Hello to all my loyal Patreon subscribers.
Today, I’d like to address one topic that has been coming up more often lately and has raised some questions. It concerns content availability after purchasing the Extended Tier.
Some of you were surprised or concerned that after joining the Extended Tier, you don’t see the content from the Basic Tier. I’d like to clearly explain this once and for all and put the matter to rest.
In reality, the situation is much simpler (and far less dramatic) than it might seem. Patreon unfortunately has a rather limited interface and does not allow me to set up tiers in a way where a higher tier automatically includes the content of lower tiers — even though that would logically make sense. For some reason, Patreon simply doesn’t support this.
Because of that, I’ve chosen my own solution that allows me to keep the tiers stable and worthwhile:
Every collection I add to Patreon has its own version for each tier.
Basic Tier includes a shorter / simplified version of the collection
Extended Tier includes a longer, expanded version with more content
So there’s no need to worry about missing out or that the Extended Tier wouldn’t be worth it. On the contrary — the Extended Tier always offers more content, it’s just structured separately due to Patreon’s technical limitations.
This setup is purely a technical matter and does not reduce the value of any tier in any way.
Thank you all for your understanding, support, and patience.
