A scrappy-sounding song that really grew on me 🌀 Definitely a collab release that sparked a lot of conversation online, even here in the lagoon 🫠
I was initially unsure about the song at first glance, but I was already pretty excited about having all three HYBE groups do a collab. It's interesting because all three had somewhat similar early summer releases, and this collab feels like the culmination of that. I wonder if they'll diverge again moving forward—especially ILLIT, who definitely stepped away from their original sound with IT'S ME (which reminds me that I MUST return and finish that script 😂).
After a few casual listens from Spotify throwing it into my auto-generated K-pop playlists, I ended up liking it a lot more than I expected. And of course, I knew it would make a banging script 😍, so here we are!
I genuinely enjoy this script and will probably come back to it often. Unfortunately, the fancams for this song are truncated because none of the members are present for 100% of the performance, so their individual cams cut out whenever they're off stage. I didn't feel like individually splicing the script to fit every fancam, so instead I've included the 8K full-stage cam. That way I can zoom in on individual members with PotPlayer or similar software and basically turn it into an interactive fancam 😍
I'm probably going to start doing this for other releases as well because I've found myself enjoying it quite a bit.
It's also a shame there's only one music show stage—and likely won't be many more—because coordinating three groups and their entourages is probably a logistical nightmare. This feels more like a special event than one of their mainline money-maker releases that they're all busy promoting.
