I actually hadn’t heard WA DA DA until I scripted Shooting Star, since I took a break from K-pop around the time it was released and I’m so glad I ended up discovering it! This song is an absolute banger, and the amount of quality content is great! check out the visual cam!
It’s really no surprise that their debut track is still their most-played song on YouTube and Spotify even four years later. It’s honestly a damn tragedy they never came anywhere close to replicating the success of WA DA DA with Shooting Star being the one brief moment where it felt like they might finally regain momentum… only to face the reality that Yeseo and Mashiro wasn't renewing their contract as they were recalled by the original record label.... which shortly messed it all up with poor management, creative choices, and lack of consistent promos,with ultiamtely, Yeseo leaving music for good because of it. I had a ton of fun scripting this one and spent a lot of time iteratively editing and refining it to get it to where it is now as a full S6 script. This was one of those projects where every pass just made it better.
