I've been really into doing more traditional art again recently and started allotting an hour first thing in the morning as "sketchbook time". It's been really nice to start the day not immediately staring at screens and getting blasted by too much information online 5 seconds after waking up.
It's also been great as a warm-up and to experiment and practice a little bit, because I do feel like my art has stagnated a little bit too much in recent years.
This Kai portrait was one of the first finished traditional pieces I've done in a while and the process felt really therapeutic. Coloured pencils are still one of my biggest loves and I wanna learn how to use them more effectively!

PS: Fynni is all better! The foxtail grass has been removed and he was able to celebrate his 16th birthday last week without any bandages or discomfort! Thank you all so much again for your support during that time ; _ ; ) I am always so worried about my little boy, I feel like I've aged 10 years in those few weeks and I'm still trying to catch up on everything.
