patch video with it here) that sits at this east vs west coast middle ground, Bartola call it a "harmonic filter" in that it can add harmonics as well as remove them. There's a lovely character to the cleaner side of it but there's a while world of valve sculpting that I've really enjoyed. Looking forward to sharing this one and hanging out in the live chat. I'll remind you as we get to the end of the week of course.
NEW VIDEO TOMORROW & IN CLOSING
There's a new video coming tomorrow, with something that begs to be touched. Or rather it quite literally doesn't work unless you touch it.
