Hello my sweet Patrons!

A very happy New Year to all of you! I'm wishing you all the best and may all your dreams come true in 2026 🤍

I will for sure be working hard to bring you an even better season of Embers to Inferno!

As promised, I'll try to create a Newsletter every month for the people who are a bit more interested in my personal interests, the girl behind the comic if you will. I have so many interests and hobbies I don't really know where to start, haha. But I think sharing new music, books, and shows I discover with you will be fun and perhaps give you some new interests as well!

As a lot of you may already have guessed from my online presence, I love pink. A lot of the things you'll see here will probably be pink and princess-y and aesthetic 😆One thing you should know about me, is that I love decorating my space. It is so important to me to feel connected to my environment and that the things I'm surrounded with make me happy. Some of you might relate, others will think I'm crazy and that I spend way too much money on useless things 😆

New things 🌼

Physical Media

Let's start with some of the things I got in 2025 that made me extremely happy! Who knows maybe I can inspire some of you, haha!

The first thing I am so incredibly happy with is my return to physical media. I really missed the feeling of picking out a CD to listen to, having to physically get up and put it in, take time to pick the right one and really think about what kind of genre you're in the mood for.

This is why I invested in an old school CD player! I didn't just want any modern player though, no. I wanted something that took me back in time to when I was a little girl. In the end I went for the brand Karcher, and just look at this absolute unit!

She shall be bedazzled in the near future 🤌🏻

My room is truly getting too small for all my interests 😂

This 'obsession' started when I got the IU Discman that was included with her album. It just felt so much more intentional to listen to music like this and I realized I missed it. That I missed having different tech for different things. A smartphones is for sure convenient, but when I can I like to use my discman and CD player.

This made me discover new music as well, I sometimes skip a song too fast before really giving it a chance, but when you've invested money in a CD you tend to listen to it a bit more carefully 😆

Some of my new favourite albums are:

PC Build

Next on my list is my new dream PC setup! You can't imagine how long I've been dreaming about this 🥹I built it all by myself and I honestly never felt so accomplished before in my life hahaha. Graduating university cum laude was not even on the same level as seeing this thing work 😂

It took me years to get to this point in my workspace and I am so proud to finally be there! That I worked hard for it all and even built it with my own two hands. Now it's 100% the way I want it! I truly feel so happy seeing my desk everyday, and I think that's so important when you work from home.

The only thing I still want to change is that ugly ass cable! 😤

Hobonichi

Talking about work, next on my list is the amazing Hobonichi planner! I came across this planner on Tiktok and was immediately interested in how customizeable it was. Up until that point I was using Notion to plan my weeks, but it never really felt right for me. I never really liked digital planning, I only use it so I get reminders about important appointments. That being said, I also never found a physical planner that I was ever able to use the entire year. I either got very overwhelmed by all the pages, or got bored of the same design every single week.

This is exaclty why I love the Hobonichi! It is so versatile and you can make it into the planner that suits your needs without having to do too much. I highly recommend trying this planner out if you're looking for a new one for 2026.

Boox Palma

Last thing I wanted to mention is something I got this year as a Christmas present from my parents- the Boox Palma 2 Pro.

I used to have a Kindle, but I found it to be very limited and even a little too big for me. I got tired holding it pretty quickly in the evenings. Especially since my hands are on the smaller side. I also disliked the lack of buttons, which is so much easier for page turning than the screen! I kept pressing on the wrong part of screen opening the menu constantly lol.

Besides that it only came in black and I have to be honest that it truly grated on me 😅I know that sounds silly, but I just didn't get any joy from looking at it, it's such a boring device even after I customized it 😭 Yes I know I'm insane lol.

But just look at how pretty the Boox is 🥹

I already finished a book and a half with my Boox and I just got it😂

What I read 🌼

Since we talked about my new e-reader, let me move on to the books I finished!

I actually have phases in my life where I go through a reading phase, or a gaming phase, or a nothing phase, haha. So I don't read that much in a year, which I'm hoping to fix with my new E-reader. But I am also just sooooo picky!! I barely like any books, the summary alone is enough to put me off a book simply because I don't like the main character's name 😭

But when I do find that book that hits, I become unstoppable, hahahah. So in 2025 I finished the Captive Prince Trilogy by C.S Pascat! This might not be everyone's cup of tea, but if it even slightly peaks your interest, please read it now!! I genuinely was so hooked by this book, the slow burn romance in it is absolutely amazing! It is a BL romance, so do keep that in mind and please mind the trigger warnings! This book is for sure not for everyone and has a lot of uncomfortable themes.

Other than that I mainly read fanfiction lol. If you ever want me to make a post on my favourite fanfictions let me know 😂

What I watched 🌼

Okay we do not have the time to go through everything I watch in a year, so I'll just share what I recently finished watching!

I finished the anime called 'The summer Hikaru died' and oh my god was it amazing!!! This is an anime that isn't really talked about so it flies under people's radar a lot. But what a gem! I have never been more intrigued and excited to continue watching something. When I finished it, I felt like I'd never find something like this again, it truly made me sad 😭

This is the most perfectly made psychological horror I've ever seen!

What I did 🌼

Something that caught my interest all the way back in 2024 that I never would have expected, were piercings. I never really thought about them, and I always thought I'd never be able to handle the pain. But there was a single piercing that I secretly always wanted- A belly button piercing. So I decided to be brave and made my very first appointment.

Long story short, I got a little addicted lmao.

I suddenly wanted my ears to be bedazzled to the gods so I just kept going back. Currently I have 9 piercings in total and am planning on getting some more in the future. I only want to do my ears though, I don't think I'm suited for any face piercings.

I think when done well, piercings can add such an ethereal look to someone. My piercings really make me feel like a fairy in a way 🥹

My goals for 2026 🌼

I'm honestly not the kind of girl that sets goals for herself, it creates too much stress for me. I just kinda do what I want when it pops into my head instead of setting an 'invisible deadline'.

But for 2026 I suppose I do have some goals!

I want to become a better writer! I for sure want to try and elevate my writing skills by taking some courses or just simply watching some free tutorials. I just have no idea where to find a course that would fit my needs 🤔

I want to spread out my work more amongst other people, so that I can relax and not stress so much anymore. Paying other people to help me has been a goal for a while! But I get reaaaaaally stingy when it comes to things I can just do myself. But I want to try and put less on my shoulders and have other freelancers jump in for certain things so I can focus on the important stuff!

Lastly I want to upgrade my wardrobe! A little silly, I know. But I'm so into the Shoujo anime girl and Y2K look lately that I want more pieces that fit that aesthetic in my closet. I want to dress like I'm the main character of my own novel every day! 🌸

I also would love to have my own place, but that is the kind of wish I just can't bring myself to make a goal. The housing market has been bad and will probably continue to be that way so I don't want to set an unrealistic expectation for myself! So I'll add it more as a wish for 2026, that I will be able to move out of my small room and have a bigger space for myself 🥰

I hope you all liked this look into my life! I couldn't add everything since this was for an entire year of course and I didn't want to bore you too much😆

From next month onwards these will probably be a lot more concise and more focussed on one topic. I sadly don't have that much going on in my day to day life that I can write an entire journal entry with multiple themes 😂

Love you all and have a wonderful winter day! ❄️
