DESCRIPTION

Hey guys, reporting in for another status update. I started out strong in the beginning of the month with the code to allow custom characters to be shared, and some deckbiter rebalancing, but IRL social anxiety killed my productivity for the last two weeks. All of those major events are behind me and I'll be working hard to catch up on the things I've fell behind on.

Goals for October

● More FFFme writing● New FFFme custom character encounter● Redo deckbiter interface● Release tiny sideproject focused on peril

Big Decisions

This is more about my plans and goals for the next few years rather than anything coming soon, but it's worth sharing since this is all relevant to anyone supporting me. I've decided that leaving my job is just too risky based off of recent politics. Being a full-time nsfw developer is a scary prospect especially with the recent crackdowns on adult games.Instead, I'm going to keep grinding as before and use the extra income to try seeding other game ideas that I'd like to explore, but don't have the time to directly work on. There won't be anything big to show off soon, but I've got a solid team working part-time on a unique pixelart game, a reliable coder who has been a great help with numerous games, and another artist who has been helping me develop some small prototypes.Since I used to make small flash games back in the day, I've found that tinkering on smaller games greatly reduces my anxiety and helps me learn more about the tools I'm using, which is already assisting the next Deckbiter interface update. I'll hopefully have the first minigame out this month. I've found it a lot easier to handle the bigger tasks in FFFme and Deckbiter when I also have tinier projects to ease into first. I'm still figuring out the best workflow for my productivity, but I'm finding this chapter of my flow to greatly help with stress. The smaller games will just be released free for everyone, and the bigger games will just be for supporters. As proper, all supporters will always get the full version of any of the games I'm working on or funding.

I'm going to drop a few spoilers of the stuff being worked on in the background. As a reminder, games take time. These are side-projects, and all of this art is labor intensive work done by real artists. The bigger project, which I'm just acting as a designer on, probably won't be out for two years, and the rest will just be releasing as prototypes to see if there is any interest. Since working on Deckbiter, I've made a ton of connections and friendships with artists and other devs that I'm hoping to leverage into getting more naughty games out to the world. Thank you all for helping me strive for these dreams :)
