Gray was originally going to be one of the antagonists, but I kind of like how he turned out: the big buff shy boy who has a huge crush on the main character but can't say it.
I wanted his expressions to be basically unreadable, and I think Jonas has managed to make him both cute and unreadable at the same time.
In the above example the only difference is clenched paws.
Don't you just love his cute little smile
I really like shy boys... and Gray is no exception.
Fun fact, Gray is called "Gray" even though he should be "Grey" in New Zealand English, that's because I use the character "a" to represent him in code, and "a" sounds closer to "Grey/Gray" than "e" does. Besides, "g" was taken by "green".
