Thank you for helping a creator to keep creating!
At the beginning of July, I said I would release an update for Please Fur My Wife on August 01.
I must postpone the release date until the end of next month—September 01. To give you a story that builds upon all that has been established before will need more time.
The hard part of game development, I've discovered, is not in introducing characters but in fleshing them out: Connecting them to a bigger story and making every girl feel unique and desirable.
The next update (v0.2.0) is halfway done, and you've many cool things to look forward to:
- All girls previously met will have their own scene(s) with character development.
- The presentation is shifting away from sprites to CG—a greater amount of art.
- Previous player choices will be honored and explored.
- More simple animations, movement.
Since the game has over 15 characters now and each one needs screentime to feel alive, you can see how the development time has grown.
But that's a good problem to have.
The first week of July I dedicated to reading “Picture Perfect Posing” by Roberto Valenzuela and practicing lessons from it on a mini Korra & Gwen Photoshoot comic. That comic is now uploaded to the Mega.co link.
Please look forward to a very compelling “Please Fur My Wife” update in September—the game is really becoming something special.
