The past month has been a bit bumpy, but we're trucking along! At the moment, I am working on the commission batch that I took on a couple of weeks, so I will postings lots of juicy art soon!
And for those who are asking, I don't have plans to open comms regularly. I only opened them recently due to an emergency that is thankfully settled. I'd like to focus on my projects and personal art. That said, the future is full of surprises, and there will be a day when I will open commissions again. Just don't expect a date on which I do so.
In the realm of Bun Bash I am still working on it, though I set it aside briefly to get these comms out of the way. But I'll be back on the grind once they are done! Last month I've been thinking more about how I want to approach a long project like this. Primarily I've been working on a chapter by chapter basis, releasing it once it's done before planning for the next one. Which I am not a fan of. Being a one-man team, it takes forever to get new chapters to readers since there's such a wide production gap in between them. I don't want to keep making a bit fanfare about a single chapter before going silent for another long period.
So here's my potential plan: I work on multiple chapters back to back. It will take longer than initially planned of course, but the aim is to have a shorter more consistent release rate later. Plus it would give me more time to make sure the comic looks nice! For my supporters, I will still be releasing WIPs and pages over time, but I really want to aim towards a more consistent release schedule.
I will still be releasing other art regularly as I normally do. It will just take a bit longer to get this comic project out. I apologize for those who have been at the edge of their seat waiting the next chapter to come out. It's just that I'd rather get more chapters out to you later than to just give you one now and make you wait again for the next one. I hope you can stick with me a little longer!
This series means a lot to me. It's very different from the comics I've done before, and so I'm learning a lot as I'm working on it. It's thanks to your support here that I'm able to even work on it and release it for free, and I hope to keep working on it and see it to the end.
