The first month of the year is already over, time is going way too fast! 🥹

I hope you all had a wonderful beginning to 2026! Let me know in the comments what you guys have been up to so far 🥰

I myself had a pretty great January! I worked a lot, but luckily I love working, haha. I also did discover a lot of new things I'm excited to share with you though!

🌼Mp3 Player

Like I mentioned in the previous newsletter, I got back into physical media. I'm slowly building up a collection of albums and hope to one day be able to cancel my Apple Music subscription. I genuinely hate the thought that if I cancel, all my music would just be gone. As you don't actually own the music despite paying an obscene amount of money every month. That's actually so crazy to think about!

One thing I was missing was a way to listen to all my CDs at once and to be able to listen to them while I'm on my walk. That's why I decided to get an Mp3 player, I put all my CDs on this little device and it's amazing. Not only does the battery last literal days, it also has 128GB of memory!

It's called the Innioasis Y1, I got mine from Aliexpress. I initially wanted an original Ipod, but sadly the prices are insane. I was not about to spend 300 euros on a second hand device. 🫠 The Innioasis has a similar design and works perfectly for a fraction of the price! Whipping this bad boy out makes me feel like a true baddie 😌

Maid-sama and Ouran on the back of course 🤌🏻

🌼Music

I got some new K-Pop albums this month! I went off of pure vibes only, my thought process was: 'baddies like that don't make bad music'. And, of course, I was absolutely correct. 😌

I got 2 (G)I-DLE albums, and I adore both so much! Highly recommend checking them out yourself! Some of my favourite songs are: Bloom, Last Forever, Vision, and 7 Days.

🌼Books

Okay, so I read a lot in January... like a lot lot. I'm 300k-word-fanfiction trained, so I just fly through them I fear.🧍🏻‍♀️

First book was Betrothed to the Emperor, which I dropped after about a hundred pages. I desperately wanted to like this book, because the premise seemed so interesting. After the Captive Prince I've just been desperate for something similar! Sadly this book was not it for me. It had a very slopy unexplained magic system, the main character can randomly talk to animals, and nothing exciting happened in the first 100 pages. They also had these fantasy names that are impossible to pronounce, so you just go '@#$#% said...' 😭

It has a pretty high rating on Goodreads though, so maybe someone else likes it better than me. 🥹

Second book I read was Soul Eater. I will be the first one to say that this is not everyone's cup of tea, but I ate that shit up. 😂 While not the best book I've ever read I enjoyed myself immensely, and that's what's most important at the end of the day.😌 The main love interest is a demon who falls in love with a human soldier after the US got overrun by demons. Everyone is kinda killing each other but these two are still able to find love heheh. 🥹 The entire relationship is absolutely adorable!

There is a LOT of smut though, and I enjoy some good smut like any other cultured woman, but it was a bit much near the end and I did end up skimming over some of the later scenes. Sometimes I just wanna get to the plot you know, hahaha.

Third, fourth, and fifth book (Yes I know I'm insane) was the Hunger Games trilogy. I know, I know, have I been living under a rock? I watched the movies when they came out, I promise! I just never had a chance to read the books. And well, I'll be forever chasing the high that was this series... 🫠 Even though it's more targeted to a young adult audience, it was not noticeable at all in the writing! This was just an absolutely amazing read and I recommend it to everyone even if you've already watched the movies. The books are truly on another level!

I actually read the first 2 in a week 🧍🏻‍♀️I was only reading during breakfast and before bed, I promise I was working! 😭

🌼Fashion

This month I found some amazing new brands that sell the cutest 'Main-Character-in-a-Shoujo-anime' clothes ever!! 🌸🥹I'm so obsessed with Japanese fashion but it's hard to get your hands on in Europe! After some research I came across the brands 'Angel Ruche' and 'Chérie Lou'. Both the customer service and quality of the clothes are great! They're not Shein cheap, but also not high end, so I'd say pretty affordable for most!

I'm on a mission to become the Shoujo main character I was always meant to be so I'm slowly building my dream wardrobe 😤

Some of my favourites:

Excuse the messy picture, I should have tidied up before lol

🌼Movies and series

I finally watched Barbie in a Fairy Secret and Barbie in the Pink Shoes! I watched them with my best girl-friend and we enjoyed a Fairy Secret so so much! Despite it being nothing close to the original Barbie movies, it was at least hilarious. I had a good time watching it and that's more than I can say about some other newer Barbie movies 😅

I'm afraid Pink Shoes was not a winner... 💀 Very predictable, and the 'message' at the end was not it for me lol. Please dance classical ballet pieces like you're supposed to guys! 😭Also, who is that strange Blonde girl? Because it ain't miss Barbara, that's for sure. 💀 Genuinely got mad at her through the entire movie lol.

With my best guy-friend, I watched a Chinese anime, 'Lord of Mysteries'. The artwork in this anime is absolutely stunning! It even inspired the cover of ETI for season 2 a little! Every scene was absolutely breath-taking! That being said, I can't tell you anything else about it lmao. The plot is the most convoluted thing I've ever seen 😂 You need all your braincells ready to watch this show, because you'll be completely lost otherwise. 😅 It's fast paced and yet slow at the same time, genuinely don't know how they accomplished that. Perhaps I should five the webnovel a try.
