🔧 LC2 – Development Status
Now for the serious part.
We’ve hit a critical stage in development for Lust’s Cupid 2. A major issue has come up behind the scenes, and right now the project is unfortunately not at the level of quality we want to deliver to you.
As many of you remember, one of our main developers left the project earlier this year. Unfortunately, that departure hit harder than expected. A lot of LC2’s core systems, especially the new customization logic and animation framework, were originally built by them. Since their exit, we’ve run into serious complications trying to maintain, update, and expand those systems.
Right now, big chunks of the framework are unstable or behaving unpredictably, and before we can build anything new, we need to fully understand, rebuild, or replace their old code.
We’re still evaluating how to move forward, and we want to be honest that this phase will take time, and we are not certain at all that it is worth it to continue down this path, so the consideration of abandoning work on LS2 is crossing our mind and focusing on stuff that would be more exciting for us and would have much more quality.. We don’t want to rush anything, and we don’t want to release something that doesn’t meet the standards you expect from us.

We’re already seeing creativity explode, and we can’t wait to see what the community builds next. Patrons will benefit too, since modders can now easily share premium-quality content directly.
