Here’s the first preview with textures and sound added.
This is the point where the scene starts to feel much closer to the final animation. The grey viewport previews were mostly about checking motion, posing, dynamics, and camera angles, but adding textures and voices makes a huge difference to the overall mood.
For the voices, I got Bordeaux Black to voice Madelyn and Gina Galore to voice Gwen. I also spoke with Zaggatar a bit about how Gwen should sound, and the direction was something close to that sultry, glamorous Jessica Rabbit kind of tone. I think Gina captured that really nicely.
Bordeaux also absolutely nailed Madelyn’s delivery. I wanted her to sound confident and self-assured, but still intimate, playful, and close, and I think that comes through really well here.
There’s still polish to do, but this is the first preview where the animation really starts to feel like itself.
